I only care about the National Team. Hate digging through club soccer BS to find US stuff. So I decided to create this thread for US soccer only.
EDIT: Title updated to include all International (FIFA) soccer. No club or league soccer.

Home or away game? Haven't been following the qualification rounds. Are we in good shape? Too lazy to Google.
Also lazy. Tv channel?
It's on BeIN sports. I know Comcast doesn't carry the channel. Not sure about Dish or DirecTV.
392 on Dish
I almost missed this. Just happen to see it on the bottom feed for the BC/Hav game.

Me as well. I think we should consider ourselves fortunate.
US making this keeper look good. Embarrassing

I really think USMNT is in A LOT of trouble. The old guard is on the way out, and there's virtually nobody promising coming in behind them.
A little better tonight.
Yeah, up 3-0 against Guatemala.
The World Cup dream is still alive. Phew!
This is what happens when you wear a uniform that is made of Red, White and/or Blue!

BTW, Grant Wahl is a great soccer follow on Twitter.
So, the US Olympic team is different than the other US team? Why?
age limit?

Guess that makes sense then. Didn't know if that was the case or not.
Men's Olympic soccer has a rule that you have to be 23 or under.
Oscar worthy performance to get Yellow/Red card called on US u23 team by a Columbian player....
Still the biggest pile of shit is the diving and acting in soccer to get calls.

Although, if memory serves, you can bring 2 or 3 players who are over 23. But yes, it's essentially all the U23 players.
The flopping in this game is beyond embarrassing....

Par for the course when a South American team is involved.
Par for the course in the entire world of soccer....
And they wonder why soccer has not taken hold in the US? Because a potential fan in the US sees this and turns it off right away.

It's definitely a part of the game that I really dislike.

Yes and usually the guys over 23 are not the best players the country has to offer.

The average US fan watches a guy flop around like he has been shot just to get a call and they shake their head in disgust. I still have a lot of trouble accepting it when a player flops. A few years back Klinsmann made the comment that it would be good for the US to be lighter on their feet to get more calls and more free kicks. It was met with a resounding NO from the team. They wanted to be strong and play through tackles. I think the US fans who watch agree wholeheartedly.
Not US but POR-BEL played a friendly in two of the ugliest kits ever, and GER beat ITA for the first time in 21 years? Never would have guessed they'd have such a stretch even against a country that's typically very strong.

Speaking of Germany, I saw on r/soccer yesterday that they have only lost TWICE in World Cup Qualifying. EVER.
2 losses, in like 85 games. That's insane. All the other nations with less than 5 WCQ losses in their history, have only played like 2-8 games total.
Nagbe gets a late winner for USMNT in their pre-Copa America tune up against Ecuador!
Dammit... Gotta post something before the game starts so I don't miss it!

Probably more likely because their national team is garbage and their domestic league is.. you got it.. garbage.
Really?
Games vs Bolivia, Columbia, Costa Rica and Paraguay the next 3 weeks.... That's not too bad. (adding to my cal so I don't miss them)

I just think the play acting is reason #16243 that more Americans don't watch soccer. The MLS is at a low standard (but always getting a little better) and the national team is pretty mediocre without any star players. The Copa America should be fun to watch, but it will will also include players trying to get other players sent off by exaggerating injuries.

Yep. Brace yourselves, the South Americans are coming.

I will say one thing - despite the "mediocre" USMNT the World Cup gets a LOT of run in the U.S. and for 2014 it was everywhere in our office. To the point that people that probably couldn't name more than 1 MLS team were watching the games, were in pools and in general just talking about the tournament.

I've watched a few games as a non-soccer fan and can see why people like it but all the flopping and acting like a sniper took you down when somebody coughed in your direction really makes it hard for me to enjoy it.
I know it's becoming commonplace but it is a huge bummer to see a guy roll around on the ground for 3 minutes after somebody bumped into him with the same force that a grandma bumps into another grandma at the quilt store.

That usually makes it easier to know who is faking it. The more dramatic the rolling around, the less likely anyone is actually hurt.
Some people can't stand the rolling around. Personally I can't stand hours of dead time, tv commercials, and color guys dissecting why farts blow a certain direction at noon at soldier field.

Yeah, once you start watching soccer, it makes most other American sports (football being the worst, obviously) seem almost ridiculous with all the stoppages.
Football is so terrible I actually have trouble watching it sometimes.
Start, stop, commercial, start, stop, start, stop, field goal, commercial, kickoff, commercial, start, stop, start, stop.
