@gopherguy06 If you medically retire, which may have been necessary depending on what the reason was, you're not eligible to return to the same team. You have to transfer if cleared to play.

Probably a good example, by both sides, of not burning bridges in the recruiting process.

In case anyone wants to read about the new QB. He is mostly a depth guy, but we needed depth. Sounds like he can run too, so maybe use him for wildcat packages.
Hopefully with a better first step...if Danny had worked on his footwork more he could have been an all timer. As it is he is still quite good based on size and pure ability and last I saw was still playing.

IIRC he's the starting RT for the Ravens.
He was their swing tackle last year. Not a full starter but will see some action. They just drafted a new RT too who was Wasington's RT in the 2nd round so he will need to battle for PT.
I know some people don't like Fleck, but he is consistently recruiting at a high end for Minnesota. He's also done a good job (IMO) at retaining the high end talent (Darius Taylor, Daniel Jackson, Jah Joyner, Aireontae Ersery).
All the things many of us find annoying about him are friggin perfect for the modern era of college football...especially the NIL era. He brands himself and his culture exactly how players want to brand themselves.
These are nice. I like them a lot. While I wasn't a fan of the black or the Goldy face on the helmet, I did like the chrome gold and chrome maroon a lot.
The press release did say they would keep the black uniforms as well.
But these are great, especially the gold numbers on the maroon jerseys. I like that they change things up every now and then.
Not sure if anyone here is planning on playing NCAA College Football 25, but here is a clip from a streamer with Minnesota in the game (it's Goldy spinning his head). Thought it was pretty cool.
I can't remember the last NCAA FB game I played, but with it I alternated between taking Minnesota and Arkansas to multiple national championships in career mode or whatever it was called.
In that version you could set your NC schedule and I always picked Top 5 teams to boost my rankings.
Between NIL and the portal, the college game is more "pro sports" than the pro sports. It' stripped a lot of what I loved about college sports away.
Anyway, less than one week until Gopher football! Gameday picked us to beat UNC 3-2 (of course Kirk H. picked UNC). It will be a bit of a tone setting game. UNC will be down this year, a game that could go either way but that I think we really need to win to get off on the right foot and secure our hope for a bowl game.
