Heard the last bit of the Peterson story on the fan as well. Part of me feels sorry for these athletes and part of me doesn’t. It’s easy to say from the outside if you were handed millions of dollars you would invest and spend it wisely. Though in the same breath the way these athletes spend money is moronic.

Certainly, it's possible to question the behavior of someone intent on destroying themselves and empathize with them in the end. Hell, I have friends and family like that.

Mickey Mantle asked Roy Clark to sing "Yesterday When I Was Young" at his funeral (which he did). Old Mick was one of those guys who lived life hard and later understood his youthful failings. He felt that the lyrics to Clark's song were about him.

One of these days Tua won’t be able to have the little intercom speaker in his helmet because the sound waves might cause a concussion.

Um yeah, I forget you may not get the latest news...he's a POS. Through and through. I will say, he may have learned, but hasn't proven it so far.

Agree... the guy is a blowhard clown. I saw a news clip and his clown-ess behaviors about the officer has to go, all the while he's still playing football after chocking his pregnant gf. It drives me nuts how parts of society gives passes to athletes and not us normal folks, especially police officers.

It looked like a routine hit. It was a tough hit, but nothing out of the norm. It's crazy how player can get his head knocked off and no concussion and a routine hit and his brain is rung into a concussion. Though Tua should've had the wits knowing he had the 1st down and just slid.

You don't have to hit your head to get a concussion. All you have to do is jar your brain. Think: hard tackle, body check, etc. As soon as he was hit, many on Tweeter (including me) knew right away he had no clue where he was. He really needs to think about his career.

It was announced today that he is out for the next game, no matter what, even though it's over a week away.

Looked like it wasn’t the impact with Hamlin but when he was turned around and went to the ground the back of his head slammed off the turf…again. I think that’s the third time he got a concussion from impacting the ground, I’ve never seen that many from one player. Seems like they should have gotten him one of those shouldler pad things that sticks up behind your head. I can remember guys wearing those in the 80s. And you would think if anyone should have been wearing those new goofy looking helmet pad hat things it would be him.

Let’s not forget that the more you have the easier it is to get another. Forget the career, he needs to think about his life.

Both excellent points.  Concussions are very much a "Once you get one, the second is easier to get.  Then if you've had two, the third is even easier, etc" situation.  For his own health, I hope he gives serious consideration to an unfortunately early retirement.

I really respect the hell out of Brad Radke for calling it earlier than some thought he would. His shoulder had gotten to the point he could barely wash his hair, let alone pick up his kid. Your brain is hell of a lot more important than a shoulder.

I think he's had four in his football career (1 college, 3 NFL). He even took classes in the offseason in some sort of martial arts to learn how to fall better. Well, didn't quite work on this fall.

I feel sorry for the guy, but too many reasons to retire vs playing.

There have been 1800+ occurrences since 1950 of an NFL QB having 5+ starts vs. a single opponent (including playoffs). The only QB over that time frame to have an .850+ W% and account for 3+ touchdowns per game vs. any opponent is Josh Allen against the Dolphins. That’s it.

Baltimore playing at home scored a TD with 12 minutes left to go up 23-13 on the Gardner Minshew let Las Vegas Raiders.

The Raiders win 26-23 with three scoring drives in a row (FG, TD, FG) gaining 157 yards on 22 plays over the three drives.

Did safety Kyle Hamilton get torched in the middle of the field like he did by Travis Kelce (11 catches, 116 yards, 1 TD in the AFC Championship game last season?

The Raiders rookie TE Brock Bowers had 9 catches for 98 yards.

The Panthers are so bad. I think I saw that in their previous 9 games (before today) they scored a grand total of 28 first half points. They scored 0 first half points today, and 3 points total.

Setting up McCarthy to get fired, so Jerry Jones gets Zimm as head coach, if one believes the rumors....

Zimmer is getting better at stopping Alvin Kamara he only scored 4 TDs (3 rushing, 1 receiving) against him this time. 😏

Zimmer is going to have nightmares about him.

Bears finally get an offensive TD just shy of 90 minutes into the season.

Kickers are 33 of 37 on 50+ yard FGs this season. That is REALLY impressive!!!

It might be time to make field goals more difficult.

Defensives get stops at their 40 yard line and then kickers make 58 yard field goals look routine.

With the new touch back rule on kickoffs where you get it at the 30 yard line offenses only need to move the ball 30 yards.

I wonder if the league at some point in the near future might look at making the cross bar higher and/or making the up rights closer together. The goal posts have been changed before.

Just thinking out loud.

Put a big bullseye in the end zone. Three colors. Bullseye = 3 pts, second ring = 2 points, outer ring = 1 pt. For XPs, kick from the 35ish (open to discussion) and have it work the same way.

I like when somebody is on their own 53 yard line. 🤨 20 yard end zones with the goals posts at the back line of the end zone would certainly make field goals more difficult. The Canadians maybe on to something with large end zones. 🤔 😀

Houshmandzadeh was a good one too. My favorite will likely always be D’Brickashaw Ferguson, though.

If Houston kicker Fairbairn keeps hitting 50+ yard FGs I might pull out a Fantasy Football game. Somebody dropped him earlier this week so I picked him up. I need to become assistant to Kwessi for player pick ups. 😉

Hopefully when I apply for the position Kwessi doesn't find out last year I dropped the Miami kicker Sanders, my playoff opponent picked him up, and eliminated me because Sanders kicked 5 FGs including three 50+ yard FGs.

You can't beat Kirk Cousins in Prime Time!!!! 😀

Captain Clutch leads Atlanta on a 6 play, 70 yard TD drive in 1 minute and 5 seconds throwing the game winning TD with 34 seconds left to beat the Eagles in Philadelphia 22-21
