Interested roughing the passer call in the MNF game. Jones tackles Carr from behind, the ball immediately comes loose and Jones grabs it as they are falling down and Jones lands hard on top of Carr. They call roughing on Jones for falling on the QB with his full weight even though Jones has possession of the ball. Seems like a common sense call of a fumble but of course the Raiders retain possession and Chiefs get penalized. Dumb.

As I remember he had something like 15 concussions in his career, I’m surprised he can put together a complete sentence. I remember him getting pounded pretty good over his career. When he played there was really no special rules to protect the QB.

No it literally makes zero sense, there was four mins left and you’re prob not gonna win by one anyhow if you give the Chiefs the ball back. If you tie and they hit a FG you could maybe have a chance to tie again (vs going down 4). Going for 2 with zero seconds on the clock for the win is a diff story, you take destiny into your own hands. That scenario not so much.

Raiders had nothing to lose, really. They are not a good team. Traditional thinking, aka the "safe route" is falling out of favor more and more, with this new era of coaching, and I like it.

The 2 score game thing sorta makes sense, puts the game completely out of reach due to the clock and worst case it’s a 7 point game, a lead anyone would be happy with. That one at least makes some sense but if they went “conservative” and had an 8 point lead I wouldn’t bat an eyelash at the decision.

I am not sure where I fall on this but I definitely thought it was a tough decision for KC. My gut says the analytics tell you to go for it and go up 9.
