The good news is that a 6-1 loss counts the same as a 2-1 loss. New game tonight.
Thank you. For all the hate on the criticism line they were not giving up the goals. Nor were they scoring any or doing much else. The first line was uncharacteristically bad and the Huglen line, other than Huglen same. Echoing sentiments on the 4th line. All three looked better than any other line last night. Hopeful for a controlled anger tonight that will translate into our team showing up and whoever that was last night being long gone.
They’ll all get a kick in the ass from the coaches and come out tonight and win. Seen this movie before.
Only focus for me is making the ncaa, then going as far as they can. Don’t think they will lose today but yesterday didn’t have the fire vs N Dame as they do vs rivals. Looking forward to Michigan at Mariucci next weekend.

Don't overthink it Bob... Put in Strobel as an extra forward. His effort is always there and plays a gritty game. I'd rather have him for insurance than Begely in my opinion

Didn't watch the game. Saw the Gophers had more SOG so I assume the quality chances however were much lower.
Reading a lot of ire towards Rinzel. I won't argue, but from the box score he was a -1. Koster, Huglen and Moore were -2 while Snuggy and Chesley were a -3.
Luke injured?

Rinzel gifted them the 1st and 5th goals. And he took the penalty that led to the 6th
By turning the puck over at the blue line leading to a breakaway forcing him to take the penalty. He is a very good player but showed his age last night with some pretty egregious unforced errors. He was not the only problem by any means
Luke injured?
must be injured or sick. He wasn’t bad enough yesterday you’d scratch him for Begley and Rud

I quickly buzzed through the 3rd period. With about 7 minutes left, he took a hard hit into the glass that jets out at the end of the Gophers bench. He did play 2 more shifts, the last seconds of the PK when ND scored and a short shift with around a minute left. I can see that the hit into the glass could have caused some sort of injury or soreness. Hopefully Bob will provide an update before the game.
It sure would be nice to have a reporter there to get info....

GO GOPHERS!!
Once again shaping up how ND wants this game to go.
Also, is Brodz banned from skating with the puck? Every time he touches it he stops skating.
I think we can beat District 5...
Players look like they want to be there today. That’s good
I like seeing more effort on the ice today
Just me or is the ice completely awful?
End of 1, tied at 0.

Pretty good period for the Gophers. I think Bischel heard @eric-vegoe talking about him on the GPL podcast 😉

shot attempts 24-8. looking much better today though still not at their standard they’ve been the last few weeks prior to last night. Be nice to see them come out and get a couple this period as it’s seeming like there’s some stick clutching starting to happen
Insanely bad. Gouges all over, standing water at the start of play. Just horrible.Just me or is the ice completely awful?
B1G refs... corrupt, or just incompetent?
KURTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11
Kurth 1-0.

Let’s go! Get another.
KURTHY
Getting goals from the 3rd line is HUGE!!!
Kurth goes bank shot for the goal.

Gophers challenging Notre Dame goal for potential goalie interference.
Did the Notre Dame player make enough effort to avoid bumping Close?
No way this is a goal to me. I am going to be mad lol
So when both Michigan State and Wisconsin knock Gopher players into their goalie Gopher goals get disallowed.
When Notre Dame player skates into the crease and it is a good goal.
🤔
I don’t fucking get it
Huglen doesn’t even push him in. I don’t get it. He enters the blue on his own. Unbelievable
Pardon my French but f$ck B1G reffing and f$ck goal tender interference. This is turning into an absolute joke. I’m actually starting to wait for Ashton Kutcher to pop up on our feed and tell us that we’re getting punked.
Puck just went off the net and they didn’t stop play.

Wally and Frank feel it was definitely a good goal.
I'm fine with that being a good goal as long as the two disallowed Gopher goals are good goals from the UW weekend.
This one seemed like obviously a no goal to me.
I posted the video above. I don't see how this is a good goal when we had the three goals waved off against Michigan State and Wisconsin.
