A good place to see who is going, and what people will be up to in Tampa. It will help keep the game thread cleaner with just game related stuff.
For those of us that are old pros to the Frozen Fours and especially the two Frozen Fours that have been held there previously, we can share things to do, and places to eat in the Tampa area.
We can also keep everyone up to date where and when the Minnesota pep rallies will be and other social gatherings while we are in Tampa.
Here is the NCAA website that has info on the Frozen Four. It includes a guide to the city and venue info. It will be updated with team activities as we get closer to the FF.

I'm 50% factual and 50% sarcastic. When you get to know me, you will know which is which.
Like I said other places, I'll be staying at my sisters in Palm Harbor. 25 miles away. I also will not have much opportunity to do a lot of pregame stuff. But post game I may.
Anyone on my flight heading out???
Sun Country SY367 leaving Tuesday morning (4/4) at 7:30am

3 of us will be staying at Westin. I’m arriving Wednesday afternoon, leaving first thing Sunday.
last FF in Tampa, I went with handyman and my sister and we all flew from Des Moines to Orlando and drove. Added some fun, going direct to Tampa this time
brother, friend, and I will be getting in Wed night and leaving Sun night. booked an airbnb within walking distance of amalie
My wife, sister, and brother in law are headed out late on Wednesday. 7:45 take-off. Staying in the Hyatt Place in downtown Tampa. Half mile from the arena.
Booked it months ago assuming we'd be there. Glad I did!
Heading down on Tuesday, staying by the airport Tuesday night, Hyatt House through the weekend, then over to Ybor city Sunday/Monday nights before heading home.
B1G refs... corrupt, or just incompetent?
Heading out Weds am early and leaving on Sunday. Staying out in Brandon at the same hotel we stayed at the other 2 Frozen Fours. It is about a 15-20 minute easy drive via the backroads to the arena. Plan is pep rally on Weds night and pregame on Thursday at the Gopher fan bar.

Headed out early Wednesday morning and coming back the next Tuesday. Making a full week of it. Staying on the beach in St. Pete. Planned it months ago and thankfully the Gophers made it. Do not have any plans for off days other than sitting on the beach for a day or two. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Wife and I fly in on Wednesday night and are flying home Sunday Night. Staying with family the first couple nights over an hour away, and then a hotel downtown Tampa Friday and Saturday nights.
Im headed to Tampa on Thursday Delta at 10am. Staying at friends place in LandOLakes. Looking for pre and post game spots.
I'll be there - staying in Wesley Chapel at a friend's.
Like good Minnesotans, we'll be draining the bars of beer before (and after the games).
I'll be there with my old man and my daughter. We're making a quick trip of it, Thursday through Sunday. We'll be limited in the festivities we can participate in due to the group's restrictions (my dad, mobility; my daughter, age).
My dad took me to my first Gopher game (the last regular season game at the old barn) and we've bonded over Gopher hockey ever since. My daughter started being a serious fan this year, and it's been amazing to create a new bond with the next generation. I'm really looking forward to some intergenerational memory-making in Tampa.
I'm doing a family vacay starting in Orlando on Friday and driving to downtown on Wednesday-- staying at the Embassy Suites with a group flying in that day.
I'm sure we will do Ybor at some point-- area around the rink has really grown up since the first time the FF was there. We enjoyed a little outdoor waterfront joint right next to the Convention Center called "The Sail" last time, and being that it is right next to our hotel, I am sure we will again.
I'm planning to make the trip, but still working on the logistics. You know, just the little things like airfare, a room, and a ticket.
The Twins are in Miami the first half of the week, and I've never seen a game there, so I'm trying to work out a way to fly there Tuesday or Wednesday, catch a ballgame, and then drive up to Tampa Wednesday night.
My mother-in-law used to live near St. Pete Beach, so I'll be spending a lot of my weekend revisiting my favorite breweries on that side of the bay: Rapp, Arkane Aleworks, Cage, and Green Bench.
We are flying into and staying in MCO. Doing a Ybor city food tour Thursday before the game.

Small world… I have a friend in Land O’ Lakes as well. I’ve known her for nearly 30 years and her husband hates me… lol!!!
Keep your stick on the ice...
Anyone happen to be flying out of Orlando early on Sunday morning? I’ve been trying to avoid renting a car for the trip since I’m going solo, I could split some expenses or it looks like there is the Nate Wells Express bus option. I’m trying to keep costs down.
Anyone happen to be flying out of Orlando early on Sunday morning?
How early is early Sunday Morning? I'm flying back from Orlando on Sunday, but my flights not until around 1pm. If your flight is later in the morning, I'll be happy to help.
Speaking of help, if anyone is looking to get rid of a single ticket, let me know. It would be great to sit with other Gopher fans. Last year, I wound up sitting with a whole row of (shudder) North Dakota fans. (beyond their misguided love of green, they actually were pretty cool, but still)
I'm flying into Tampa about 5pm Wednesday on Delta. Staying at some hotel in South Tampa about 3 miles from the arena. I fly out Sunday Noon from St. Petersburg airport on Sun Country. I had a different (much cheaper) flight that left at 6:15 am Sunday going through Boston to MSP. Would have been kinda funny because last year coming home we flew from Boston to Miami then home.
I booked a few weeks back, and man I'm glad I did. The flights have really jumped up. My Delta fight is now like $850.
I'm taking my Dad who brought me to my first game when I was like two. I booked and never said anything until they won on Saturday. He was pretty surprised to say the least. There's 3-4 more going in our group staying in various places.

I'm going to be on the 6 AM flight for MSP, trying to get back for Easter.
For those who have been to Amalie before, are there any bad seats? For reference, I have no issue with the upper deck seats at the X. But if the upper deck in Amalie has bad sight lines I would consider ponying up for better seats.
I just flew back from Tampa last night, I’m glad to be going back in 8 days.
Late night Wed Delta flight and late night Sunday return, staying at my parents in Gulfport, FL right on the water.
I haven’t been to a Frozen Four since the road trip with our POI guys back in 2003 and we all know how that ended up!!!

We sat in the upper the last two times and they were fine. Only issue was the guys in front of us leaned forward and then they blocked the ice. A simple request to sit back and why and problem solved.
Note: Due to inflation dirty deeds will no longer be done dirt cheap.
I've negotiated just a couple days away from the 4 year old and 6 month old, so I'm planning on heading down Friday if the Gophers win Thursday and flying back Sunday AM.
Anybody staying in/around Sarasota? May rent a car, but would love to hitch a ride Saturday into town if Sarasota was on your way to/from.
What is the "watering hole of choice" for game 1? is there one yet?
Most likely it will be whichever local bar is the Gophers' fan bar. These have not been announced yet. What is the "watering hole of choice" for game 1? is there one yet?
Once it is announced, I'm sure it will be posted in this thread.

Does anyone know which end the gophers shoot twice?
If anyone is still looking for affordable flights, sun country just added direct flights for first thing Thursday and returning late Sunday. $150 each way.
@okcomputer I would assume the visitor's side since they're #1 seed and should get home both games. Could be a poor assumption though.

damn that's super affordable. hopefully gets more gopher fans down there
@ruestergagt that was my thought too, but haven’t seen it confirmed anywhere. So we think the lower numbers are preferred (eg 301-315)?
Has anyone heard from ticket office yet if they are receiving seats in the ticket allotment? Supposed to be sometime today.
somehow I dropped 200 spots in gopher points from Sunday to Tuesday. I’m right in middle so curious if I get any

I called yesterday. I was told I would know by 4pm today. Still have yet to receive an email.
Just got email. Upper level- ranking of 7,000 on list of 14,000 for gopher score
Really hoping for that end as we are in 311.@ruestergagt that was my thought too, but haven’t seen it confirmed anywhere. So we think the lower numbers are preferred (eg 301-315)?

Email I received says :
305, 306, 326, or 327 of Amalie Arena for the semifinal games. If we advance to the championship, your seats will be located in sections 305, 306, 311, 321, 326, or 327 depending on who we end up playing.

I recommend everyone go to the Red Carpet Event...had a blast last time in Tampa and got a few pictures with Goldy. The team really enjoyed it and I think the band played!
Tampa does a great job!
I hope the Naked Farmer "bar" has more beverages than they list on their website. Plus their menu looks a bit too healthy for this Real Farmer. ?

Splitsville? Really? Probably a good place, but before a hockey game?
I imagine I'll be at Hattricks. A little more my speed.
The question is... will Hattricks be the fan bar for another team?Splitsville? Really? Probably a good place, but before a hockey game?

Last year one of you guys posted videos of the band playing at the bar. It would be much appreciated if you could do that again.
That's the plan, yes. No guarantees. Our group just happened to be in the spot the band took over, so we were right on top of them for it.Last year one of you guys posted videos of the band playing at the bar. It would be much appreciated if you could do that again.

In 2012 Hattricks was host to BC. In 2016, it did not host a team. I have not seen any info on the other teams bars this year. Hattricks is a bit small, but I thought they have added an area to put up a tent.
Splitsville was the Gopher bar host in 2012. IIRC, it was roomy enough and people can spill out into the outside area.
Naked Farmer baffles me.
I miss Fergs.
Edit--
The QU pregame bar is at the Cigar City Brewing by the arena.
