I imagine the gophers won’t start as slow as last week after the bye so that should help. Would be nice to see Close outplay the opposing goalie again, he’s certainly capable. Other than that I like our depth and chances better than last year and am more optimistic.

I thought that last week tBobs game plan was to anticipate us coming out a little slow so we played back in a defensive game for the first 10 minutes and suckered MSU into skating with us and then countered after giving up the early goal.
My twin boys are gonna have a heck of an experience for their first Gopher hockey game. Daughter has been with me a bunch so she's a seasoned vet. Wife will be in tow as well. Whole family affair to get wild and cheer on the Gophers.

My boys (12/9) can’t wait. It should be a great experience for their first trip to Mariucci. We are leaving shortly to make a day of it. Hoping for a win for them and to make my drive home much better!

I’d try to match up Nelson Brodz and Nevers on the ice against them as much as possible.
Weekend hat trick: Quinnipiac loss, Sue loss, another Pride on Ice Big Ten Banner....let's cap it off tonight!
Obviously this is the biggest game of the year so far. Payback for last year, and also the overall number one seed at stake. The Gophers would be home team on the scoreboard throughout and have the last line changes. Also playing the lower seeds, but with parity there are really no easy games.
