Does anyone else see SCSU and Mankato State potentially playing deep into overtime today? On one hand it would be nice for the winner to be extra tired on Saturday. But on the other hand I don’t want the Gopher game to start at 9PM or later!
I had timers to record our games but since teams weren’t set on the guide the name of the program changes and it canceled my recording. I thankfully caught today’s to reset it but will lose Saturday’s. (Trying to start a timer through the spectrum app never works.)
I wish I could record a program based on time and not program name. :/

To me there is no benefit from multiple overtimes with the next game potentially being saturday night, All that means is less sleep for me.
That said, it wouldn't surprise me at all if there were a couple overtimes in that game.

If I'm the Canisius coach, I'm trying to shut down Minnesota's first line. I would say that about any team. They have to shut down the Cooley line and take their chances with the rest.
I don't know the first thing about the way they play, but I am expecting disruption in the neutral zone and packing around their own net.
I'm guessing they (Canisius) will come out right away and try to hit anything that moves to try to set the tone and "slow" us down a bit. Then they will try to pack themselves in in their D zone and try to keep our shots and bodies to the outside. Not that the Gophers haven't seen this blueprint before.

I was considering going but I wasn’t going to drive up without knowing what I’d pay for a ticket. If anyone is going I’d like to know if there are a lot of tickets available outside from scalpers. With all the minnesota teams in this regional it might be a full arena and not much available.

I would have to imagine, given the makeup of the region, the refs will be either ECAC or HE.

Watching the St.Cloud vs Mankato game. Looks like the center ice camera is mounted in the rafters. Pretty lazy way to cover the game. Zooming in a bit would require the cameraman to have to follow the puck closer. Pretty sad.

I had a hard time believing they would show up to watch these games even if they live in Fargo. Someone on Twitter was saying there were loads of physical tickets sold that went unclaimed.

Here in Fargo. sucks that there’s no band. And MSU brought one. Sad. Guarantee if basketball was in a regional band would be there.
Definitely more Gopher fans than everyone else, but if they all combine forces to cheer for Can, It will be close.

My dad and I went to the airport with a hockey teammate / family friend (and former WCHA ref) and his dad to meet the team at the airport. We ended up on TV when they interviewed Billy Baker, we were looking a the trophy and KSTP wanted to interview Billy. The KSTP folks tried to swoosh us away and Billy basically said to leave us alone and they did the interview with us gawking. That is why Billy B will alway be one of my favorite Gopher captain.
