I’m not someone that judges a kid for taking off their second place medal immediately after getting it, but it’s cool to see the goalie that was in net for an OT loss keep it on.
That Hibbing team was gutted, but they didn't play enough defense to win. They're a fast-break team that doesn't look back. Johnny Pohl called them riverboat gamblers, and I'd have to agree.
Hibbing may not of taken home the championship trophy, but at least they’ve represented 7A nicely for 2 straight glorious years & are a true Single A school by the letter & spirit of the rules …unlike those shameless sandbaggers from Hermantown! lolThat Hibbing team was gutted, but they didn't play enough defense to win. Just an amazing game. The epitome of "It's awful that one team had to lose". It was great to see two legit Class A teams where each had a number of remarkable players. I'm glad it ended in the first OT; after that it really becomes an endurance contest, where skill contributes less. I hope tonight is a mirror of this one.

Watching Joey Cullen reminds me quite a bit a Mooney. Doesn’t blow by people but stays on the puck really well and sees things lot of other players don’t. Interesting to see him looking like the one who’s pressing to try get the offense going
