@boninthebear I would think the face offs should be dialed in. Updated schemes for the PP and PK? Maybe dip into Brad Frost’s playbook and work on some of those ‘trick’ plays that worked for Abbey Murphy all year. Imagine the goalies are dialed in on the oppositions tendencies… and watch a little film on Quinny as well. If Western loses and the Gophs bump back to 4, I could see the Committee move Q to Fargo for a rematch 👍

I expect Denver will find a way to beat WMU tonight & corresponding the Gophers will match up against Rem Pitlick & Mankato in Fargo. That should be interesting.
That would be so Minnesota if Rhett gets the GWG against us.
I don’t think AHL teams are allowed to compete in the ncaa regionals but I could be wrong…😉
Didn’t know Rem got his eligibly back.
Zero reason the Gophers can’t win 4 in a row. I am excited to get to Fargo.

this. all about matchups and who plays their best at the moment. styles and seasons kind of go out the window at this point, though some teams with a little more margin for error. Heading into last year, no one thought if DU was going to win it would be 2-1, 2-1, 2-1, 2-0 while getting outshot in every game but Davis was lights out and they sold out blocking shots and keeping teams on the perimeter.
play our best hockey and we can beat anyone. One step at a time. out of the teams coming into the tournament, only 6 aren't coming in off a loss with multiple teams having not played in a couple weeks. No excuses. Hopefully they're ready to rock
I expect a close game with Denver beating Western tonight. If that happens, it will probably be Gophers vs Mankato in Fargo on Thursday.
That coach knows how to flip the playoff switch, and the team deserves a lot of credit.Heading into last year, no one thought if DU was going to win it would be 2-1, 2-1, 2-1, 2-0 while getting outshot in every game but Davis was lights out and they sold out blocking shots and keeping teams on the perimeter.
I can hardly remember a Minnesota team that's played that way
I would not be surprised to see the purple cows flipped with Quinnipiac, the Gophers may have a rematch with Quinnipiac Thursday. It doesn't matter much who they play. It hurts with Huglen out. The rest of the boys have had plenty of rest. Hoping for 4 big wins coming up and a 6th championship trophy.

we have to play umass. all other 2s are HE teams and can't play Umass. QU is a 3 seed and in the band with UMass
If a conference has more than 4 teams that make the NCAA tournament they are allowed to have a first round match up. Having said that I see no strong reason to have the Gophers play Quinnipiac and have a Hockey East first round match up of U Conn vs. U Mass.
Denver goalie pulled a Souliere and lost the game.I expect a close game with Denver beating Western tonight. If that happens, it will probably be Gophers vs Mankato in Fargo on Thursday.
Alex Bump is a beast, Hampton Slukynsky made some huge saves. Western Michigan is built a lot like Michigan State and wear teams down. I like the well rested Gophers chances against any team this year.

How about, refs refuse to call two tripping penalties that lead to goals?
