When I watched the NHL as a kid, I liked the Wings (the Wild didn't exist). If he signs for Minnesota or Detroit, I'll be pumped either way.
I liked the Wings too because the North Stars didn't exist (and same with the Packers/Vikings).

I don't think you can blame the Wild, if he signs with someone else. I think the money will be the same everywhere. It most likely depends on where he thinks is the best fit.

I disagree. If they're bringing in a bunch of forwards already, may be leaving him in college as they'll have made the cap they need. They aren't going to go rebuild with Mathews in his prime
