Talk about a windfall for all parties involved...
I see what you did there.
I’ve been staring at spreadsheet so long I look outside and see the clouds are organized in rows and columns.
I don't think it's supposed to work like that....

Spring you say? :confused2:
Near blizzard in Roseau and possible tornadoes in Albert Lea tonight. Gotta love 5th winter and 2nd spring or whatever the hell you want to call it!

Looks like he's down by Red Wing. And based on the radar image I'm looking at, the hailstorm makes complete sense there.

Yeah, we officially live in Ravenna Township, which is about 9 miles NE of Miesville. We're in Dakota County and if I walk across the road on the east side of my property I cross into Goodhue.

I thought that was just how semis took naps.
I was looking how the weather was shaping up for the storms tonight on Weather Underground and was looking at how temps are in the region. Mankato is at 53...Omaha is at 92. That's no beuno! Something's brewing in Iowa for sure.
I checked to see where storm chasers are in Iowa and they are pretty much lined up on Highway 20 between Sioux City and I-35.

One of the plug-ins I have for my radar software shows storm spotters/chasers that are signed in to SpotterNetwork. Mobile chasers generally have their devices linked to GPS locations so their position gets updated in the system. They're the Green and Yellow dots/cameras (some are stationary at homes, of course, but you can see the lines across the highways) Some of the smaller lines are on larger roads off the Interstates

Had some rain and then some hail. Now waiting to see what the next round brings.

Getting thunder and lightning now in the Ridgedale area.
Edit: and sounds like some hail, intensity increased at a split second.

Looks like it's going to be rather tumultuous today.

Drove up north this morning to visit my parents. Between the rain and melting ice on the lake, the Mille Lacs fog machine was working overtime. About 1/2 of the drive along the west shore, visibility was under 50 yds.

The April weather this year can bugger off
Under a tornado warning here until 8:30 PM. Lots of wind and lightning-thunder.
Had some ominous thunder and lightning here, winds were a little strong, quick pass-through, then...nothing. Nothing. 🙁

The wife and kid were flying back from Toronto tonight. They turned north as they approached Wisconsin over Lake Michigan, and didn't turn south until they were over Grand Rapids. Got a pretty cool lightning video out the window though, I hear.
Tuesday’s forecasted high of 36 is about 30 degrees below normal.
FML. We’ve been about 15-20 degrees below normal for a loooong time. I am dun with this.
All the wind today. 8th Ave/Main St in Hopkins has always been a wind corridor, but today is insane.

What a depressing spring thus far. March averaged like 10 degrees colder than last year and April has averaged like 7-8 degrees colder. Plus the clouds. And I think it has only touched above 60 one day in all of April, which was the gloomy last Saturday.

I'm not complaining... I can skip spring and have 3 months (June-Aug.) of nice summer weather. 3 solid months (Sept.-Nov.) of late fall weather and the rest the 6 months can be winter teens to 30's in temps.
Keep your stick on the ice...
That sounds miserable. November averages like 35-40. 7 months below 40? No thanks.
Hoping for a good May.
The weather this spring has not been friendly to the farmers. Ground still too cold around here to plant corn and is not drying out because of the lack of the heat. The last couple of years I planted around Apr 25th, and I'm hoping maybe by the end of next week to get started.

Had about 90 seconds of great thunder/lightning, then...nothing. I was really hoping for a light show. 🙁

wait, depressing sounds right up your alley, would think you’d love this weather?!??

Something like the 3rd worst April on record or something... I read something like that from Sven, but I may be misquoting.
Went right from highs in the 40-50s to 70-80s. Looks like Wednesday will be 85 for the high and 68 for the LOW. Wow.
There has to be a big storm with that…

Just got pummeled by quarter size hail here in Big Lake
Just got pummeled by quarter size hail here in Big Lake
The storm slid just north of us but it still rained like a mofo here in Blaine. It looked like the rain drops were the size of baseballs. Storm clouds blazed in from the west an incredible speeds. It was very dark. After the thickest clouds passed the rain came and the winds blew hard from the East. Weird.
I was planning to fire up the sprinklers to dissolve the pre-emergent crabgrass preventer. I guess mother nature took care of that for me so long as it didn't all wash away.

Hardly a drop here in SSP. Definitely saw the dark clouds in the NE though.

My dad said it got pitch black in Big Lake at 9:15 and had hail by 9:30
I told him the guys offering to inspect his roof for damage should be showing up by 10:00

You're probably right. Im glad that i personally know the owners of two big roofing and sliding companies so i can tell the vultures to buzz off.
Half dollar to golf ball sized hail in West St Paul about 20 min ago.
