There was a BC player that got a 5 today also with a stick to the head and he didn't get the DQ. Strange to see 2 5 minute penalties and neither one got the DQ.
I pulled that game up just as that review was happening. Cross-check to the throat. That one I'm not torn on... he should have been ejected.
Would love to but CHN's You Are The Committee just completely changed. I refreshed with no changes and the Gophers dropped from #5 to #7.
Ahh, you caught a glitch in the Matrix. Coming into the weekend, the Gophers were locked into 6-9 as I recall (maybe 6-8?). You must have loaded up the page when they were in the middle of updating something as a result and it got weird numbers.
Lot of the bracket almost set. CC in if Omaha wins tomorrow regardless of result. STC if they win both of these. UMass if STC wins tonight then loses tomorrow or Denver wins tomorrow
Yeah, you caught a weird glitch where some team's results were getting updated, and the numbers were wonky. I know you well enough to know that you weren't making it up and certainly not lying about it. I was just trying to figure out what possible combo could do that.

If U Mass makes it then only 4 NCHC teams make the tournament and North Dakota playing Omaha in Sioux Falls would seem to be out as a possibility if I am correct in believing that conference first round match ups are avoided unless the conference has 5 or more teams make the NCAA tournament.
Who should we cheer for tomorrow to maximize our chance of going to whioux falls, and without the whioux?
With North Dakota and the Gophers both being #2 seeds they will be in different regionals.
If Denver wins tomorrow along with either BC or Cornell winning I think U Mass is in and Colorado College is out which I believe eliminates North Dakota from going to Sioux Falls since the NCHC would only get 4 teams in the tournament so they wouldn't have the 5 or more teams needed to allow a conference 1st round match up (Omaha will be the #3 seed hosting in Sioux Falls).
Since Minnesota and Wisconsin are close in RPI .5717 vs. .5714 I suppose the committee could say switching them is not really a change but what would the purpose be for doing that?

agreed 100%. UND would be the only team I could see bumping us from Sioux Falls. Interestingly, Wodon from CHN views it differently and has Maine there for bracket integrity, which I could also see an argument for (keeping the 1 seeds with their 2s, which is probably more what the bracket should be about ie integrity). Would pair us with WMU out east (or I guess in Springfield) which I'd like a lot more from a matchup standpoint and would involve not having to sit amongst a bunch of green pukes
