That's my biggest pet peeve about the sport. If soccer across the board would put a stop to it. Soccer would be very enjoyable to watch. Just get tired of all the pussies on the field every time they get bumped or touched. It's like "crying wolf". So many players in the past and current have ruined it. You really have no clue who is hurt and who is not. So in general I put them all I the catergory of faking.

Most of my British friends always ask me what America is on about when it comes to American football. They always tell me it's just a bunch of adverts. They're totally right, it's beyond ridiculous and oftentimes it's quite tedious to watch.

I think the last super bowl had something like 15 minutes of actual gameplay.....

Soccer was my life for years. I struggle watching it sometimes these days. It seems like the histrionics continue to get worse.

Mexico v. Uruguay tonight at 7 on FS1. I'll only catch the first half, as GoT is on at 8, but this should be a pretty good match.

This Jamaica Venezuela game is very good, too. Wide open, lots of offensive chances.

I tend to agree with this sentiment. However, I get much more pissed off watching men's soccer teams that dive all over like a bunch of pansies than I do watching commercials. I really like soccer, but the amount of ridiculous diving in the men's game in basically every country other than the US has completely ruined it for me. Women's soccer is much more entertaining to me because they actually play the game, rather than just roll around on the ground faking injuries and such for 70 of the 94(ish) minutes.

I think you're exaggerating the amount of diving. Yes it's annoying as hell and somewhat pervasive, but not nearly intrusive enough to make me turn away from games involving international teams and leagues.

I've been enjoying the Copa tournament so far, but I'm very excited for Euro starting on Friday. The world cup is always so much fun, but the Euro cup seems to have an edge to it.
