I think it’s kind of a weird version. Pretty sure it made an appearance or two at the DT over the years. ?
The TouchTunes version of the Rouser I have saved in my TouchTunes account is a bit different.

Either way, I know Houghton kinda expects stuff from us during our visits in July, but I also go in June, with friends who also like to "wreck the jukebox..."

On IG, Bally Sports has ads for their streaming app and the comments section was all people (including me) destroying them for the price and their other crappy business practices. I just noticed another ad and the comments were disabled.
Nostalgia at its best!

Actually, the birthday thread does still exist, it just takes a little navigating to get to it. From the Community tab, select "Forum", then click on the "General Discussion" link and navigate to the second page.
As an alternative, you could also click on this link.

I looked, but I guess not hard enough. ?
So, there's a place in Hopkins, Amy's Cupcakes, that makes high-end cupcakes. Sometimes they bring over the leftovers to LTD Brewing, for free. Today they brought over 3 full boxes (about 6 dozen cupcakes total) due to an event they were having.
Delicious!

I think wishing Jupiter a happy orbit day qualifies as a simple pleasure.
Happy Birthday, Jup!
(By the way, whereas the gas giant only takes 9 hours 55 minutes and 30 seconds to rotate once on its axis, it also takes 11.8618 Earth years to complete an orbit around the Sun. This means that a year on Jupiter is not only the equivalent of 4,332.59 Earth days, but 10,475.8 Jovian days. That means you aren't even 5 Jupiter years old!)

Aloha!
The Mankato West football team continues to win. They beat Chanhassen 23-21 in a very hard fought game. That was the 29th straight win for the Mankato West varsity squad but an even longer streak for my son and his senior teammates. On to the state playoffs to face district foe Rochester Mayo or Owatonna after they play tonight.

Aunt is visiting from South Carolina, met up with her and the rest of my fam for lunch. I sidestepped to the bartender on the way to our table, ordered a thing for her. This is how it went:
Aunt: Ok, this is obviously bourbon...
Me: Better. Blanton's.
Aunt: ...You're. Kidding.
Me: Nope, welcome home.
She geeked out, called my uncle and taunted him, took pics of her and the bottle, etc. She was in 7th Heaven. She couldn't believe she was actually drinking it. The joy on her face was so worth it.

I’ve just spent 10 days in the Amazon. What an experience! I’m not really a “Birder”, no life list or anything but the birds were fantastic. FLOCKS of Scarlett Macaws, watching Toucans in a tree (they are so fake looking), several varieties of Kingfishers. Giant River Otters, 6 ft long. Pink Dolphins. They really are pink, like Flamingo Pink. So amazing they look magical. Many types of monkeys, sloths and insects. I saw a Green Anaconda and a Red Tailed Boa Constrictor, Poison Dart frogs and butterfly’s as big as my head.
The people at villages are truly friendly and very welcoming. My red hair caused a sensation, not the first time lol.
We’re home tomorrow night, I’m looking forward to my own bed, but NOT the snow. One last night in Lima, one last Pisco Sour, one last dinner of cheap empanadas and plantain chips.
Note: Due to inflation dirty deeds will no longer be done dirt cheap.
In my younger days, today was a simple pleasure.
The night before Thanksgiving was my favorite night of the year to go to the bar.
In my college days, Bullwinkles and Grandmas were our favorites

Still a simple pleasure for DWI/DUI attorneys I’d bet.
Back when I worked for my Dad we always quit working on the day before Thanksgiving at noon and went to the Elks Club. Did the same thing on the December 23rd as well. Just kinda unwound with friends before going to hang out with family.
I'm trying to convince my wife to do this today, so far she has resisted my charm. ?

Blanton's is ridiculously overrated. Not as overrated as Pappy Van Winkle but still up there.
I could name a dozen that are better and way better value for the money.
(I have been lucky to try many a great bourbon over the years and drink a whole lot of Blanton's before it became the "It Thing" )
Glad you mom loved it though that is always very cool

But, last year when she visited, she specifically asked about Blanton's, thinking since we were the midwest, it might be around, compared to the area where it comes from. At the time, it wasn't. This time, it was, hence me getting a pour for her. We both know it's over-hyped in price, however...

Seeing a fully customized maroon-gold Harley, with Goldy logo, Ski-U-Mah on the back, GOGOPH license plate, I mean this person went all out. @Viking has pics/vid, he said he's going to figure out a way to post them or somehow share them. It was a BEAUTIFUL bike.

That bike is hardcore. I’ve seen several hardcore Vikings vehicles for tailgating and going to games. Though this bike is part of the cream of the crop for Gophers.

What a Saturday. USA world cup at 9 then Wild, Gopher Women, Gopher Men, Gopher Volleyball.
So much for chores...
A couple months old but I came across this and it is hilarious. Be sure to click on the links to see this and last year’s headshots. Genius! ?
A friend of mine's mother past away last week, obviously not the simple pleasure. She was just shy of 90 so it was definitely a celebration of life and the funeral was this morning in Gordon, Wi. To see the surprise and shock when another buddy and I showed up at the funeral was worth the trip. Having another buddy fly in from CO almost put him over the edge.
Sad occasion but gratifying day.

I got a text an email shortly after the first attempt and there two more attempts within minutes.
All declined at the transaction and ironically one was at Target online where we never use our AmEx instead using our Target card instead. BTW the target m/c is excellent too, especially if you're traveling OUS due to its chip & PIN.
