I wonder if Wood is reconsidering at this point...
In all seriousness, three late adds (Gruba/Pahlsson/Falloon) are really taking this class to the next level. We all love our August 1st junior commits but keeping slots open late working well for Motzko and staff.
Can anyone tell me if it’s odd that we haven’t seen Gopher Instagram or Twitter confirm Wood coming here?
Unless I missed that.

Bit unusual, though maybe they are not really tracking the Transfer Portal. Enough connected sources have reported to know it is a done deal.
A lot of programs don't announce their transfers until deep into the summer.
Players need to sign their financial aid/financial tender documents before anything can be announced. Some schools take that seriously like Minnesota.

Will this year's FAFSA delays cause any issues with the LOI process?

The NLI is a different deal and won't have an impact. The only issue is if a player doesn't do the NLI and is a walk-on relying on an aid award for school. Those guys are always late to be official anyway though.
Over at the rink in Plymouth for Selects (or “HP” as it’s called now). Mostly for the girls side of things, but I see Gavin Katz is playing for the Section 1A/1AA Boys 17 team. They play at 3:45 today. Anxious to get a look at him.
So how did he look?

Anything less than predicted four-time Hobey Baker winner will be a disappointment.

Mooney 1G 3A 😳
Ziemer 1A

I watched one full game and half of another one. He shows the hands, vision and skating as advertised, it’s just that I was expecting (hoping) for a little more. He didn’t really jump out above the crowd. Definitely an interesting player and the sample size was pretty small.

World U18 Championship kicks off this week. Team USA with John Whipple, Brodie Ziemer and L. J. Mooney. All USA games on NHL Network.

TEAM ROSTER (it’s the NTDP team plus two “ringers”)
Nice goal from Whipple. Ziemer with 3 assists. He’s a real play driver for that NTDP team. Maybe doesn’t get the credit he deserves.

If Ziemer gets a little bigger he should be a real nice NCAA player.

A) he’s 5’11 so it’s not like he’s even that short
B) I think he’ll be a real nice NCAA player regardless
U.S. vs. Norway face off at 9:30 a.m. on USA Network.
Looks like NHL network, not USA network. USA network has Premier League soccer.
I could have sworn that I typed NHL. I’d blame old age, but I’ve been a bit of an idiot pretty much the entire run.
If I’m being corrected by someone named @idontknow, I really don’t have a 🤬 clue.

In this episode we find out one of Mooney's nicknames is "little".

The Gophers should have taken a run at this Eisermann kid. He is pretty good. 😉
