As was I. My “Norm Still Sucks” sign even appeared as a square in Terrance Fogerty’s painting of that game.
I was at the last North Stars game and the first Wild game.
Fittingly my “Norm Sucks” sign at one of the last North Stars games also made it into Sports Illustrated. I guess it came full circle.
I think I might still have that SI photo somewhere. I thought it was cool that it made a national mag, and I could say "Hey, I know who that guy is!" I couldn't make it to the last NS home game, made it to the second to last one, though.
Fittingly, the last NS game I did have on VHS tape, paired with the Cheers series finale. The ends of two legendary eras.

I couldn't make it to the last NS home game, made it to the second to last one, though.
I was at the second to last home game also. I believe it ended up being their final win, as they lost the last few games of the season after that. I remember it was a Saturday, because I skipped my senior prom for it. Not that I would have had a date anyway.

I wondered that too, but it’s better than their Ronald McDonald colors imho. That would have looked pretty gaudy next to the lemon-limers.

I hated seeing the Gophers basketball play in black uniforms against the skunks last week. Gopher basketball has great uniforms (at least they do when wearing gold at home). These black and white uniforms are awful.
But as Handyman has said in the past (and I agree) whatever attract recruits is better than my opinion. If the basketball recruits like the white and reddish floor with white, uniforms......I'll have to deal with my anger.
I draw a line with hockey uniforms however.
