Arizona State who is 4-7-1 is up 2-1 at Denver after two periods. The shots on goal are Arizona State 25-18.
Denver's goal was on the power play. Arizona State has two even strength goals.
Will the Sun Devils give Denver their first loss? 🤔
Robert Morris has scored three 3rd period goals at the Ralph getting the tying goal with 5 seconds left to send their game with the Sue to OT tied at 3.
EDIT: The Sue won 4-3 in OT
The winning goal was on a 4 on 3 power play.
I thought refs shallowed their whistle in overtime. Let the players decide the game. 😆
@collegehockeyaddict thats still a rough 55% of a win against a bad team. better than the L but still. UND doing themselves no favors.
Elsewhere in games Gopher fans should care about, Omaha finally won over Miami. Tommies and Beavers tie. Mercyhurst might be the worst team in D1 this year and loses yet again. that one will be a do not f it up series
Who won the shootout in bemidji?
OT wins are 66.7% of a win for the RPI portion of Pairwise but your overall point remains.
North Dakota is 6-6 but because of this game their Pairwise winning % is .472 so the Sue are an under .500 team.

my bad. yep you're right! forgot about the change a couple years ago and had it flipped in my head (from 2/3 to .55 instead of other way around)

Pretty much every Omaha game is low scoring. They are scoring 1.9 goals per game and giving up 2.3 goals per game. Last year when they made the NCAA tournament they scored 2.9 goals per game.
With the defense/goal tending they are getting they can definitely move up in Pairwise with even a little bit more offense. They have now won 2 of their last 3 games.
Losing to Omaha sucked (especially after dominating the game) but since it was in OT (3 on 3) the 33.3% from the game is only slightly worse than a tie.
In the end Omaha is only one of our 36 regular season games. Our final Pairwise ranking will also include Big Ten playoff games so the Omaha game is 2-3 % of our total resume.
The 12 non conference games overall are definitely important and so far we are 6-2 (6.33 out of 8 so almost 80%).
Just sharing information. 😀
Tough night for the state of Colorado
DU goes down for the first time to ASU. CC loses to SCSU
edit: because typing while watching additional sports goes poorly
Denver tied it at 2-2 with 4:01 remaining in 3rd, then ASU scored with 45 seconds remaining to win it 3-2Tough night for the state of Denver

The state of Denver? Checks map of the US nope no state of Denver 😝 I tease.
Duluth gets swept at home for the third time already this season losing 5-2 and 4-1 to Western Michigan. They are 2-7 at home. The two wins are against Stonehill. It's a good thing they scheduled the Skyhawks so they could get some home wins.
Apparently Michigan and Penn State have decided to play no defense this weekend. Last night Michigan had multiple 3 goal leads but needed to score the last goal to win 6-5. Tonight Penn State has had multiple three goal leads but Michigan leads 6-5 after two periods.
Northeastern gets their second win of the year and beatsbc
Denver going to need Third period comeback to avoid being swept at home
The Omaha offense is on fire tonight scoring 6 goals in less than half of a game.
What happened midway through 3rd in the Mich/PSU game?!?!?! 4-3 PSU after 1, 6-4 Mich. after 2 and a fist full of PPGs in the 3rd.
Keep your stick on the ice...
Denver at home gets swept by Arizona State who coming into the weekend had won only 4 of their first 12 games (4-7-1).
So with Denver getting swept at home this past weekend And BC losing a game over the weekend who will be ranked #1 this week?
Aloha!
My guess is Michigan State
B1G refs... corrupt, or just incompetent?
Already getting the troops fired up and it’s not even January, let alone December.

Sparty is the new #1.
I'm 50% factual and 50% sarcastic. When you get to know me, you will know which is which.
So this weekend both Alaska who play the Gophers and Alaska Anchorage who play at Badddgers will fly together to MPLS then Anchorage will take a bus ride to Madison?
Aloha!
Penn State probably sweeps Michigan with Sergeev in net. The goaltending they got last weekend was atrocious.
They’re playing Colgate right now with a club goalie in net. Oof.

I bet they miss Souliere.

what happened to all their goalies?
I know their main goalie, the big Russian who played against us, was injured a couple of weeks ago vs the BADgers.

Their back up goalie struggled both games last week against Michigan giving up 6 goals on 25 shots on Friday and 7 goals on 19 shots on Saturday getting pulled three minutes into the 3rd period so they are now playing their 3rd goalie.
Based on the scoring chances during the games the expected goals were Penn State 4.4 to 3.3 on Friday and Penn State 5.3 to 3.1 on Saturday.
Michigan won 6-5 on Friday and 10-6 on Saturday.
Penn State really has some fun young players on offense. If Guy can keep those guys together they could be really fun down the road. Aidan Fink might be the best non Minnesota forward in the Big 10.
Bemidji State beats the Sue 2-1.
The Sue are 7-7-0 with one of their wins being in a 3 on 3 OT so their Pairwise winning % is .4762

Mattias Scholl masterclass.. Also the whioux are overrated 🤣
Bemidji State after beating the Sue last night 2-1 at home gets the 3-3 tie tonight at the Ralph to win the series.

Rick Haley might need a wellness check... lol!!!

Badgers currently getting “goalied” by Anchorage. Plenty of time left though.
I see anchorage blew it with 19 seconds left and the skunks win the stupid human tricks.
The Badgers scored with 19 seconds left in regulation. Game ends 1-1.
Shots on goal were Badgers 45-15
Going into the game Anchorage was 2-10-1 and #62 (out of 64) in Pairwise.
Wisconsin is 5-8-1 and #42 in Pairwise.
Yes it is early but they are digging themselves a big hole.
The next two weekends they play Michigan State at home and than at Michigan.
Go RPI and go Vermont today
Buckeyes get swept by Princeton. 3-1 scores both nights
Looking at the NCAA site, it looks like they're going back to Friday/Saturday/Sunday regionals? Or did they just not put the right dates in, does anyone know?
B1G refs... corrupt, or just incompetent?
@steve-mn was the same way last year when I bought tickets so I'd guess its just while they're waiting for it to get closer/TV; though i'd prefer it's just all Fri/Sun as it's nicer for travel if you're going especially if you get the later regional
Good call. I just did some more poking around. On the "Future Dates & Sites" it shows 3 days, but if I dig around and get to the "Road to the Championship" page, then it shows Thursday-Sunday@steve-mn was the same way last year when I bought tickets so I'd guess its just while they're waiting for it to get closer/TV; though i'd prefer it's just all Fri/Sun as it's nicer for travel if you're going especially if you get the later regional

Penn State at Ohio State on BTN at 630.
So Mich State at Baddddgers this weekend I see a sweep for Mich State 😎
Aloha!
Denver has now lost three games in a row losing tonight at Western Michigan. The Broncos lead 3-0 after two periods and won 3-2. Denver scored with 9 and half minutes left and with just over 3 minutes left.
Western Michigan is off to a great start at 10-2-1 (6-0-1 in NCHC play).
Their two losses are at BC and at Michigan. The series last weekend against Michigan was a split with the home team winning both games. In the single game at BC Western Michigan lead 2-0 after one period and 2-1 after two periods. BC tied it earlier in the 3rd and scored the game winner with 51 seconds left (empty netter with 23 seconds).
They have sweeps against Ferris State (one home game, one road game), at Omaha, vs. Colorado College, at Duluth.
So Mich State at Baddddgers this weekend I see a sweep for Mich State 😎
Michigan State gets shut out 4-0. Not a good day for Sparty.
