That's 18-21 forwards. Obviously there are some pretty simple cuts there I'd say, but going to be a really interesting/dynamic couple of weeks when the FF ends
College hockey is better and deeper than ever, and USHL a bit watered down. Sending him back to juniors (USHL or CHL) to round out his game is the right move.
I think I remember that Katz has very strong family ties to the U, so may be an easier convo to get another year in juniors from him.

Humphreys: 9 pts in 4 game sweep of Harper's Saginaw. Will play Soo Greyhounds and Chase Reid (MSU commit, consensus top 10 pick in upcoming draft) in semis. Series starts April 10
Harper: done; has not posted anything about plans for next year yet. Finished postseason with 3 pts in 4 games. Regular season was 5th in defenseman scoring, #1 among rookies by 26 points
WHL
Kvasnicka: Penticton has advanced and awaiting opponent. He has 9 points in 5 games.
Casey: Medicine Hat advanced 4-1. Casey got 1 game and stopped 28/30 shots. Their starter stopped 74/85 shots in his 4 games and 17/21 in their last game. I'll be curious if they give Casey more work.
USHL
Playoffs just got announced
Grimes: Sioux Falls has a bye
B Cullen: Fargo has a bye
Phillips, Katz, Conboy: Green Bay plays Madison (Nevers). Series starts 4/10

Just thinking out loud - understanding there are a lot of moving parts still - defensive pipeline could become right shot-heavy after being inundated with lefties. Harper/Geiger/McArthur all right shots. Laylin and Huff (if they commit) are right shots. Add in Henricks as a possible transfer, and it is a lot of them.

Hes a good player. Laylin is about the same caliber of player, maybe even a bit better. Lose one, gain one 🤷♂️
to be fair to Laylin, he's on the central scouting rankings, which I don't believe Grimes ever was. Now you could argue name recognition for Laylin, but neither of his brothers were drafted.
Watched an extended interview with Coach Laylin where he was talking player development, recruiting, etc.
Of the group he was the guy I knew the least about. He has a strong background and seems like a great guy. I really like the staff.

Schloss is not one to mess around with this type of stuff.
What this reminds me of is the merger of the Minnesota North Stars and Cleveland Barons in 1978. It isn't going to boost us to contention for the national title, we simply do not have the elite talent for that at this moment. But at least it gets us out of the cellar.
Assuming these all become factual transfers, it is an interesting list.

Christian Humphreys... unexpected. Played 10 games for Michigan 2 seasons ago before bolting to OHL. Curious as to why? Either way he seems to be have been a solid player for USNDT U18 (1 PPG) as well as for Kitchener of the OHL (1.3 PPG). But was a 7th round pick for NHL. Curious as to the scouting for him.
Tanner Hendricks appears to have been injured this season. Only played 14 games. 6'4", 205 lb 4th round draft pick... Nice size. Must be talented.
Murr- Undrafted, but has scored for Mankato (0.75 PPG as a D) and wore the A this season.

Humphreys likely was the typical of what we saw from some NTDP guys are just not ready. Has been really good in the O this year. Would imagine he would've benefited from going the route Kvasnicka did this year from the go.
