As usual, the list is pretty split between “oh come on.” and “wait, they aren’t already in?” reactions from me.
I have no idea how the votes will go but personally I think it's about time for Iron Maiden, Phil Collins had an insane number of hits, INXS as well, and Luther Vandross is already in the National Rhythm & Blues Hall of Fame and the Grammy Hall of Fame which speaks to his body of work.
I feel like someone is messing with us with Pink. I don’t mind her one bit, but that one seems odd.
Shakira too, but I believe she does have monster numbers worldwide at least.

@steve-mn My wife had tickets to a show at Target Center and her friend bailed last minute so I begrudgingly went with and was amazed. Willingly went with her to another show and it was great, too. Talented woman.
To me, the RNR HOF is a sham, since they let in non-RNR acts. THAT being said, playing by their rules, Wu Tang should DEFINITELY make it, along with Shakira.
One that should not is Lauryn Hill. I don't believe she has the qualifications. Flash in the pan. She was OUTSTANDING for about 2 minutes (exaggeration) but that's my point.

The Suburbs are playing a pair of shows May 14th and 15th at the Parkway Theater with each show being dedicated to the 1st or 2nd halves of their careers. Got tix for May 14th as we return to Minnesota on the 9th.

Didn't want to go back through 38 pages, so forgive me if this has been brought up before. I've been down the rabbit hole on their music lately. Have not found a song I didn't like.
They have so many good songs that dip into history.
This band has been blowing up on my SM feeds and of course my man Rick Beato is all over it.
I don't know if what they're doing is sustainable or will fade, but at least for now they're again proving the kids are all right.

I have to imagine, if one learns a horn and is THAT talented, one could learn other horns more easily. Same with guitar/bass (and I don't know if they differentiate on how many strings there are).

If you have a mind for theory and are proficient at the piano, a lot of instruments are unlocked.
When he started his career and presented his music to Warner brothers they asked him who was the band? He responded he was the band he recorded all the music on his own he was he best 😎💜 I remember back in 1987 he played a show in Golden Valley at a night club called Rupert’s now known as the Metropolitan he started the show with Sign of the times, after the 1st song he announced that they were the house band tonight is that all right? Rupert’s had a house band called R-Factor

This weekend at mystic Lake casino my favorite band the Suburbs are playing outdoors, when I was growing up I worked for my father at MPLS Glass company. He had a really nice secretary who worked for him I tried asking her out to go see the Suburbs, she responded you want me to go see my brothers band? Her brother is Hugo Klaers drummer for the band and still plays. In the late 80s early 90s one of the daughters of the Cargill family wanted to get married to a famous musician from MPLS she got married to Beej Chaney. They got divorced in the lat e 90s or early 20s. He inherited a great deal of money and moved to Los Angeles. He would go swimming in the Pacific Ocean and sad news he drowned in the ocean in 2025

I remember this very well, thay had a band member Bruce Allen who passed away around the same time, they did a tribute show for both of them at 1st Avenue that band had not played in a long time. They sold the show out and decided to bring the band back, so fun!!! I remember back in the 80s they were set to play at the Cabooze on halloween they advertised the show as Some Bears, they showed up on stage dressed in bear costumes 😎

Hi all, Well, moving day is here. They are moving to the Madison, WI area on May 16 to be with and near family. (Deforest, WI) May be the last update for awhile, so I thought I’d give one more shout out to see if we can help raise a little more with upcoming moving expenses. We all know how that is. Pat is hanging in there and getting a little better each day. He’s still keeping up with his PT. He’s still playing a little around the house, but no plans to return to the stage. He’s still writing and painting. Leave some messages and greetings and well wishes and say Bon Voyage and safe travels. Everyone here will miss him. Thanks again for all of the great years and great shows. Best wishes. I’ll add a video out here as soon as I figure out how. It says to first post a public video to YouTube, so I’ll work on it.

Yesterday I was on my IPad I saw a story regarding Prince, his last year he played shows solo with a piano and mic. They said he was not able to stand up to play his guitar. They said he was in so much pain for both of his hips, he had both hips replaced, RIP Prince💜

RIP to Jennifer Finch. She was a badass. In addition to being a great bassist, she was a fantastic photographer and did an amazing job capturing the LA punk scene in the 80s and 90s. L7 should have been bigger than they were. As always, f cancer.

She is amazing on the piano. And you can usually tell how aggressive she's going to be based on how she's sitting on the bench. If she's sitting almost normally, it will be pretty tame. Sitting about half-way, it'll be slightly aggressive.
When she's perched barely on the edge? Look out, it's going to get interesting, and the piano may need tuning shortly after.
