It is amazing that BC still has 3 goalies and all are freshman even after losing 1.

Watched a bit of Providence vs BC this afternoon. While I prefer a student band, it is cool that BC has an organist that plays during the game. Old school feel.

True but since we play CC two games it wouldn't effect our strength of schedule for the season as a whole.
agreed. Just the in the now part. Our schedule is absolute murder this year aside from RMU
Dumb question - is strength of schedule static and simply decided preseason based on projections, or does it adjust as the season goes on?
Ie does the list of who has the toughest one change throughout the season as teams true identities manifest?

adjusts over course of season. Part of why all the B10 SOS was so high last year was our non con record

How conferences do in non conference games is huge in determining strength of schedules.

So BC gets the kiss of death ranked #1
Aloha!
Feels like it’s been awhile since there’s been a year where there isn’t a team or 3 that look head and shoulders better than the others. Will be a very fun but stressful tournament this year provided our gophers get themselves squarely on the right side of the bubble

I made this observation as well. This year's field is wide open.
I see that CC is ranked, so they're no push overs.
Yikes

A Badger, Wolverine or even a Hawk. The rivalry and dislike is always fun, but it takes the back burner to real life tragedies and events.

Well at the halfway point, the B10 continues to look like it's going to be a slog with no one really pulling away. Means it's going to be really hard for teams to get on the right side of the bubble unless some separation happens between 2 packs of teams. Records and remaining OOC schedules listed via USCHO:
Michigan State (12-4-2, 7-1-2-1-0-1, 25 pts): Ferris State, Alaska or Michigan Tech
Wisconsin (14-4, 8-2-0-0-0-0, 24 pts): Air Force, UMD or Northeastern, Lindenwood, Lindenwood
Minnesota (9-5-4, 5-4-3-0-1-0, 17 pts; only team that has played 12 games): CC, CC, RMU, RMU
ND (8-8-2, 4-4-2-1-0-0, 15 pts): Augustana, Augustana
Michigan (8-7-3, 3-5-2-1-0-0, 12 pts): Stonehill, Stonehill
PSU (9-7-3, 2-5-3-2-0-0, 11 pts): Army
OSU (5-8-4, 0-8-2-2-0-0, 4 pts): Mercyhurst, BG, BG
Going to make the bubble very scary for the B10 this year as only so many games to go around. ND, Michigan, PSU are all in cannot lose from a non con standpoint and need to start getting some sweeps in B10 play to have a chance. Gophers should be fine with a sweep over RMU and then splitting for most of the year to make it as the CC games now look much less likely to hurt them if they drop one. Won't be surprised to only see 3-4 B10 teams if they cannibalize each other as they did in the first half.
Will be interesting to see who emerges from the Big 10 after the cloud of dust settles. I’ll tentatively say Wisconsin, MSU, Minnesota and Michigan.
As it should be. Would love to see regionals do the same with the FF still being bid for.
If the conference tourney is at the level of the WCHA Final 5 or the early years of the NCHC. The large arena is great. Now the NCHC just relies on UND making and paying for tickets. I'm fine with regionals being at "neutral sites".

He is listed as a communications major, which I know to be an easy program because my sister did it. However, if all you're doing is playing hockey and partying I suppose it would be fairly easy to fail classes.
For people craving some college hockey, the BADgers tourney is on Ballys Sports North Extra at 4pm and 730 today. Duluth plays Matt Staudacher's Northeastern in game 1 and Serratore's Air Force play the BADgers in game 2.
Games will also be on BTN+

Isn’t it is the same school with the same regents as the Twins Cities campus? I believe the degree even says University of Minnesota on it without “Duluth.”
I believe the admissions requirements are different, which is to say that academically Duluth is less competitive than U of M, TC.
I had one of mine go to Morris and at the time it was harder to gain entry than was the main campus, which in turn, was harder than Duluth. That's the way I remember it, at least.
A familiar face is ranked #3.

Just based on population it would make sense more people would prefer the Twin Cities location so admissions would be more difficult. As for athletics, I doubt there is a difference in admissions.
Classes should be the same though. I heard they even have classes taught by the same professor on both campuses at the same time with one campus attending online and the other campus attending in person (if they wish).
If they’re going to have the same diploma/certificate, they better have the same academic requirements.

I’m pretty sure you must maintain a 2.3 to stay eligible. A 2.3 is pretty showing and looking somewhat alive in class. Plus there’s always one or two easy A electives.

Would be a damaging loss for New Hampshire. Go Army!

The B1G has picked up some more NC wins the past few days. Which is nice.
@bertogliat they are not the same in any way at all. Admissions standards, class options (there could be a couple shared classes but I never saw one in my 4 years), quality of your degree/job prospects
