When we switch over to the new board, I am about 90% sure I can create "sign ups" that can be embedded in to threads like this. Making it easier to keep track of it all.

Depending on location and Wild schedule, I'd probably be in for most of these

A regular appearance is probably not in the cards for me. Especially in spring/summer/fall since I will be at our.....er.....YE's....lake place most weekends.

That is with me too. I would love to do early Sundays but I dont want to wake up at 6am to clean up a cabin to head home

I wouldn't be a fixture every month but would try to make it at least every other month or at least the times it was at a more south than a north rink.

I’d be in! I’d prefer afternoon like we did but would do anything. I can probably get ice at Eagan sometime if that’s an option. I go to Burnsville regularly too so can ask there too. It’s a cool building!

If it was monthly during the hockey season I’d be up for that.

I'd be in for a monthly icetime, but 5pm Sundays wouldn't work for me. My kid has baseball from 4-6 every Sunday from April thru June. :censored:

Monthly might be a bit too often IMHO. Fun but I'd struggle to regularly get there. Stupid life getting in the way a little too often.

As long as we get enough to have at least three on each bench we’d be good, right?! That’s a luxury considering my regular Tuesday skates usually have one or none on the bench these days. LoL

Bert - throw out a couple dates and times and see if we can get enough for an April or May skate. We can live without you cabin folk now and then ;)

I’m happy to organize one too if we can decide on some rink options. Does Mariucci rent ice in the summer?

What about Augsburg? That would seem pretty central, right?

Avoid.

Very expensive and requires insurance.

Also, we'd need more oxygen tanks given the larger Olympic sheet LoL

Personal Oxygen canisters seem to be something that would have been a good idea. ;)

Highly impractical, though.

B1G refs... corrupt, or just incompetent?

Don't they take the ice out this time of year?

Yes... They started this process on Monday. It will be this way for a while since many graduations will be at Mariucci.

Does the ice remain at Ridder all summer or at least until spring?

Speaking of insurance (auto insurance in this case), I'd also avoid Harding Arena. My car was broken into there last fall in broad daylight. Hope they enjoyed the 20 year old windbreaker and stethoscope they took. :ddown:

I would imagine so since the team will need a place to practice after wining their regional. :)

I have inquired at Augsburg and am awaiting a schedule. I can throw a couple out there and gauge interest if that’s a feasible location for folks.

60 minutes of ice time is $210 + tax

75 minutes of ice time is $262.50 + tax

90 min. $315 + tax.

I might be able to get a discounted rate on ice. It would be in Rosemount.

Haha good luck with that, nobody wanted to go to Eagan. ;)

But I’d love Rosemount!

I have the ice schedule from Augsburg. When I have time to go through it I’ll pull out some times and post them.

As I’m sitting on the couch watching hockey the next four days, I should have some time, apart from 5pm Friday night and tbd Sunday!

I'd love Eagan. Or Burnsville. But I know I'm in the minority.

I can also get a very nice rate on ice at several other rinks but they would be in East Grand Forks which i imagine is less popular than rosemount

I have Eagan ice times through June, they appear to be $175 + tax for an hour.

Here’s some options for Augsburg for the next three months:

Rink A is the preferable one as it is their college team ice. Rink B isn’t as nice. The numbers were small so I hope these are accurate.

Sunday April 24 Rink A 5:45 PM, Rink B 5:30 or 6:45 PM

Sunday May 15, 22 Rink A 2:45 PM

Sunday June 5 2:45 PM

Sunday June 12, 19, 26: Rink A 2:45, Rink B 3:30, 4:45, 6:00, 7:15

Any interest in any of these dates? I don’t know how many of the folks who skated will even see this so feel free to ask around. Bert maybe you have contacts for the non lurkers here?

Maybe something to think about...

https://www.ramseycounty.us/residents/parks-recreation/ice-arenas/reservations

Fire sale ice

Any hours left open during the current week, at any time of year, can be reserved at the following discounted rates.

Prime-time and School Day: $110/hour

Non-prime: $90/hour

I'd be a strong maybe for any of those... my only "yeah but" is if the Wild have a playoff game that conflicts, I'd opt to watch the Wild over skating.

Eagan had earlier in the day times (like before 1pm) - how early do they play Stanley cup playoffs?

I kinda get the feeling this is going to be a bust anyways. Doesn’t seem like much interest for the summer cabin folk. ;)

What about April 24th at 5:45? Any interest?

May is tough because they only have 1 rink available. (At Augsburg). There are some 10:15 times available. LoL

Help spread the word to see if we can get enough interest to save the ice time. If we can get two goalies I imagine we should shoot for at least 16 skaters and we can just rent an hour since we’ll all die LoL

Bert can you help us out?

I would start a new thread and see what interest we get.
