Theilen slots in immediately as their #1 WR so prolly a good spot for him.
Yeah but it proves how awful they are. He is not a #1 but good for him.
When you tell somebody somethin', it depends on what part of the United States you're standin' in... as to just how dumb you are.

If he stayed with the Vikings, he would probably be the third WR behind Osborn and fourth receiving option with Hockenson in there. Panthers way overpaid for an aging receiver.
That org is completely lost so it sounds about right.
He was clearly impressed by Mr. Love ?
Jets GM Joe Douglas told WFAM Sports Radio the team has a trade in place for Packers QB Aaron Rodgers.
"He's going to be here," Douglas told WFAM's Boomer Esiason. The latest rumors have the Jets waiting until Day 2 of the draft to trade for Rodgers, with the Packers receiving a second-round pick and 2024 second rounder. Rodgers will count $16 million against the cap this year if traded to the Jets and $32 million in 2024.
Hmmm...lets see, who would I take if given the choice?
Aloha!
In 5 years football will be 1 on 1 because the entire cap will be eaten by the QB.
Aloha!
The guy is 40 (will be this season) so they were gonna have to move on eventually no matter what. Not a bad haul, what management actually does with the picks might be a diff story ?

Gerby of course thinks the Packers “fleeced” the Jets

In multiple places I’ve seen this referred to as a ‘blockbuster’ trade. How big of deal is a one player trade for a past his prime 40 year old QB?
Jets gave up too much. Trading a 2 for him is fine. I don’t know about the second 2 and if he plays enough to turn it into a 1 next year that’s a lot.
A 40 year old QB with 2-3 seasons left is not worth multiple 2nd round (with potential to be a 1st) picks. And that swap for 13 and 15 is just weird, but whatever. That’s an easy give by the Jets.
This age of QB chasing is nuts.
Well yeah that’s to be expected, he’s a very influential owner ?The guy is 40 (will be this season) so they were gonna have to move on eventually no matter what. Not a bad haul, what management actually does with the picks might be a diff story ?

Some Jets fans seemed to think they wouldn’t be giving up a first or second and thought they’d do the fleecing haha. I guess technically the first is conditional but it’d be pretty crazy if he didn’t take 65% of the snaps.

He's not entirely wrong, IMO.
Except in Gerbys head Erin was still a Pro Bowler until he’s playing for the Jets
Gerby is a fictional character.
it’ll be interesting to see if he has a much improved year or still struggles. I don’t think the Packers gave him much to work with at receiver until Watson finally got healthy and that took over half the year (some of the other rookies improved by then too). Some valid questions about whether Hackett is the right OC after last year in Denver too.

GB had no leverage. I wouldn't have given up a 1st rounder for him, unless (if it is allowed) GB ate a chunk of that salary.

“The Packers now must absorb $40.3 million in dead money on their salary cap. Because his bonus money is prorated, Rodgers won't cripple the Jets' cap. He will count $15.8 million in 2023 and $32.5 million in 2024, cap-friendly for a player of his stature.”
I guess this would be a good part of the trade for the Jets

I don't think I would have either.
The pick swap is meh, they went from 13 to 15, they'll still be able to get a really good player. But next season's pick most likely becoming a first rounder is going to be rough for them. Especially if he plays all the snaps and the team still sucks because that would be another top half of the draft where they could be getting a future QB.
I hope the Jets suck. That guy seriously needs an ego check.
Aloha!
Draft day! For some reason I’m excited about it this year.
Staying with the Ravens.
I'm 50% factual and 50% sarcastic. When you get to know me, you will know which is which.
HAHAAHAHAHAHA.....whew.....HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH! ?
Houston is in it to win it. Pick #2 and trade for pick #3.
Philly trades up from 10 to 9 with Bears??
Eagles get the best defensive player in the draft at 9. The rich get richer.
They also were in the Super Bowl and still had a top 10 pick plus a 2nd pick.
But it’s still weird to me they moved up 1 spot. You only do that if you’re convinced the team ahead of you wants your guy. Bears move from 9 to 10 and get an extra 4th rounder next year out of it.
Easy decision for them. They desperately need both DL and OL, you have your name for both and talk whichever is left when Philly takes one of them.

Not just the team holding that pick but they prevented another team from moving up to get a stud d lineman. They now have easily the deepest defensive line in the league.
So WAS passes on Levis and Hooker and Sam Powell will be their starter next year, wild
As we get closer to the Vikings pick Levis and Hooker are still available. Will the Vikings take a QB in the first round if one or both are available when they are on the clock?
No WR has been picked yet.
So Levis and Hooker may be available when the Vikings pick…hmmmm
SEA takes a WR for some reason. The Chargers and BAL aren’t taking a QB so the Vikings have their choice of Levis or Hooker. If MIN doesn’t take Levis this could get ugly for him.
With both the Seahawks and Chargers taking WRs that would seem to lead the Vikings to QB or defense.
If they still want a WR it would likely be WR Zay Flowers (Boston College) but the Ravens might take him.
I think the Vikings trading back is a definite possibility.
The WR run is underway.
4 WRs picked in a row!!! Jordan Addison USC is Adam T's replacement.
Booger likes the pick so…
I think the Vikings trading back is a definite possibility.
As much as I hated how much Spielman traded back I think we should have traded back given the situation. There’s a bunch of players we need that are available. Not having a second round pick is killing us.
