6 eps into the Ed Gein series on Netflix and it’s extra f’d up
I tried, and I couldn't get into it. It's a bizarre story, to be sure. I think the Ed Gein actor just didn't catch my attention. There's a slow burn, and/or a slow actor that commands eyes-glued, and this series was neither.

Coincidentally there is a new series called Ed Gein: Original Psycho on the C-I channel. I have not yet checked it out.
I am going to check out the Netflix series as I'm a big fan of Charlie Hunnam and curious to see how he does in the role.

I watched E1 of Death By Lighting, a 4-part series about the lives of Garfield and Guiteau leading up to their ill-fated encounter at a Washington train station. There were a few out-of-period choices of dialogue that were slightly annoying, but both Michael Shannon as Garfield and Matthew Macfadeyn as Guiteau were brilliant. I don't know if I recognize the latter from anything but he has a slight Christoph Waltz like charisma to him.
It's Netflix of course, but as of E1 I'm more than encouraged to want to continue.

After quitting about halfway through Ep 1 of The Studio a few months back I decided to give it another try, and after 2 episodes now I am thoroughly glad that I did. Makes one wonder how many times someone lost out on a promising relationship after having a, "It's not you it's me" moment and giving up too early.
Vince Gilligans new show Peribus is on Apple. Rhea Seahorn stars and third ep released today so it’s easy to catch up.
I just watched the Pediatric Oncologist episode of The Studio. The juxtaposition of Seth Rogan's character being on the phone talking about a movie trailer with explosive diarrhea in it, while his girlfriend's doctor character right next to him talking to a child's mother about cancer treatment with Seth describing what they both do as "very serious" was brilliant.

Just finished the first 2 seasons of the Interview With A Vampire series, spectacular. There’s a season 3 coming next year, they’ve released 2 trailers for it and Lestat is epic. The writing for the character and the actor are riveting.

I'm watching it. Like most Ken Burns docs it's very good. We've been to a lot of the places they're showing so it becomes even more interesting. Finished Task this week. Very well done. It was a quick 7 episodes (I waited until it was complete to binge). Ruffalo will get some accolades. So should the brother from Ozarks. He went through a lot in a short time.

Thanks for bringing this up, somehow I was oblivious to this. On almost anything Burns does I’m usually in, but the Revolution is something I’m interested in but have never researched beyond the rudimentary facts, so I’m excited to get into this show.

They dig deep, lots of things I didn’t know. Also a very honest portrayal of Washington, warts and all.

Every week I watch and wonder if I’ll watch again the following week. It’s doing just enough to keep me interested. You literally cannot guess which direction it will go scene to scene.
Also just renewed for a second season. Ep5 was bonkers. I’ve been rewatching the last episode during the week before the next one comes out. There’s so much going on that there’s little throwaway lines that you miss the first time thru.

It's less about their morality and more about their depth of character. Sheridan typically short-changes the female characters in his shows in that regard. Ali Larter at times completely nails it but it doesn't go far and the daughter's interview to get into college? So cringe.

So many things I didn’t know in the last episode. The French sucked until they didn’t, no surprise Washington exceeded post war except for awful racial policies protecting the slaves of rich people for rich people. Just garbage but sure capitalism.

Started it tonight. Slight difference of opinion on Guiteau, although I just finished the first ep (yes, going to watch the 2nd ep after I'm done typing here), and he comes across as a Don Draper (Mad Men) type of character. I think Jon Hamm could have filled this role nicely (not that Matthew Macfadeyn is doing bad; so far, so good).

Beatles Anthology Ep 1. As if I couldn't have been more impressed by the band this episode ratcheted it up even more. Just brilliant and I have always loved their origin story.

Watching this for obvious reasons 😉

5 eps in, and I have to say, it's juuuuussssst enough to keep my attention. Something happens where I think it's going off the rails, but then something else happens to pull me back in. It's decent, not great. But, I suppose time will tell....

Ep 6 just got me hook, line, sinker. Holy sh*. While not terribly important to the storylines, the dance/party scene, although brief, was fantastic.

A famed Major League Baseball announcer who suffers an embarrassing, very public meltdown live on-air after discovering his beloved wife's serial infidelity, decides to reclaim his career and love life in a small town a decade later.
Many years ago, saw the first season, it was hilarious. It is now on Netflix, and I cannot be more excited to see how the series played out. Hank Azaria and Amanda Peet star in it. Oh, it's raunchy, and Azaria is brilliant. Definitely recommend. Eps are about 20 min long, too, so an easy binge series.
