Much of my youth I heard the sound of Ace Frehley's guitar from the basement where my oldest sister played KISS on repeat. Visually I was a bit weirded out by KISS but sonically they were awesome, though it wasn't until my teenage years did I really appreciate their music. Ace inspired probably thousands of guitar players in my favorite genres which is heavy metal. In fact so much that some had tattoos of him on their body, i.e. Dimebag Darrell had one on his chest. RIP ACE

Threw a curveball today at work, played the (clean) Richard Cheese station/whatever on Spotify at work. Had a gray-hair (my age, maybe a little older) ask who the artist was, so she could add him to her music library. Told her, warned her that he stays true to the lyrics, so there may be some cussing. Her response? "Even better!"

The Current (89.3 FM in Mpls) is a big promoter of them. From what I've heard, yeah, they're a decent listen, and yes, they just churn out music.

I am not a generally a vitriolic person despite my occasional ability to voice a counter opinion here however...
So across the street from my house a new house has been under construction for the past 8 months, culminating today with a house party.
Despite all rules in my association, they have built 7 days a week and often enough well past the 5 p.m. limit. 6 p.m., 8, 10 they don't give a shit. They have parked the loudest cement trucks you can imagine in front of the house, at times running it well past reasonable hours of the day.
Cars and trucks coming and going, honking their horns, people standing literally in my driveway to discuss progress without a second thought.
Yesterday the HOA head asked me if it would be ok if they block the street today directly in front of my house with a tent to accommodate a party.
I kindly told him no as I have things to do today and cannot allow to have my car blocked.
Well as I was out of the house last night they went ahead and put the tent up anyway and I could not park in my driveway but down the street.
Right now I am blasting heavy metal (it is about 1225 p.m. local time) as loud as my speakers will allow, and am specifically looking for "fuck you" songs on Spotify to play. These people can seriously eat a bag of dicks for eternity. Tomorrow I will go back to being a decent human being.
Blast some dubstep. That would certainly get under my skin.

Do you have lawn sprinklers you can turn on or can you start washing something in the driveway so all the water runs into their tent? Mow your lawn, leaf blower? I would find all the noisiest things to do.

This Saturday, Brandi Carlisle is playing a show here at Target Center, and The Current 89.3 is broadcasting it live. IIRC, 8:15pm start time. I think it's just audio, but I know in the past they've done video via youtube, also. Either way, she's rather awesome, I plan on listening.

@the-rube She is doing the video as a pay event with the proceeds going to Minneapolis. I will be listening for sure. We rarely miss a concert by her but it wasn't in the cards this year. Glad we can still listen.

He was a musical magician. My brother introduced me to Prince around 1981. I remember the very first time. We were playing ping pong in the basement and he put this cassette in the boom box and said, "You have to hear this!". It was the Controversy album and I had never heard anything like it and was instantly hooked.
I get a kick out of haters that say, "You only like him because he's from Minnesota". Which ignores the fact he was a hugely global phenomena that one time sold out the LA Forum for 21 straight nights. Something tells me that didn't just happen because of Minnesotans.

wish I seen this when it mattered. Wanna drive someone nuts I recommend any predator call, electronic ones come with a speaker that will blast a rabbit in distress for coyotes. Guarantee that sound will stay imbedded in their heads for a week! Keep any pets indoors though.
