The Big Ten refs are so damn inconsistent. Van Ohm for Penn State just got 5 and a game for a CFB on Wisconsin that was infinitely weaker than at least 3 Michigan hits on the Gophers last weekend that never even got reviewed.

strikes me as similar situation to Naurato last year (except Pandolfo was actually qualified for his hiring), if you’re an AD how do you argue with all the results he piled up right before. likely to view this year as an aberration but I also think BU has some more pressure and a better coaching pipeline.
tangentially, its been funny to see USCHO and CHN hem and haw about how god awful the east is this year. Like my god does anyone not employed by those two outlets actually care about Cornell, Dartmouth, UMass Lowell etc.

Sad news out of Stavely, Alberta. 3 members of the Southern Alberta Mustangs, were killed yesterday. They were heading to a team practice when they collided with a semi truck.

I just mentioned that to someone else; as a high profile athlete he won’t face the same punishments you and I would if we were in that situation.

1) Gavin is about to get drafted high in the NHL. The kid with a broken jaw might be compensated nicely.
2) Gavin is Canadian, attends school in the US and is going to need to play hockey in the US to play in the NHL. Current events do not bode well for violent criminals from foreign countries. He may have trouble staying in and/or returning here to play.

A broken jaw in 3 spots and 3 missing teeth doesn’t come from one punch. Not know all the facts and if this is a credible source. Breaking a jaw in 3 spots comes from multiple punches. And I doubt McKenna is a golden glove fighter.
