Thats just as of now. I would’ve thought McLaughlin will leave since I don’t think he’d play much next year. But I guess I’d take him as a 7th or 8th D if he wants to stay.

Sclossman article this morning saying to possibly keep an eye on Cullen potter, that would be interesting..
He also suggests Evan Murr is a strong possibility to enter. Hints at Henricks and Burnevik following Larson to Minnesota as essentially fait accompli, though maybe Oliver has some magic in him.

Maybe I’m in the minority but I wish Clark was sticking around. Who knows if this is more him getting pushed out or potentially pushed down the lineup and him deciding he wants to explore other opportunities elsewhere. But I liked him centering the fourth line two years ago. I understand his offensive production left much to be desired this past season but still think he could have had a decent role on the team next year. But, again, who knows if he decided he doesn’t want that (can’t blame him) or if Larson doesn’t see him as part of the future of this squad and had to have a very candid conversation with him.

given he’s been on the pp2 and that certainly doesn’t seem in the cards, can’t say I blame him for not wanting to come back to play 4th line (and I don’t know if he really fits what Larson has said he wants in terms of grit in addition to being pretty poor on the dot).

per CHN, we won just under 45% of draws this year. Ludtke was the only guy over 50% at 51.7

to be fair, Falloon Harris Rud and Begley shouldve been the healthy scratches if the roster is healthy and full

Agreed. I’m excited to see who we can add that will bring some grit. We need to open some spots and make some fairly significant moves. Bringing back the same mix of guys that don’t play physical would be disappointing. New coach… now’s the time.

I couldn't agree more. I hope he finishes up his career in a positive way, but Clark can't be a part of any meaningful rebuild. He has some speed but that's about it.
He’s ok in terms of vision and setting people up but he can’t score on his own which isn’t conducive to being a top6 center. He’d be ok as a 3C maybe but even then he’d need good teammates to generate points. If he’s leaving I assume that means they have some centers coming in.

I think player advisors for guys like Fitzhenry & Schneider told them to sit tight this winter until the smoke cleared surrounding the Gopher program (riding out a tuff season) & then what might happen after that…before committing.

agreed. i'd be pretty surprised if they both are there next year. though that point would be pretty dumb compared to say coming here to play with Cullen who would be far more likely to still be here when he'd hit campus. Also the recruiting him on social media by players is kind of funny. I'm pretty sure all these guys are well aware of the environment at Mariucci, the Ralph, and basically every local rink (and sometimes even more than local) given how much they travel around playing through youth hockey and in Jr.

Big kid. Wouldn't mind having him in the pipeline for down the road. Did some reading...knocks on his skating, but sometimes that takes time when you're 6-4, perhaps a late bloomer there. Ranked 93 for NA skaters, not too shabby.
He won't help the squad this year but would be a nice pickup for the future.
Would absolutely be a 2027-2028 recruit I would imagine. Skating can be choppy; done fairly well in the WHL this year. Physical...Larson could see him in the Burnevik archetype. Also possible he is just looking elsewhere in general after coaching change.
Yeah he could just be pulling a Hawke Huff and decommitting to go elsewhere. Wouldn’t mind him as a older depth piece but not losing sleep over it either way.

The was a guy on 247 who seemed to have some pretty good connections that Smith's injury was bad enough that he will not be coming here because he will not be 100% by the start of next season for what it's worth...
