Wendy's breakfast potatoes are lights out... there breakfast sandwiches are sub par like any fast food (McDonalds or Burger King) breakfast sandwiches.

You opinion is wrong. Mr. Green

McDonald's breakfast sandwiches are delicious.

If I had to give up either beer or McDonald’s breakfast sandwiches for the rest of my life it would be the sandwiches, of course. But I’d likely move to drinking beer for breakfast. Mr. Green

Been wanting to try a beef brisket bowl at Chipotle for several weeks now. Had it set in my mind to have one this past Saturday pregame at the Chipotle on campus. My wife and I go in, she orders some chicken tacos. I ordered a brisket bowl and was told it’ll be 20 minutes. So I went with a steak bowl and well have to wait tell next time… lol!!!

Had the Chipotle brisket Sat night, was good but a little too much gristle and fat so I’m not sure what to think. Still like the carne asada the best.

I ordered their brisket burrito when it first came out. I used the app and it gave me a pick up time of 5:40 (20 minutes after I ordered). I got there at 5:40 and my food wasn't ready and there was a huge line of people waiting for their food. My food ended up being ready 25 minutes later.

This isn't a knock on the employees who are working at Chipotle as I know they are understaffed and working their tails off. If they are short staffed and experiencing longer wait times, corporate Chipotle should have the app give more appropriate pick up times. I would have been just fine if my pick up time would have said 1 hour instead of 20 minutes. I know several Chipotles have turned off mobile ordering and pick up because of staffing.

We have the same issue at the Chipotle 3-4 miles from my house. The situation is so bad I refuse to go there.

Somehow those geniuses thought it was smart to build another location 1 mile from my house. It is currently under construction. If you’re short staffed and cant get a burrito to a customer in under 45 minutes, why are you opening another location nearby?

Had a great meal at Ike's in Minnetonka, and of all the fast-casual burger places I've tried through the years I finally found one I'd go back to - MyBurger in Wayzata. My only nitpick is that I'd rather they give you fewer fries and a slightly larger patty, but otherwise both were fantastic. I don't know what they do to their fries by they're even better than McDonalds.

Yep...I'm a member of several neighborhood Facebook groups and in every single one there are complaints about the Chipotle in their city. I have been avoiding Chipotle too but at the time the brisket burrito was supposedly limited time only so I wanted to get one. Definitely not going back to any of them until things get straightened out.

I was just going to say, it seems that a simple solution is to not go to chipotle. I have eaten there very few times, the last couple were order out and they severely skimped on product, which for the price you pay is not zesty.

Depends on your location. My closest one is good and the order is always ready at the promised time.

Would skip the brisket though. Carne asada was solid.

I've never understood the Chipotle hype which is good for those of you who like it as I won't be in your way. :)

I mean, it's better than Taco Bell.

This is NOT a high bar to get over.

Having said that, from a price/convenience standpoint, I'm probably more likely to get something from Taco Bell anyway. And it's been many years since I did that, even.

It is like Chick Fil A. It is fast food, but it's solid enough food and that's why people of all income levels eat there when something easy is needed.

Taco Bell went downhill massively over the past couple years. Menu is a mess and they got rid of a ton of high value favorites.

I have always disliked the food. Unfortunately my family likes it. I would never go there if it wasn’t for them.

I like Chipotle but I have really cut back on carbs so I don't go there much at all. With the service issues they have been having I likely wouldn't be going a lot anyway.

Fair enough. I certainly didn't think I was "missing" anything. Taco Bell is to reasonably good Mexican food what McDonalds is to a really good burger. Vaguely recognizable as the food in question, but hardly something to hold up as an example.

I find this happens at A LOT of restaurants. It's like they want to fail. Get rid of the the top items and stick with the duds.

I've gone to the Chipotle near 7 & 101 three times and never had an issue outside of there being a small line in front of me one time. I just get a cup for water and for the amount of food they packed in that thing (even though I go with 1/2 rice, no sour cream and no cheese) it's worth the price to me. But obviously ymmv.

Location matters a lot as does when you go in. I typically just waited until 2 or 3 and never had an issue with lines but if I went at noon it was a gong show. Online ordering was just pointless at some locations like when I used to go to the one in Hopkins, they just basically ignored the online ordering from what I could tell. And quality def varies by location, I always thought the one in Eagan off Denmark or w/e was vastly better than the one off Cliff Rd for example. That said it's been a while since I've been to Chipotle.

I am sure location matters - just thought I'd throw that one out there for anyone living in that area. I also hadn't been to one for a while due to location of another type. Mr. Green

I'd wager the Blaine Chipotle is one of, if not the busiest in the state because it is right across the street from the National Sports Center, and Chipotle is a major sponsor for USA Hockey and US Soccer for a reason. I'm not surprised they're building another one nearby.

You are correct. The it is not uncommon to have a line out the door with 15-20 people standing outside.

I always wanted to buy that location and put in a second cash register as that seems to be the rate limiting step….and a silly reason to slow down the sales.

It would pay for itself in less than a week.

Location is key. There is a Chipotle right across the street from LTD Brewing, but I'd rather go to Nacho's 3 blocks away. Better food, better service, more authentic, AND family-owned.

Cliff road is the one we’ve used at my work for lunch now and then. They screw up orders and skimp a lot when you don’t watch them make it. Apple Valley’s was similar.

Finally got my smoked brisket burrito bowl at chipotle after three tries. It’s actually pretty good… Their brisket is actually better than several BBQ places I’ve been to.

The Rebel Lobster Food Truck is off the wall good!!! The wife and I stopped by their food truck at the WBL Cub as we were heading up to Duluth for the weekend. A little speedy at $25 a sandwich, but the whole sandwich was amazing. Been meaning to stop by their food truck for months and their locations and times never worked out until today. Most defiantly will make every effort to hit it up again.

The chunks of lobster are not chintzy. Every chunk was thumb to index finger size. And the toasted bun you could sell by itself, it’s so good.

Anchor Bar for burgers. Classic.

Shamrock Pizza / Bar on Tower Ave in South Superior.

Agree 100%. In particular , the crust on a Shamrock Pizza is absolutely delicious. Anchor had great burgers too and CHEAP. Just remember to bring cash, they don’t take credit cards…amazingly thou, they will take a local check ??

Shamrock also doesn't take plastic, & you are spot on about the crust. Also only 1 crust type, not thin not thick but very chewy & good.

My S. in L. worked there when he was in HS & turned us on to it.

Clyde Iron Works (Duluth) - excellent food and pizza.

The Shack (Superior) - excellent BBQ.

Hwy 61 (North Shore Drive):

Rustic Inn pies (Castle Danger) >>>>>>> Betty’s Pies pies (Two Harbors).

Keep your stick on the ice...

I agree gator about Betty's Pies.

Rode with some friends up Mn23, through Jay Cooke on 210 & ended up at BP. It is now a ca$h making tourist trap.

Then go over to Suptucky.

East End Tavern on 5th would be a nice place. Tell Dodgey about your mutual Mille Lacs friend.
