I am happy for Casey Mittelstadt that he actually gets into the playoffs after all of those years in Buffalo. I also wonder what is up with Nate Schmidt? He was scratched a bunch of games late in the year as well as games 1 & 2. Will he get bought out after the year as he is making almost 6 million for another year.

Those pre-game/post-game (and everything in between) shows are all a cliche. The formula is to have at least one "personality" on the show who has a big mouth and is generally annoying. Pretty much across the board in all sports.

agreed. I like Biz and think he's at his best when he plays into that he's an idiot and a huge homer. That crew is vastly better than listening to Bucci and PK who say literally nothing insightful ever (there's a reason their intermissions are mostly commercials). The NHL has to try do something to grow the game and some of the loud personalities help it (hell it was a huge reason people kept watching Don Cherry for so long until he went completely off the deep end).
Agree to a point… someone like Meatsause plays a role. He plays the role of an idiot and does it well. Parrish plays the role of knowing nothing about basketball. Though someone like Gronk is an idiot 24/7. Me personally, think both Anson Carter and Bissonnete are ego maniacs. Though I’ll take Carter over Bissonnete any day.

I understand what you mean and I recognize it is an acquired taste. I just generally don't care for shtick in my sports viewing habits. I have grown to loathe a lot of Sports TV "entertainment" outside of the actual games themselves.
I'd rather watch shows like Kiana's Flex Appeal or Bodyshaping with Corey Everson than watch Stephen A Smith and other blowhards. 😎
