Ziemer with a goal. U17’s playing to keep their season alive.
I would have to go with Kessel.
I would have to go with Kessel.
We still refer to the gas station in Ironwood MI where we were when we heard he committed, “Kessel Memorial gas station”. ?
I wanna say it's either Kessel or Vanek.

His dad (Tom Nevers) didn’t quite make the big leagues, but was a great two sport athlete.

I was bummed out when he chose baseball over hockey, but certainly understood why he did.

Me too, Tom had some of the best hands I’ve ever seen.

Yep. I played baseball against him my senior year (his junior year). I believe he was Edina's starting shortstop that day.
Hendrickson with the primary assist on the 3rd USA goal.

Eiserman peaked too soon. Don’t want him here anymore.
(yes that is sarcasm)
Gopher recruit. Hopefully a good sign. Our goaltending recruitment is such a question mark for me under Motzko.

Is it though? He’s 2 for 2 with Close and LaFontaine.

Okay…
He had a good backup that turned into a starter, which wasn’t the case for some of those Lucia years (Nick Lehr lmao). Also think Barto looked really good against Michigan and think he’d prob be fine as a starter, though the sample is small. Can’t say he’s really missed yet other than maybe not letting Close start more when Laffer was bad in year 5.
I know Bob's bugaboo at St. Cloud was always goaltending. While circumstances have been a bit unusual, he has had a good run of goalies here.

Doesn't that sort of prove the point though. He had 2 goalies who were better than the goalie who just backstopped two runs to the Frozen Four. (and who was 5 minutes away from a title)
If that is iffy goaltending recruiting then...well I will take it.
(I know you didnt say that jwg did just using your post to help prove the point)
He had a lot of good goalies there actually, there were some bad years though.I know Bob's bugaboo at St. Cloud was always goaltending. While circumstances have been a bit unusual, he has had a good run of goalies here.
Dave Spehar after his 3 hat tricks in the state tournament.

Sweden's defense has been stifling. Giving USA's high octane offense zero room. Moore has been more active today than Eiserman so far.
