Former Vikings 1st round pick Jeff Gladney signed with the Cardinals today after being found not guilty for assault last week.

A healthy Smith and healthy Hunter would be nightmarish for opposing QBs.

Defense will be imposing for those 6 games
Would be cool if they could move up in the first round of the draft and grab CB Ahmad Gardner; I realize that's highly improbable, but Gardner will be gone by #12. If so, hopefully Daryl Stingley Jr or Trent McDuffie are still available. A shutdown CB would be another great upgrade to the defense.

Good, Peterson was a rock over there and a great veteran presence

When you tell somebody somethin', it depends on what part of the United States you're standin' in... as to just how dumb you are.
Washington is on clock now with pick 11 and then it's the Vikings at pick 12. The following have yet to be picked
WRs Jameson Williams and Chris Olave
DE Jermaine Johnson
DT Jordan Davis
S Kyle Hamilton
Washington traded pick #11 to the Saints. The Saints pick WR Chris Olave.
According to WalterFootball, they take Hamilton now. Three WR off the board so don't go there now.
NVM
Vikes traded the pick
The Vikings trade pick #12 to the Lions. Is Spellman still running the draft?
Seems like the Lions got the better deal out of that trade.
Keep your stick on the ice...
Dropping 20 spots in the first round and only getting that in return?
I’m thinking the Vikings will move back up to take a CB depending on how the picks fall.
…possibly McDuffie from Wash?
of course Baltimore makes the great pick and Hamilton is gone. Would have loved to see the Vikings get him.
Great to see all the top WRs get drafted without the Packers getting any of them
Would be interesting if the Vikings drafted Boye Mafe.
Is somebody going to trade back into the 1st round to take Malik Wills? The playoff teams at this part of the 1st round don't need a QB. Would the Vikings take him with pick #32 or #34 if he is still available?
…and the Packers take a LB. Ha!

I personally think Desmond Ridder is the best QB in this draft so the Vikings have a lot of capital to move around right now and take a QB if there’s someone they like.
The vikings should not take a QB at 32 or 34.
Since we are picking last in the 1st round that means we won the Super Bowl.
and the Ravens make another great pick in Linderbaum.
Another player I would love to see the Vikings get.

Hang the banner, baby
You gotta hand it to the Jets, they killed it in the first round with 3 VERY impactful players
Oh man, the Packers just aren’t gonna let Aaron Rodgers have a first round weapon
Never ceases to amaze me how the NFL measures players value based on hand size, arm strength and arm length. Will they never learn about guys like Tom Brady and Joe Montana, even Terrell Davis. Matt Birk was a 6th round pick. Aren’t guys paid to be scouts?

Vikes draft a safety? Didn’t go with biggest need or best available?
interesting choice….
We could have had safety Kyle Hamilton at 12 (he ended up getting picked by Baltimore at 14). Hopefully our new safety does just as well or better.
Vikings are going nowhere. Wild are the only ones that deserve attention and hard earned bucks.
What a smug asshole

Great pick for me. Part of the defensive issues are at safety no matter how much everyone loves Harrison Smith. He’s on the downside of his career and saved his contract by playing well in the second half of last season. This should be a wake up call for the whole roster, good GMs look ahead to replace under performing players with big contracts a year ahead to work the cap with players already on the team.
I look for our new guy to target CB early but also interior OL.
With the new D scheme I’m thinking they take Dean from GA at 34.

How many sports do you think you’re the smartest guy in the room about?
The sweet spot for the draft is from #20-40 for value players and good contracts. Look back at the Patriots in the last 20 years.
Also AZ trading a first rounder for Hollywood Brown is an obvious move to apprease Murray, not gonna work out.

Tom Brady vs. Kirk Cousins

i mean…realistically, those are both low round QBs who made a shitload of money so what’s your point?

Pre-Draft Analysis

Cine is at his best playing center field in singe-high looks thanks to his excellent instincts, long arms and outstanding top-end speed. He's not as effective matching up in man coverage. He picked off just one pass over the past two seasons. Cine fills the alley quickly and rarely misses a tackle in run support. -- Steve Muench

Post-Draft Analysis

The Vikings will eventually have to replace Harrison Smith as the key in the secondary. Now they have their prototypical safety replacement who is made for today's game with a versatile skill set that allows him to play either free or strong alignment. Cine is fast, instinctive, and a big-time hitter. -- Miller
Projected Year 1 impact: Day 1 starter. Cine should step into the starting spot opposite Harrison Smith with Xavier Woods signing with Carolina. -- Muench

If we take Nakobe Dean at 34, I will be pleased as punch. That guy is a beast.
