Yeah next week could be ugly
It was hot and humid today at the Gopher game why was Fleck wearing a sweater for the complete game?
He always wears a 3/4 zip, 100 degrees or -20.
Going to be a long night
Comical start
Less than 2 minutes before the first stupid penalty
Run for the first down wtf. Athan is a wreck
Why is Jim Harbough trying so hard to look like Woody Hayes?

Refs let Michigan get away with roughing the kicker on a Gopher punt and Michigan busts a 40 yard run immediately
Would be nice if this exposure on NBC helped us net a decent transfer QB for next season

Looked like acting
24-3 now. Gophers offense has 0 chance against Michigan defensively.
What happened to Athan this season? He is brutal
I think Michigan is just that good. It’s a huge gap between them and the rest.
Athan isn’t getting any protection. That is making it hard. MI is living in our backfield.
Down by 21. Not. Even. Trying.
PJ spitting in the face of the fans that showed up and spent money.
When you have an explosive offense like the Gophers you don't want to score too soon so you run the clock down and then throw a TD pass with 6 seconds left to leave no time for Michigan. ? ?
Great throw by Athan and great route by Jackson and the Gophers cut it to 24-10 before halftime. Hopefully the defense figures out a way to stop Michigan at halftime.
Athan gets too many passes swatted down at the line. Had Crooms running free down the middle on 2nd down but Michigan DE shoves a TE back into his lap and swats the ball down. Could have been a big play.
I think that’s a reflection of no pocket protection. Everything including in and it’s easier to get a hand on the ball.
Athan is getting pummeled. Our OL continues to bleed MI blue right into him.
Athan throws another pick 6. Safety read it the whole way and stepped right in front of the route.
I'm going to flip over the Pulp Fiction, less violent. ?

Yeah, Michigan is terrific, but this is pathetic. Struggle with Nebraska and Louisiana, lose to Northwestern and now this debacle on national TV in prime time. At least this nightmare is half over after tonight.
I switched it to Notre Shsme/Louisville after the bs roughing the passer Michigan TD. The TD was legit. The roughing the passer was bs.
Keep your stick on the ice...
Did we have any coach surfing following the cliffhanger tonight?
Well that was pathetic. Michigan is that much better and we are that much worse in every position except maybe place kicker. PJ better be looking for another QB for next year because Athan ain’t it.
Anyone using this game to measure anything is insane. Michigan may be the best team to ever visit TCF. This isn't representative of anything.

Aithan was fine. He went against a leviathan and sucked. You can't measure anything against a team like this. He'll be fine as he grows into the position.
QB is NOT the problem we have on offense.
He threw a pick six 10 seconds into the game lol. That game was embarrassing all around and if it wasn’t for the fact that my buddy bought a ticket I would’ve never attended in a million years.
This program is certainly at the low point of the PJ era and hopefully he can right the ship in terms of recruiting.
In all fairness Northwestern did beat Howard by three so they are a very strong team.Yeah, Michigan is terrific, but this is pathetic. Struggle with Nebraska and Louisiana, lose to Northwestern and now this debacle on national TV in prime time. At least this nightmare is half over after tonight.
The O/U is 32.5 for Saturday's game...that might be generous IMO. Iowa has a defense and special teams and one play on offense per game that works just once. I haven't paid any attention to what Minnesota has for a team this season so I do not know what to expect in this game other than a horrible Iowa offense.

Am I correct that the last time the Gophers won in Iowa City was 1999?

Correct... I was there for it!!! Kennick was half filled at best and there was probably more Gopher fans than Iowa students. Security stopped me at the gate and wouldn't let me bring in a bowling ball that I wrote on "The Gophers are going Bowling". It was Ferentz first year.

To me, the game comes down to Darius Taylor. If he plays, I like the Gophers odds of being able to score a TD or two against Iowa (which may be all that is needed against the Iowa offense, especially the Iowa offense missing it's best two TEs).
If Taylor does not play, the Gophers offense is going to have to have made some significant adjustments from what we have seen so far because Iowa's defense seems to be pretty legitimate as usual.
I'd like to see the OCs start utilizing the RPO better but Kaliakmanis's throwing motion is still long enough that it allows CBs/LBs/DLs to get their hands up and swat the ball or jump the route. Seems to me like he needs to shorten that motion down to become more effective in the quick hitting passing game.
Here is my prognostication of this game. If Iowa scores at least one TD on offense and gets at least 150 yards rushing I give them the win. I'm not concerned with Minnesota's rushing game even if Taylor plays, he could run 150 yards and not get a TD because that is how Parker's defense works. It's frustrating as a fan to watch the bend don't break defense but the defense keeps points off the board.
I honestly see this game as a 13-10 game much like last year.

Hopefully the Gophers will be the heros.
Gophers Can Save the Nation from Iowa Being in College Football Playoff
That sound bite from Lucy on The Dan Lebatard Show is making the rounds with Iowa fans. The sound bite is dumb and so is her take. No way does Iowa make the CFP if they go 11-1. They aren't even the second best team in the B1G...they may be the fifth best team at best. If the playoff committee puts a 11-1 Iowa in the CFP the whole CFP system should be burned to the ground.

I think I want this victory more than one against Wisconsin.. It has been too long. Interstellar was still in theaters the last time we won.

If Iowa goes 11-1 they'd play for a Big Ten championship game. If they win that game against what would almost certainly be a top 3 CFP team (either PSU, Michigan, or OSU) it would be a solid resume to be in the CFP, IMO. Regardless of how bad their offense is, a conference champ that beat a top 3 CFP team and only lost to another top 6-10 CFP team? I'd expect them to have a shot at getting in, tbh
Some good discussion here about Gopher football in general:

Morning line on the game is 30.5 O/U and the Hawks at +3.5...just embarrassing really. If either team scores two touchdowns that will be the winner. My prediction is 13-6 Iowa.

Gophers offense has looked weak even against below average defenses. I don’t see them crossing Iowa’s 30 yard line unless the Stinkeyes fumble.
0-17

yeah, no Big Ten champ at 12-1 misses the CFP. It's just not possible in the current makeup unless somehow there are four SEC, B12 teams at either undefeated or with one loss to the conference champs.
Lmao. What are these Iowa jerseys?
