The dugout reporter just indicated that he talked to the Dodgers manager who said RP Will Klein will pitch the 17th inning (he has already pitched the 15th and 16th) but if the game goes to the 18th he will have to use a position player to pitch. 😮
Dodger SP Yamamoto who pitched a 9 inning complete game in game 2 is now warming up in the bullpen in game 3. 😲

Willie Klein ended up pitching 4 innings and getting the win. He pitched 14 times for the Dodgers this season the most pitches he threw in a game was 36. He threw 72 pitches today. He will be telling his grand kids about this game.

Ohtani got on base 9 times, 4 hits (2 homers and 2 doubles) with 5 walks.

Wouldn’t you at that point?! I was surprised they didn’t intentionally walk him that last at bat even with a guy on first and two outs. Although it just ended up an unintentional walk.
