My wife and I drove down to the Hastings area yesterday and I was shocked at how many people would fly by me and change lanes abruptly, weaving in and out of cars.  I generally drive 9-10 over on the freeway and I felt like I was parked at times.  At one time I guessed I had 8 cars pass me doing 90-100+.

Sad to see this was the type of driving that killed Khyree and his buddies.  I hope the driver of the infinity losses every nickel to these families and spends many years in prison.

Awful.

My engineering job involves redesigning roads to hopefully make them safer but unfortunately there is only so much we can do. A lot comes down to driver choices. Anybody who speeds is putting extra risk on themselves and others.

Is getting some where faster ever worth the possibility of killing yourself or somebody else?

I wish ALL of us kept this question in our minds ever time we are driving.

People are willing to tailgate for hours to move up 2 car lengths.  When the highway is full of cars you’re not going make up any time by being the pushy a hole, so just chilax.

It may be time to get a dash cam.

This new NFL kickoff rule is convoluted & unappealing IMO. Just do regular kickoffs from the 30. You can’t fundamentally change the way football at the highest level is played & have every other level play the traditional way. Moving the kick off spot up to the 35 yard line so most kickoffs were touch backs (in an attempt to avoid collisions) was pure stupidity too! I hate seeing players getting injured…but kick returns are part of the game. Next thing U know they’ll be changing punt returns too.

I've watched much of the preseason and I still don't understand the rule.  If you kick it into the endzone it comes out to some ridiculous spot, if you fair catch it goes somewhere else, if you tilt your head wrong before the ball is touched it's a flag...

I'm sure we'll all get used to it.

it’s meaningless pre-season 🏈 Vikings blew out Eagles today at Philly…which amounts to Jack Squat. That said, Old School Charger Uniforms are the absolute shiz…best in NFL!

So the Christmas games will be exclusively on Netflix. The Thursday games are on Amazon. There are games on Peacock and there is a Monday night game only on ESPN+.

I guess I'm old school and think the "national" games should be available on free TV and not have to pay to watch Thursday Night or Christmas Day football. These sports leagues are making it difficult for the fans to follow their league and my interest in sports is starting to decrease year as they continue to have their games on multiple streaming platforms.

I hear ya, I don’t see how it’s gonna get better. Needing “prime” for Thursday night football kinda opened the can right there and when the chiefs and dolphins big game was only available on peacock I thought here we go. Roger Goodell will beg to differ from the not able to watch theory. He thinks just the opposite, more coverage, more exposure, more nfl access into your household which is true, but he’s leaving out the fine print about having to buy it. In his interview on draft night he talked about this and he couldn’t be more excited about the way the nfl is growing just like it is. He drools dollar signs and speaks like he’s running for president over this. The NFL is so popular now it’s got fans where it wants them, you wanna watch so bad you’ll pay whatever it takes. Some do, it’s like everything else, priorities decide. To me I think it’s sad that it’s become a “pay to play” thing for football now. This rabbit isn’t chasing the dangling carrot.

I know this is super late to reply BUT last season the Thursday night games were also streamed on Twitch.tv on the Prime channel (Amazon owns Twitch) and I'm fairly certain you don't need Prime to watch on Twitch.

Caleb Williams is getting way too much credit in the Bears game. He did dinky-doo in the win. It was Chicago’s defense that saved the Bears offense.

I thought the NFL changed their OT rules so that both teams get the balla at least 1 time each no matter what? I guess not.

I saw a lot of people breaking down the Falcons play calling today noting that Cousins was in shotgun for every passing play and every running play was pistol formation. Pistol is important because the RB is behind the QB and can get a running start while the QB just has to turn to hand it off. Essentially Cousins was immobile the entire game. His Achilles must not be healed as much as he lead on.

It's not like he was a mobile QB to begin with. He's not quite as bad as The Statue Drew Bledsoe, but he's not a runner.

I won’t try to speak for theRube, but Tyreek has a fairly long record of domestic violence accusations.  He allegedly don’t play well with women or children.

This is where I'm forming my opinion.

In THIS instance, do what the officer tells you to do, not escalate the situation, and guess what? The situation will sort itself out. Especially the amount of video taken of this incident.

Peterson sounds like a complete moron.

Pissed all his money away faster than it came in.  And on dum shit from what I can tell.  I read he threw himself a birthday party in TX every year and one year he rode in on a camel.

One of the best NFL running backs ever and he’s penniless before he retires.

Watch "Broke" the 30 For 30 episode.
Many players lose money on investments and trusting the wrong people. KFAN was breaking down AP's thing today, and he took out a loan, and as main investor, he was on the hook. Therefore, he's the one that pays. It's not all hookers and blow. It's real estate, or a restaurant, or stocks, or a venture business, etc.

Heard the last bit of the Peterson story on the fan as well. Part of me feels sorry for these athletes and part of me doesn’t. It’s easy to say from the outside if you were handed millions of dollars you would invest and spend it wisely. Though in the same breath the way these athletes spend money is moronic.

Certainly, it's possible to question the behavior of someone intent on destroying themselves and empathize with them in the end. Hell, I have friends and family like that.

Mickey Mantle asked Roy Clark to sing "Yesterday When I Was Young" at his funeral (which he did). Old Mick was one of those guys who lived life hard and later understood his youthful failings. He felt that the lyrics to Clark's song were about him.
