Totally agree! The goal they have up tonight was pretty flukey. I was hoping to see more shots going to the net on the power play. The Gophs are getting their chances, sooner or later they are going to start going in.

The Gophers seem hell bent on making the other teams look better than they are. I'm sure someone will talk about how their goalie was lights out...but most goalies are lights out against us it seems. Either we just are that unlucky or we just aren't playing that great.

I guess I am not as down about this tie as most. Plenty to work on, but some stretches of dominance and it is not as though the energy level was low. Disappointing result but those will happen. Rebound tomorrow.
We obviously came out super flat in the first period and never really brought our A game enough to beat a goalie who had a good night. Hopefully this is a learning experience. We are trending towards coming out flat in too many games, something tBob might want to adjust for.

You leave the zone to create speed and rush the puck. The gophers stayed out on the ice far far far too long on their shifts. You should absolutely be reracking every time you don’t have lanes from the neutral zone but you need to be rushing as a team and we were just slowly snaking a single guy. It was like they were confused Alaska didn’t pressure the puck at all

agreed rinzel probably had one of his worst games of the season. The whole d core was fumbling pucks. The double Snuggy turnover in our zone was rough to watch. If Moore can ever figure out to make the game slow down enough but keep his legs moving that fast (I thought he was going to make the leap this year, but seems still a year away) he’s going to be crazy good. Wood had another solid game controlling the puck but with how good his shit is it feels like he should have double the goals
If the punch to the face is from a tie, that’s pretty damn nice. Hope they figure this finishing thing out.
