I came here to post about the ridiculously bad ESPN broadcast. Multiple people beat me to it. I muted them after the second intermission hogwash.
2nd int, Messier going on for 5+ min about how the Wild can’t kill a penalty right after a huge PK by the Wild (Faber shot block) and the Wild can’t skate with the Avs and the Wild are an AHL team plus Hughes/Kaprizov blah blah blah. His CTE must be terminal stage at this point.
On that 2v1 when Tarasenko got beat badly, Faber was able to completely negate the resulting Avs rush (no shot on net) — and yet PK simply would. Not. STFU. about Devon Toews making some ancillary minor play 20-30sec before (I still have no idea what Toews did to earn that impromptu massage-parlor session from PK)
At this point, any criticism about the Wild, rational or not, is probably fair game. 😆
PK has a way of making designer clothes look like thrift shop outfits. In a way I suppose that's fitting because we get thrift shop analysis, too.

Pregame Messier said Boldy was one of the leagues best up and coming CENTERS who nobody has heard about yet. Also said that he and Kiprussof made a good duo. PK is quite a bit dumber than Messier.

yeah kinda noticed that he looked like an old man easing into a hot tub on the cross ice pass to Nelson that he hit the pipe on with a half open net. Gus was a day late getting over. Avs get in the ozone so fast it’s just too much scrambling around on defense and look a step behind the pace. their stars are likely too fast for Moose to square up yeah. He can still finish and hit them, but acting like they can go take a run at one of them and connect to “blow them up” like it’s that simple just isn’t true.

Brock Nelson being from Warroad and UND hasn’t really never used his size to be goonish. He’s always been a clean player using his size with his skill and staying away from the cheapness in his play.

KK now tied for 2nd in Wild history for most points in a single post-season, doing it in 4 less games than Parise did in '13-'14. Gaborik had 17 points in 18 games in '02-'03. And while he has yet to score a PPG he does have 4 PPA. Parise was a -3, Gaborik +2, KK so far +11.
Boldy and Quinn are also in the Top 10 all time so far (8th and 6th respectively), with Faber and Zucc just outside at 11 and 12.
Don't know if that says more about this post-season or the lack of previous success from the franchise.
