That was a good football game. Tennessee’s defense was relentless.

Looking at it now, off the top of my head:

BUF, KC, TEN, MN, SF, PHI, DAL, BAL(?)

This playoff year is gonna be nuts.

I am convinced that the Bears GM pays the officials to make calls against them if they’re winning. There have been som bad calls or no calls in that game. Some serious phantom calls and a clear PI miss. Or uneven each way at a minimum.

Next week will be interesting. MN vs Wash, and Bills vs Jets. Trap games, IMO, I think both teams might be looking ahead to Nov 13...that will be one hell of a matchup.

The trap game for Buffalo was last night vs. Green Bay.  The Bills are a -13 fav at NYJ.  Don't see it being a trap game unless you're looking at the division rival part of it.  The Vikings at a -3.5 at Washington.  I swear every game is a trap game for the Vikes... LoL!!!

-13 is exactly WHY I think it's a trap game for BUF. The game last night was closer than it should have been. 2 of Josh's INTs were sloppy and careless, IMO, and wanting to admit it or not, the Jets are playing well right now.

You called it…

Unfortunately. That being said, BUF is gonna be PISSED next week. I feel sorry for the beatdown that is going to happen. Josh was sloppy again today. I think after watching film, he's going to double his focus, and get back to being Josh. They slumped a bit last year, also, and came back with a vengeance.

Since Dallas just blew a 14 point 4th quarter lead are they going to be PISSED and beatdown the Vikings next week just like Buffalo did today as result of losing to the Jets last week? ?

Well, I'm 1-1 on bold predictions (was correct on the BUF-NYJ, wrong on the BUF-MN), so I dunno.

I am aware of the "YOU'RE NOT PART OF THE TEAM" argument, and I disagree with that sentiment. WE are part of the Gophers. I (or if I happen to find another Bills fan around here, it'll be "we") are part of the Bills. 😛 Deal with it. Grin

Eagles lose to Warshington.

I’ve thought Heinicke was the best backup in the league for a couple years (along with Keenum) but man this is a new level. He’s gonna keep the job even tho Wentz is healthy.

Everything that COULD go wrong, DID go wrong tonight for the Eagles. They didn't help themselves at times (that late hit towards the end of the game, for example)...also see BUF-MN yesterday, and that was WITH the refs' help (yes, I try to be objective).

It happens.

I think MN, PHI, and prob SF are real contenders. The rest of the NFC? Frauds. Mayyyyyyyyybe if TB gets their sh* together, but that's a maybe.

Philly wasn’t gonna go undefeated and losing to a surging division rival that they underestimated is not surprising. Felt like the Eagles were a bit flat and never got it going. Didn’t help that AJ Brown seemed to get hurt on his first catch but kept playing and had no impact on the game.

WAS last 3 games are impressive v GB, MIN and PHI as they could have won all 3.

SF is just getting back healthy and once they get CMC fully integrated into the offense and their D cranks it up they are gonna be the team no one wants to play in the playoffs.

Interesting stat on NFL Live:

League-wide average of 11 yards per completion is the lowest since 1933. League-wide average of 4.5 yards per carry is the highest in history.

It is interesting since this is a passing league who seems to care very little for RBs and have been paying huge $$ for WRs lately.

Part of it is the higher number of running QBs but it’s also defenses using more athletic players versus physical players. If you’re gonna put a 250 DE out on first down a lot of teams are gonna run right at them and successfully.

Playing the pass, since this is a passing league, equals lower pass numbers/higher run numbers (per catch/carry).

Frankly, and someone smarter than me should chime in on this...why not take that 6'4" 4WR and convert to a cornerback? He already knows how to think like a receiver, and knows offensive routes...better than sitting on the bench most of the game, you know?

I've never coached, or played, so there are things I simply don't get other than the bland cliched reasons "smaller players are quicker" or "more agile" or whatever. Imagine a stud CB that size? There are/were a handful of 6'3"/6'4" in the NFL, but none were superstars, there has to be a reason.

It’s not entirely the same movements from WR to CB. First off running backwards/back tracking is quite different. Also, CBs need to have a ton of hip flexibility. That is usually the first thing to go when they get older and they “lose a step.” It is because they cannot open their hips as fast anymore to change direction. WR is proactive and CB is reactive. WR knows what route they are running and CB has to react to that. Different skill set. Learned over time.

The best success story I can remember of a WR turning to CB was Richard Sherman. Drafted as a WR and Seattle made him a CB. Turned out well for him. I’m guessing that if you don’t transition right away out of college, you can’t spend a year learning. NFL teams don’t have time or want to waste resources for that.

True enough, but when you start talking about Buffalo setting records for most extreme snowfall, that's not something to mess around with.  And, depending on the timing, you're looking at 3-4 inches per hour, not sure it's realistic to be able to hold a game in that.
