2 Frozen Four goalies have signed. Both just finished their junior season.
Make that 3 out of 4 with Quinnipiac Sophomore Yaniv Perets signing with Carolina Hurricanes

Smart move from Perets. Found a goalie starved franchise and his job wouldve gotten way harder next year with what Q is likely to use. Better to capitalize now and make some money
Slaggert was a senior, but still had a covid year to use if he wanted to. So, it is kind of an early departure.

Since he was drafted that means he can join them in the playoffs right? Oh... wait...
B1G refs... corrupt, or just incompetent?
Seems like he has been playing for ND for about 10 years. Janicke too

No kidding, but then again I'm still shocked Leiberman wasn't in their lineup this season.

Maybe because there are multiple Slaggerts and Janickes that have played for them?
I'm guessing other teams fans have the same feeling about Pitlick and Brodzinski.Seems like he has been playing for ND for about 10 years. Janicke too

Notre Dame might be in the depths of the Big 10 next year. Minnesota, Michigan, Wisconsin, Michigan State will all be good again. Penn State returns a lot and will be better with some good freshmen coming in.
Irish lose Slaggert, T Janicke, Moynihan, Bavaro, Siedem and most of all Bischel.
OSU's leading scorer, Sophomore Stephen Halliday, signs with the Sens.

Wonder if the signing was expected or not within their program. That one is gonna sting for UMD. They do have a good recruiting class coming in though.

His botched cheap shot at the end of his last college game still makes me laugh.
Nadeau leaves Maine after freshman year and signs with Canes
It will be interesting on how many Michigan players now leave. Their coach seems optimistic that some will return. I'm not so sure. McGroarty, Brindley, Casey, Nazar and even D Duke could all be gone.

that would be rather interesting if a bunch of them came back. McGroarty I'd think would be the most in demand from the Jets to come in. The Blackhawks may also want Nazar to come in to balance out their contracts a bit with all their high ranking first rounders. Overall I'd expect a decent number of them are back again, though guess I wouldn't be surprised if there's a big exodus.
If by interesting you mean lame then I agree.
Pat Micheletti said on Beyond the Pond a couple weeks ago that he heard rumblings that Snuggerud would return and all the Michigan guys would be back for another year. He was right on the first part.
I wonder if the Terrier fan that somehow didn’t think that was going to happen will be back tomorrow. I said to my dad that he’d sign within 24 hours if they lost, and this guy disagreed.
BU will certainly reload, but will look very different next year with how many guys they’ll lose

I don't think there is much left for him to improve on in college against D1 competition. NHL is the right place for him.

I'm really intrigued by what his pro career will look like. I'm not sure he'll be able to play in the NHL.I wonder if the Terrier fan that somehow didn’t think that was going to happen will be back tomorrow. I said to my dad that he’d sign within 24 hours if they lost, and this guy disagreed.

He could do really well given the NHL refs make calls. I was telling YE last night Hutson reminds me a lot of Crowley and he came along about 15 years too early for his style game.
As a Habs fan I hope he does well.

Stole my hot take

Crazy thing is they probably won’t lose much. Just the pieces they do lose are massive.
Sounds like Nazar signed according to ESPN

very interesting. will be curious if they let him see NHL time this year or not as puts his contract on the same cycle as Bedard.

yeah i agree completely. The game has changed drastically and he's the exact same size as Quinn Hughes. I think he'll be just fine

He's a really intriguing player to me. Seems to have a huge upside.

I'm hoping to see this thread fill with posts of Denver D who's last name starts with a "B", a pile of BC players, other Denver players, Mich players and a coach named Carle.

Denver sure knows how to find a good coach so I’m sure they’d be just fine if Carle moved on.
Lane Hutson signed. Didnt see it here.

Gauthier signed, will be interesting to see what their freshmen do.

I'd think Leonard signs if the Caps make the playoffs (or could go for an ATO for their AHL team). The Rangers already have about 90million on the cap for next year and Perreault is a late first rounder so I'd think he's back. I'd think Smith signs with the Sharks given the Sharks have been on the record saying he's ready and have compared him to doing what Zegras did (one year and done). Maybe they all say they want to come back for another shot at a title, but I'd be pretty surprised.
