I kinda like these 8pm starts when on vacation out east.
Flied out Tuesday, the hockey game started at 7 Central. Though I missed part of the 3rd with landing and trying to get an Uber cause the rental company messed up.
Last night tip off was 8 Eastern and even though I turned it off and missed the comeback, it was still nice.
Tonight, puck drop is again 8 Eastern. Gives me plenty of time to get back to the hotel.
Though, if I had to choose… Central is probably the best time for watching sports on the big networks.
William Karlsson out for Game 6 and I’ll bet for Game 7 if needed. The discomfort he was in and the way the trainer was handling him. I’ll bet it’s a broken collarbone or dislocated shoulder.

Whoa, that's one hell of an addition to a team that is already scary to play against. Florida will have a scary top nine when healthy, plus they will get Barkov back next year.
I think you are starting to see more teams recognize the value of a sure thing vs draft picks, especially if you are in a 'destination' city like Vegas, Miami, or Tampa. They understand they can always get free agents to want to play there because of low tax, nice weather, so they have very little worry when trading lottery tickets. Not sure Winnipeg could do that, but it seems to be a winning strategy.

this works well right now while the cap is in huge limbo so you can pay for FAs (like the cap is up almost 20% in the last 2 years). The floor is now basically where the cap was in 19-20 (and in 05-06 the cap was about 40mil vs to 104mil now).
Players that are clearly not as good as Kirill are already turning down contract offers that are close to the amount Kirill got and his 8 year contract hasn't even started yet.
