My brother lives in Seattle, they’re shooting off fireworks in his neighborhood
I lived in Seattle when they won the SB...I hate that fanbase almost as much as GB fans.
MN plays the later afternoon game on Sun, Bills play at noon. Perfect.
LTD for the day?!?!?!
The noon game for sure. Prob high-tailing it home between games.

Rodgers will be in Miami or Vegas. Wherever Brady doesn’t go.
So he could end up at Gisele's house?

That would be so effing epic.
As far as gator's post, sure...but BUF wins that matchup. 😉

Gisele isn't going out with that whiny ego maniac...too big a loser 😉
Even if TB beats Dallas next year everyone will sober Dak and pretend they after the favorites.
As far as NFC playoffs:
TB, NYG, Sea have no business being there.
DAL is Jeckyll/Hyde, don't know what to think of them.
MN is good, but not great.
PHI, with Hurts, is legit.
SF is downright scary.

The fact only one of these guys got ejected for this (and Reed didn't even get flagged for that BS hit on Swift) is incredible to me. I said in the Vikings thread last week the Packers defense was getting away with a lot of extra stuff, they got away with 3 more things here. At least the referees had the stones to eject Walker. On this week, of ALL weeks, to shove a trainer? SMH

Can you repeat the part...
I hate posting from my phone...
"slobber Dak" "pretend they are the favorites".

The most pampered team in the league.
And Packer fans are blinded to it. Hands down the most pampered team in the NFL. And as a Gopher Hockey fan, I can say this. I know we get pampered and get the calls, just for being the Gophers. Though Packer fans won't admit it cause they are blinded to facts. Just like UND, another fan base blinded to the facts they get call cause of who they are.

We get calls?
In my opinion yes. I may rip on the strips A LOT. Though I also know we do get calls.

You think the refs favor us?
I do think we get the benefit of the calls at times and maybe that just comes with the territory.

I guess I disagree. If anything I'd say it's neutral at best.
Just my opinion after following Gopher Hockey for nearly 30 years. Though I would agree it's closer to being neutral now days than the late 90s and early 2000s when I started watch Gopher Hockey.

The Gopher program hasn't been a chippy team since the Herb Brooks 70s. If anything, one could make a reasonable argument that they're too soft.
This team is lightning quick. Many calls in hockey get down to impeding the progress of a player. Minnesota doesn't need to commit these infractions; more often, their opponent does. It's unsurprising to me that Minnesota ranks very low in committed penalties.
What hurts them is when the refs swallow their whistles on the hooking and holding. Yesterday it felt like SCSU was constantly walking that line, but instead Minnesota was the team getting whistled.

I've always use the illustration of the Gophers are a fancy sports car in a mall parking lot. You are going to park in a safe parking spot. Other programs are like a 30 yr old rusty pickup... you don't care where you park.

SEA @ SF (-10): SF will cover. Even though I jokingly have SEA going to the NFC Championship vs. the Vikings.
LAC @ JAX (+1): LAC to cover on the road at JAX.
MIA @ BUF (-10.5): BUF will cover. MIA has no QB.
NYG @ MIN (-3): Vikings will cover. Vikings by 13.
BAL @ CIN (-6.5): CIN will cover vs. their Division rival for a second straight week.
DAL @ TB (+3): TB to win. Though this one surprises me. Thought DAL would be more -6.5 @ TB.

I also thought Dallas would be a bigger favorite. I will be interested to see if that line inflates over the week.
After the firings yesterday and today, here are the current openings.
Current NFL head coach openings
- Cardinals (fired Kliff Kingsbury on Jan. 9)
- Texans (fired Lovie Smith on Jan. 8)
- Broncos (fired Nathaniel Hackett on Dec. 26)
- Colts (fired Frank Reich on Nov. 7)
- Panthers (fired Matt Rhule on Oct. 10)
I'm 50% factual and 50% sarcastic. When you get to know me, you will know which is which.

I don't think Vegas much trusts Dallas...and they shouldn't. Dak is 1-3 in the playoffs and they are a WC team on the road at Tampa Bay with Brady.
Arizona is a dumpster fire. First they hired Kingsbury who had no business getting the job and then they not only draft but then extend Kyler Murray who has a lot of raw skill but it is quite obvious has no brain for the game. That team will never make a serious run.
Hamlin is out of the hospital in Cincy, moved to one in Buffalo: https://www.cnn.com/2023/01/09/sport/buffalo-bills-damar-hamlin-recovery-monday-spt/index.html
B1G refs... corrupt, or just incompetent?
And better news, he's discharged from the hospital: https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/35425908/bills-damar-hamlin-discharged-buffalo-hospital

I just went down a Jamaal Williams rabbit hole. I friggin love this guy.
For the calendar year 2022, 88 of the top 100 highest viewership broadcasts on TV were NFL games.
Charles White passes away
Aloha!
The Power Trip morning show guys are pretty confident the Hamlin will lead the Bills out of their locker room and onto the field on Saturday night. The o/u opened at BUF -10.5, it's now at -13 and will probably climb more. Miami is starting their 3rd string QB and this game is going to be the best slaughter of the weekend. Even a bigger slaughter than San Fran. over Seattle. Seattle has a chance, Miami has no chance.

With Carr leaving the Raiders, what are the chances Rodgers leaves GB to join Adams in Vegas? Rodgers then can smoke all the weed he wants

Detroit and Indy must have other events going on, cause both cities are more centrally located than Atlanta.

If Brady turns down Vegas, it'll be Rodgers up next.
Plus, since the Vikings have Vegas on their sch. I assume so does Green Bay. Just don't know with Green Bay hosts Vegas or goes to Vegas.

Indy passed on it last week. Conventions I think. Not sure about Detroit.

GB goes to Vegas
Or it could be the NFL doesn't care about a city being more centrally located. If I were a Bill or Chiefs fan that considered travelling I'd be MUCH more likely to fly to ATL than Indy or Detroit. Could you imagine having to go to Detroit? LOL. And Indy is no better.Detroit and Indy must have other events going on, cause both cities are more centrally located than Atlanta.

Buffalo already played a home game in Detroit this year.

Sure. I think Buffalo was scheduled to play in Detroit the following week, so the team/fans could just stay for a week and play two games. I don't know if they did that.Or it could be the NFL doesn't care about a city being more centrally located. Ward for SF with a next level dumb penalty to cost his team 3 points and the lead at the half.
Lawrence completes a pass (to one of his teammates) for a TD!
