This is The GPL Podcast, part of the Pulltab Sports family.
0:13
I always Uber Eats Taco Bell when I'm not here.
0:17
I told my wife that, too, today, and she's like, not tonight, not tonight.
0:22
Not tonight?
0:24
But I ordered, I Uber Eats Taco Bell, and I think I woke up at like 4 a.m., and I was like, my Taco Bell's still outside.
0:38
You know, it was good to see that the Big Ten Network recognized how to cover hockey.
0:49
Here's Jupiter and Vego.
1:02
Good evening, and welcome to The GPL Podcast, episode number 280.
1:09
Good evening, Vs.
1:11
How are you doing tonight?
1:14
Oh, you're muted.
1:17
Oh, there we go.
1:18
You pulled at me.
1:20
Well, usually you automatically unmute me coming in.
1:22
So as usual, you know, I'm just keeping everything going right now, trying to scramble my way through the hockey season.
1:29
Very intense period of the year right now, but exciting times too.
1:35
Unfortunately, we saw the Gophers on Friday not do so well, but...
1:40
Okay, let's talk about some good news first.
1:42
Cause you know, you talk about how busy it is and it's going to be busy.
1:46
You know, we're off next week, but after that, it's going to be busy through the rest of the season.
1:51
And one thing we're going to be doing a special show on February 20th, that Thursday, aren't we?
1:58
That's right.
1:59
There's a new sheriff in town with High Speed Air and Net.
2:03
We're going to be doing Fiber to the Fish House, sponsored by Gateway Fiber, coming up here in Maple Grove on February 20th.
2:11
We're going to do a live pod from there, kind of infrastructure coming from Gateway Fiber.
2:18
So it should be fun.
2:18
There'll be lots of things there to do and celebrating the arrival of Gateway Fiber to our shores in the most Minnesota way possible by doing a pod in a fish house.
2:29
A pod in a fish house, Veegs.
2:30
It's going to be a little crazy, isn't it?
2:32
Yeah, I feel like we should have had Jack Ramsey lined up for that show, being the ice fishing expert, but I think he'll be busy.
2:38
So there'll be lots of fun stuff there, some giveaways, other pods.
2:42
Kind of the main thing.
2:43
Yeah, it's all by Pulltabs putting this all together, pushing Gateway Fiber on kind of the northern parts of the cities, Plymouth and Brooklyn Center and all that other stuff.
2:54
And I think earlier in the day they're doing some free pizza and stuff like that from like 11 to 2.
2:59
And then our show will be at, was it 4 or 5 PM that day?
3:04
I think Veegs.
3:05
Yeah, 4 to 5 will be there and we'll have Cappy on with us to talk about Ohio State that week.
3:09
We definitely will.
3:10
So we're excited about it.
3:11
We're going to talk more about this one.
3:13
We've got John King on in a couple of weeks.
3:15
So that'll be fun.
3:17
But we just wanted to make you guys aware.
3:18
We're going to be live up in Maple Grove on February 20th.
3:24
Okay, now the bad news, Veegs.
3:27
I picked five points last week.
3:29
You picked six.
3:32
They got one.
3:34
And let's just do it now.
3:35
This is how we felt on Friday night.
3:38
Rain, rain, terrible, gave up nine goals, Veegs.
3:45
It was not a very good weekend for Minnesota.
3:50
Luke Middlestad had an interesting comment this week.
3:52
It's like, we got to get the me out of our game.
3:55
And I think they also got to add a little bit more compete.
3:59
You know, the fine line between successful hockey and losing hockey sometimes is pretty small.
4:05
And the game just got away from them play after play after play.
4:09
And Adam Nightingale has done a great job acquiring talent at Michigan State.
4:13
And they definitely capitalized.
4:15
Gophers didn't get great goal tending either.
4:17
Tough recipe for success.
4:19
It was kind of like the antithesis of Mike Hastings hockey.
4:23
And luckily we have a guest on to maybe show us like all the things that a team can do right to do wins this week and things that are going well, because it's definitely not good feelings for the Gopher family right now.
4:34
It was bad feelings, but better feelings throughout the season didn't start so well for the Badgers.
4:40
But when we talk Badgers, we only bring in one guy, Todd Milewski.
4:44
Let's bring him in.
4:46
Todd.
4:47
Hi, man.
4:48
I was making sure that was me.
4:53
I'm good.
4:54
I'm good.
4:54
How are you guys?
4:55
We're doing good.
4:56
We're doing good.
4:57
You know, Minnesota bad weekend last weekend happens.
5:03
The Badgers on the other end have been doing much better, a lot less.
5:08
Well, forget it.
5:09
They have three league losses regulation.
5:12
Yeah.
5:14
They have seven shootout or overtime losses.
5:19
And that's what's really been killing them, because early in the season, they just weren't scoring.
5:24
Well, killing them, but also propping them up if you want.
5:28
I guess.
5:29
Yeah, I guess.
5:31
They're in fourth place right now because of those loser points.
5:35
Loser points.
5:37
Let's call it what it is, right?
5:40
Yes.
5:41
You're getting a point for getting overtime, okay.
5:44
But yeah, they've got two goals in overtime this season, both of them by a defenseman who is now out for the season.
5:55
Who probably normally wouldn't have even have been in those over times, but he scored once on a shift where he just happened to get out there because they're three or four minutes deep.
6:05
They said next time, they'll throw him out there again and he scored again.
6:09
That was Daniel Lach and he's out for the season with an injury.
6:12
But yeah, scratch your head time on how that's finishing that way for him.
6:21
But the Badgers have to be happy with four points on the weekend against a Michigan team and maybe also Michigan a little disappointing this year so far, would you say?
6:33
Yeah, I think there's certain elements of their game that are fairly disappointing.
6:38
I don't know that we knew for sure whether they're going to be able to outscore their errors like they have in the past.
6:48
And I think that's, there's been some major cases of that this year.
6:55
They were not very well disciplined, which I think hearing from a few Gopher fans last week too in some of my mentions, not a shock.
7:06
But that's a team that can be really good.
7:11
It's just not all put together there right now.
7:15
Well, one team that is put together in Michigan right now is Michigan State Veegs.
7:21
Minnesota certainly handles Michigan, you know, geez, a month and a half ago now.
7:26
But Michigan State definitely has Minnesota's number.
7:31
They do.
7:32
And I think a lot of people coming into this weekend were looking at Trey Augustine as this brick wall goaltender that was going to give the Gophers lots of trouble.
7:41
The Gophers did get to three in both nights.
7:44
If you get three against Trey Augustine, you have to feel pretty good about yourself offensively.
7:50
But on the flip side, defensively, Michigan State really took it to Minnesota.
7:54
I thought they out competed Minnesota on plays at the net.
7:57
I thought they took advantage of Gopher turnovers on the faceoff circle.
8:02
They absolutely hammered the Gophers.
8:03
I think they won like 65% of the draws on the weekend.
8:09
It's hard to win hockey games when you start almost every key shift without the puck and chasing.
8:15
And they're losing draws clean too.
8:17
I know during availability this week, Motsko was trying to say it's a shared responsibility on this team to win draws with wings and other guys helping out.
8:28
I got to see some instat video this week looking at faceoff losses.
8:33
There's a lot of clean ones that other teams are winning.
8:36
So that's got to change for Minnesota.
8:38
I'm not sure how it's going to pan out because it's not like you can bring in new centers.
8:44
They've got to keep working with the ones they have.
8:47
But it's just interesting to hear the way the coaches and the players talk about it when they're asked about faceoffs.
8:53
And you talk about it.
8:55
It's a team thing.
8:56
But like you said, if you looked at those instats, there were quite a few times.
9:03
Boy, you lose that faceoff in the defensive zone.
9:07
All of a sudden, boom, the puck is in the net, and it's directly off that.
9:12
Well, and it's leading to quick offense to off the draws.
9:15
Like other teams are able to get the puck moving and get pucks to the net.
9:20
It's not like Minnesota is being aggressive and blocking those shots and getting in lanes and getting in their structure.
9:25
It's almost like sometimes they lose their draws in the D zone, and it takes them a second or two to kind of figure out how to defend.
9:33
And against talented teams, they're going to take advantage of that.
9:36
And it's just in a detail to this team saying that they're going to have to figure out as you get deeper in the season because draws matter and you get to tournament time and these one and done situations and you can have the most talent and the best power play.
9:52
But if you can't win faceoffs at least 50, 50 or contest them, you're going to be in trouble.
9:59
So a nine, three loss, a three, three tie.
10:02
And then it leads us to our favorite new stat, Todd, the most unbelievable step of all time.
10:08
Now, it is totally is in a row on the penalty, the shootout, 25 misses in a row.
10:19
It is not explainable.
10:21
It's not.
10:22
It's not.
10:23
It just isn't.
10:25
I mean, post and our crossbar and up on one of them this last week.
10:29
Right.
10:30
So three inches and you got a goal.
10:35
Yeah.
10:37
How can that keep happening?
10:40
How can I mean, I understand the losing.
10:43
You lose that many in a row.
10:44
Not scoring once is the part that is just beyond reason for me.
10:52
Veegs.
10:53
I've just embraced it.
10:55
I just kind of enjoy it now.
10:57
Come on.
10:58
It's 25 in a row.
11:01
I mean, okay, Veegs, if you took 25 shots in a row on a penalty shootout on Martin Brodeur, you're going to get one of them.
11:13
I don't know if I get one on Marty.
11:15
Maybe today now, if we got them out of the front office and threw on some old deer hair pads.
11:20
But I will say, by luck, you think you'd get one through.
11:24
It was interesting.
11:25
At practice on Wednesday, the team worked on face-offs and structure out of face-offs for about 30 minutes.
11:32
Okay.
11:33
Then they spent about 20 minutes on shootout.
11:38
Like full ice from the red line all the way in shootout.
11:41
Really?
11:42
They had teams of five competing against each other and a little round robin.
11:48
I think the coaching staff is probably like, let's just spend some time on this.
11:52
Maybe we'll get one and we can move on.
11:55
Because I've never seen them practice shootout for that long.
11:58
Usually, it's just like a five or 10 minute deal.
12:00
Yeah.
12:00
Because when I went to practice about a month or a couple weeks ago, it wasn't an official big shootout thing, but it was that type of thing they were practicing, where you get rewarded as a game.
12:10
If you score, you get to go 2-1-0.
12:12
It's like this cool little game and you're pitting one side against the other.
12:17
It's not like they are not practicing it.
12:19
They were kind of doing it in fun games, but you are specifically saying they practiced for a while, specifically on it this week.
12:27
And maybe with a little bit of pressure, they wouldn't share with me what the reward was and the penalties.
12:32
Sometimes with little kid, you call it the orange and the lemon.
12:35
If you're on the good side, you get to go the orange line and you're playing to win the orange.
12:39
If you go to the lemon line after missing, you got to score.
12:43
Otherwise, you're going to have to eat the lemon at the end as the loser.
12:47
They're playing for a little bit of pride in that one and maybe something else.
12:51
Mike Kesture's group won it out of the shootout competition.
12:56
I saw Connor Kurth with some good moves.
12:58
Bertie Zemur with some good moves.
13:00
Stungaroo obviously with a great shot.
13:02
If they do get it into another shootout, we'll see if all this attention pays off.
13:07
Did anyone pull a Rolston in any of that time?
13:11
I saw a fake Rolston, but I did not see the huge slapper yet, so.
13:18
Well, Todd, I kind of hope it continues because it's just baffling.
13:24
It doesn't make sense, like you say.
13:30
I meant to look this up and I didn't, but have there been any penalty shot goals?
13:34
There had to have been somewhere along the way, right?
13:38
Well, we're not including that on the stat.
13:42
Haven't they had any penalty shots that they've scored in that time?
13:47
Well, Jack Ramsey missed the last one.
13:51
Or is he out of that stat now?
13:54
He's probably out of that one now.
13:55
I think somebody else has missed since then.
13:57
It might have been Snuggeroad.
14:00
Snuggeroad has not scored on a shootout or a penalty shot yet.
14:05
So you wonder whether, do you start changing up who's who's going first or who's going in the first three or I mean, just reversing the order taken taking someone who would never get a chance and say, Hey, they've done that though.
14:24
They've totally done that.
14:25
I the first thing somebody tweeted when Chesley took a shot on Saturday night, like, why is the defenseman taking a shot?
14:34
Well, why?
14:34
Why did they put the rest of the guys out there?
14:35
And it's like, I responded by saying, because no one else can score.
14:40
Why not throw anybody out there?
14:41
Because obviously, before then, 25, you know, players before or 24 players before that had missed.
14:49
Why not throw a defenseman out there?
14:50
I mean, they've got nothing to lose.
14:53
Well, I remember at one point when the streak was going on, Cal Thomas was the player that won the shootout competition in practice.
14:59
So the coaching staff put him out there first.
15:01
Yeah, you know, that's kind of how they were trying to do it.
15:04
It was like a little bit of a meritocracy of, hey, if you win the shootout in practice, you're going to go first in the game if you want it.
15:10
So it's a great mystery.
15:13
You know, luckily for pairwise, you know, this shootout stuff doesn't matter.
15:18
So if you're a Gopher fan, you can look at Friday's 9-3 loss.
15:22
That's just one loss in the pairwise.
15:24
It doesn't take into account score differential.
15:28
And then the tie is a tie.
15:30
So the Gophers have two ties, I think, this year and four losses in Michigan State.
15:34
And obviously it's not hurting them too much in the pairwise.
15:37
They still are in position for a number one seed.
15:40
It's just Michigan State and DC seem to be running away with the number one and number two overall seeds.
15:46
And you did find the Jimmy Snugger who did score November 2020.
15:50
Is that the stat you found?
15:52
2022 against Notre Dame.
15:54
Oh, 2020, yes.
15:55
I didn't quite read that.
15:56
I think he's missed again since then.
15:59
Yeah, I think so, too.
16:01
But that's just it, Todd.
16:03
Everything just kind of blurs down.
16:04
Right.
16:04
It's like a streak.
16:06
I just I enjoy it.
16:08
Now I have my little file up ready to put it in the system of who's missing and whatnot.
16:15
I that's all you can say.
16:16
You just I'm just laughing.
16:18
I'm just enjoying it.
16:20
Especially when it only matters to the degree of true point in the standings.
16:25
True.
16:26
And true.
16:28
Yeah, that could be valuable, but it's it's easier to say that it'll be all right.
16:34
Well, if they you know, if they are behind a team by a, you know, one point, you know, for a place, maybe if they would have gotten those two extra points during the season.
16:44
Yeah.
16:45
I mean, if it means the difference between winning a championship and finishing second or getting a home semifinal or going on the road in the semifinals.
16:53
Yeah, that's going to that's going to feel pretty bad, right?
16:56
I can't imagine like losing by one point.
16:58
Let's not say they're going to Michigan State Beegs.
17:00
And we know they probably would rather finish second than first.
17:04
But is it there like a bonus for I mean, Bob missed like a $30,000 bonus just a few years ago from finishing second, didn't he?
17:14
Yeah.
17:14
And that was the year that not everybody played the same number of games.
17:18
And so we were trying to figure out, you know, win percentage, point percentage.
17:22
And I think they went win percentage, but if they would have gone point percentage, Motsco would have won the $30,000 and the Gophers would have won the regular season.
17:29
Right.
17:30
You know, fans can say what's more important.
17:32
I'm sure Bob was like, should have came panning a little harder for that one, I guess.
17:37
But yeah, big picture.
17:39
You know, the biggest thing for me is you'd like to have a Big Ten tournament game on home ice.
17:45
We've seen Minnesota have that opportunity against Michigan and they haven't obviously delivered in those games, but they were great atmospheres.
17:52
They're fun to be at.
17:54
So that's really the only thing I think you could look at right now with getting the number one seed and winning the conference regular season.
18:02
And Todd, Brad Schlossman jumped on for overtime last week.
18:07
He talked about how he's looking forward to the NCHC moving from, you know, a big site to campus sites for their tournament just because he's seen, you know, at Michigan State last year, Michigan and Michigan State.
18:22
Great atmosphere.
18:23
We've had seen at Mariucci and, you know, he talks about games up at Michigan Tech and how it was just awesome.
18:30
It's the way to go now.
18:32
It is.
18:32
I think I still will say if anyone could pull off what the WCHA pulled off with the final five back in the day, you absolutely have to do that.
18:42
But those days are gone for any more reasons, you know, but beyond the fracturing of the league, more just the fan engagement seems to be a little less that time of the year of getting everyone in one place.
18:55
I mean, we've seen the NCHC has been able to do it to a degree, but it's obviously fallen off for them too.
19:04
And yeah, it's, it just seems like the way to go.
19:08
The numbers don't lie, the pictures don't lie, the video doesn't lie.
19:14
It all just makes sense to do it that way.
19:16
And then you start to ask, as I'm sure Brad would extend it on, why wouldn't you do that in the NCAAs?
19:23
And there's still not a great answer to say, well, here's why not.
19:35
Unless it's the Coles Center, because we know the Coles Center struggled because they had other things planned.
19:40
No, and honestly, that's one of the reasons why, you know, Wisconsin wasn't really hugely in favor of sending the Big Ten tournament to campus sites, because they couldn't guarantee they were going to have their building for all of it.
19:56
But they've worked out most of that now.
19:59
There's still the...
20:00
usually it's one weekend a year that they don't have their building, would have to play on a Sunday.
20:08
But it's never been a factor before.
20:12
So haven't had to cross that bridge yet.
20:16
But yeah, we'll have this conversation forever about regionals.
20:23
And if it does happen, people will start having conversations about going back the other way again.
20:29
So yeah, this is just what we like to do.
20:32
It's fine.
20:33
The find the problem and or if it isn't a problem, make it a problem.
20:39
Ben Holden makes me commissioner of College Hockey.
20:42
I'm just going to have a Western Collegiate Championship and it's going to be everybody from NCHC, CCHA, NCHC, Big Ten, and you're all just going to play it Excel and it's going to be a 16 down to one weekend.
20:57
It's just going to be a great festival of College Hockey.
21:00
The East Coast can do the same thing.
21:01
They can do their Champions of the East with Atlantic and Hockey East and ECAC, and they can have their tournament and then we'll have campus sites for the regionals, best of three.
21:12
It'll be awesome.
21:14
Yeah, Veegs did get a vote of the College Hockey Commissioner last weekend with Ben Holden.
21:18
I think Schloss was like the idea too, Veegs.
21:21
Yeah, it'll be great.
21:24
I've got two votes.
21:24
I'll go for that.
21:25
Yeah.
21:25
Yes, three votes.
21:26
I'll vote for three.
21:27
I'll put my vote behind you there.
21:28
Yeah.
21:31
Well, we can only hope, you know, Schloss did kind of mention Veegs, that he thinks that some of the turnover of these older coaches could help that cause with some schools going younger with their coaching staff.
21:49
Yeah, I mean, it could happen, but it's long term.
21:51
You know, they're already set with sites now for a couple of years.
21:53
So it'll take some time to revisit it.
21:57
But as much as people like to ask the coaches about it, they're not the ones making the decision.
22:02
They put in their input, but they're not the ones making the call on it.
22:06
So, yeah, it's not all on them.
22:09
I mean, they have a say in it, but it's not, you know, they're not the ones controlling the pocketbooks either.
22:18
So, never-ending conversation.
22:23
So, Veegs, we need to talk about one of our sponsors here.
22:27
Lunch, bucket, hockey.
22:31
Their social stuff is so great.
22:33
They got a lot of great apparel out there.
22:36
Tell us about it.
22:37
Yeah, a couple local guys, you know, they started a front Friday lunchtime pick up hockey league, and they now have a hockey brand.
22:45
And when Jack Ramsey and the Minnesota Lumberjacks went out to Vail to play in that little yeti tournament out there, they were wearing lunch bucket hockey jerseys, which was sweet.
22:55
Lakeville North, when they were doing some of their special, you know, first responders games, they got lunch bucket hockey jerseys for that, you know, special ones with that cool Nordiques logo stuff going on.
23:05
So, check them out if you're looking for custom jerseys or something special.
23:09
You know, this is for the hardworking guy on and off the ice.
23:13
All right.
23:13
And we thank lunch bucket hockey for being a sponsor of The GPL Podcast.
23:18
Now it's time for Vigo's top 20.
23:23
Not much change there, V.
23:25
Your top nine are all the same.
23:28
It's just hard to see the movement.
23:30
You know, teams aren't necessarily separating themselves besides BC and Michigan State.
23:35
You know, Western obviously has been pretty good this year, and that's why we got them at three and Denver at four.
23:41
I think one of those NCHC teams is going to get a number one seed.
23:45
The other one might be a number two seed, depending on how Minnesota can finish their year.
23:49
But I just kind of see that top nine as a group right now.
23:53
Connecticut's one that's fourth in the pair wise, but ninth for me in my poll.
23:59
You know, I look at their schedule and they do have some good wins, but I just don't know if they're quite the talent that some of the other teams are at the top.
24:06
And then when you get in the back half, there's just a lot of consistency.
24:10
There's a lot of splits right now in College Hockey at that area.
24:14
And there's been some teams that have fallen out now of my top 20, like St.
24:17
Cloud and North Dakota and Cornell.
24:21
And you're seeing some, you know, smaller teams get in there like Augustana and Sacred Heart, Michigan Tech that I've had some good games and some upsets lately.
24:30
How's that compared to your votes this week in the USCHO poll, Todd?
24:36
Well, I don't have Wisconsin in my top 20.
24:39
Really?
24:40
Yeah.
24:40
I just, you get into the back half of January and on, I just, I can't put a team that's under 500 in the top 20.
24:48
I just have a personal philosophy there and that's the way I've always gone with it.
24:54
And you know, everyone has their own way of looking at it.
24:59
So, I have no complaints about anything, but I just think that looking at the totality of the season, they have to answer for that start that they had.
25:11
And that's still a big part of their overall makeup.
25:15
And now you can look at what they've done lately and that's been a lot better, but still they don't have any sweeps this season.
25:24
They don't have any full-on six-point sweeps.
25:29
And they're gonna need that to really make a charge in the pairwise to get into a top 14 spot.
25:36
And one thing we did add this week, we did add the pairwise in brackets there.
25:40
Veegs, Wisconsin 16, obviously a little outside of the zone they need to be.
25:46
And if they were to go higher, they would need to keep a 500 or better record unless they won the Big Ten tournament.
25:53
So they'll be there or not based off of that 500 record.
25:59
Yeah.
25:59
I mean, one thing with Wisconsin, they have all those ties and over time, you know, shootout losses and things like that, that kind of impact maybe your perspective of the Badgers team.
26:09
You know, their talented team, I think, for anyone to face right now, they had trouble scoring goals early.
26:15
They're getting better at that now.
26:17
And they've had some good wins the last couple of weeks.
26:19
You know, the one team on here that's had some struggles is Minnesota State.
26:23
And they looked like they were probably going to be an at-large team.
26:27
Yeah, they were moving up slowly and slowly.
26:29
And then they dropped games to Ferris in northern Michigan, who are 57 and 61 in the pairwise.
26:36
Those can be season crushers when you have losses like that.
26:40
And you know, it's a lot of uncertainty at the back half of this poll and at the back half of the pairwise.
26:47
And you got somebody like Augustana who could win the league just based on percentage, isn't it?
26:53
Yeah, because they couldn't get out of those scheduling agreements that they had to sign when they didn't have a conference.
26:58
And so, you know, they wanted to get led into the league and the league said, sure, we'll make it work.
27:04
And I know there's a couple of Minnesota state fans who are unhappy with how that's looking right now.
27:09
But credit to Augustana for getting some good wins and putting together a program pretty quickly.
27:15
And you know, kind of mentioned that's happened the last couple of weeks as well as the St.
27:19
Thomas did lose an extra year that they have to wait to be eligible as is not true.
27:27
Correct.
27:28
Next year is their first.
27:30
Yeah, first of full time Division one program status.
27:35
Yes.
27:37
I've hear little birds saying they're looking at a lot of major junior players to make that leap as quickly as possible.
27:44
When did they go in the NCHC?
27:45
Is that the same or two years?
27:49
Are they one more year in the CCHA?
27:51
I think it's one more year in the CCHA and there was some debate whether or not they get let in early.
27:56
As Brad Schlossman was pressing everybody at NCHC media day on that issue.
28:05
Since we no longer had to talk about Arizona State making the league.
28:09
So we had to have a new topic.
28:11
I guess so.
28:12
But Vegoe puts it up there every week or on Monday or so.
28:17
He puts this new pulse.
28:18
Make sure you check it out there.
28:21
Just some of the new things we're doing this year.
28:23
I've been spending a lot of time.
28:25
Geez, we had a server issue last week right before the big series.
28:30
Got it turned on in about 24 hours to a new site, running faster, making some other changes.
28:35
So it's been very, very busy.
28:38
Let's say the least.
28:41
And you've been crazy busy this year, Vegs, with so much of youth hockey and everything, haven't you?
28:48
Yeah, a lot of youth hockey.
28:50
My kids, my Peewee team got to do a Minnesota Wildview Spotlight game earlier in the year, which was a big surprise.
28:56
And this weekend, we get to do a Mayor's Cup game with a Minneapolis team against the St.
29:02
Paul team.
29:03
We'll have Mayor Carter, Mayor Fry there.
29:05
We'll have two Hobie Baker guest coaches for the game.
29:08
So that'll be fun.
29:09
It's kind of a kickoff for the World Junior tournament put on by the team that's going to be helping run that next year when it comes to Mariucci and Excel and Tria.
29:22
You missed a fun Friday night at Hockey Day with the alumni and College Hockey alums playing off against each other.
29:30
I think Minnesota would have liked to have taken maybe, maybe the college team should have had a little bit older players, because most of their guys were from the 2000s and before.
29:41
Whereas, whereas Minnesota did have some, I mean, Brian Bonnen who played, Mike Crowley played.
29:49
They look great.
29:50
Jeez, I see Brian Bonnen skating out there.
29:52
I look at the video I took and I just, I don't even have to see his number or anything.
29:56
You could just tell by the way he skates.
29:58
It's just something you can't forget.
30:00
But it was a fun night.
30:03
Did Bonnen circle the offensive zone a couple of times with everybody in the crowd yelling, shoot?
30:11
I don't know if he did that, but it was fun because I was shooting from the bench right there.
30:18
It was just a blast to see all these guys together.
30:22
And our guy Eric Sherhorn in goal, a little rough time.
30:27
I think it's the first half of the game.
30:29
There were no goals scored by either team.
30:33
And then I think the goalies switched.
30:35
You know, Stalag came out, Patterson came out, and then also there was a score fast on both sides.
30:40
So, but, you know, Parisi was playing there for the college All-Stars.
30:46
And he's obviously, some of these guys are not far from the NHL.
30:50
Goligoski was just playing.
30:53
You know, you had, like I said, Parisi had just been playing.
30:56
So some were not that old, Vakes.
31:01
Yeah, I heard Ben Gordon was sad to miss the game because he was in East Lansing, but he got good reports from Paul Martin on everybody's play.
31:11
And, you know, there may be some players being thrown under the bus in the alumni text thread.
31:17
But Thomas Vanek showed that he still has it.
31:20
You know, he's out there coaching still water frequently so he can still shoot the puck.
31:25
I heard he got a hat trick.
31:26
He did get a hat trick.
31:29
All three of them were just these quick snipes, upper corner.
31:32
I don't think it was like, you know, 2002 or 2003 again, Veegs.
31:38
I could not believe it.
31:39
Just effortless upper corner.
31:42
You know, you saw some of the other guys trying to shoot for corners and they just weren't close.
31:46
But Mr.
31:47
Vanek still has quite the shot.
31:50
I bet he's still putting up four or five hundred pucks a week.
31:53
So he's got the new technology, you know, those surgery shots.
31:58
Well, that's what, well, that's why Angel says why Johnny Paul won all his face-offs back in the day.
32:05
He was the only one using the synergy, so who knows?
32:10
Pretty good.
32:11
They all got the good tech now.
32:12
I'd love to see an alumni game between, you know, the Badgers and the Gophers.
32:18
I feel like they did one of those a few years back in Hudson, maybe.
32:22
You know, because it's just these guys, they're not hitting each other.
32:26
They're just having so much fun, so much camaraderie.
32:32
And like I said, someone could still really play.
32:34
Yeah.
32:35
I remember Matt Dolman was in that one.
32:37
I think Tom Sagasore had a hand in it.
32:40
I don't know if he was still playing or not, but yeah, there were some guys.
32:43
I don't know if it was straight Badgers versus Gophers or if it was just a mix of different former players, different sides.
32:51
But I know it's happened.
32:53
Yeah.
32:54
The college all-stars, I would say, were coached by Mr.
32:57
John Harrington and former Mankato coach, Troy Judding.
33:01
I had not seen him in forever, Todd.
33:05
So I went to Cabela's last week and I thought of Jutz.
33:10
Why is that?
33:10
I honestly, actually, I thought of Shane Frederick.
33:16
Because that was one of his great stories, is that on the road, Jutz calls hotel room and says, and I can't do the voices as well as Freddie can, but Freddie, let's go to Cabela's because he had the car.
33:31
He had a car on the road and I don't know where they were, but there was a Cabela's there.
33:37
And sometimes you just got to go to Cabela's, man.
33:41
Yeah, it was one right across the highway from me, so it's pretty easy.
33:48
Yeah, when I was in for like a hockey tournament weekend, one of the things to do is like, should we go see a movie?
33:55
What store can we go to and just run around for an hour or two?
33:58
And Cabela's would be a great spot when you're on the road and just looking for something to do.
34:02
So I totally get it.
34:05
All right.
34:06
Well let's get more sponsors here in Veegs.
34:10
We need to talk about Cub and boy, you are at Cub all the time in your neighborhood.
34:16
Yep.
34:16
And every time you got a party or you got a meal that you got to put something together, Cub is your go-to place.
34:21
They're all over the neighborhood.
34:22
They're a Minnesota company.
34:24
They support, you know, Gopher Sports.
34:26
They support PullTab Sports and GopherPuckLive.
34:29
And as you get ready for your Super Bowl party, if you want to see the Chiefs and Taylor Swift and the Eagles, make sure you go to Cub.
34:36
You know, you can get your Jimmy's dill dip for your veggie trays.
34:40
You need hot dogs, burgers, brats, cold cuts, whatever you need.
34:44
Cub Foods is your place.
34:45
And while you're there, a lot of them have liquor stores now to get your beer, wine, liquor, THC products, whatever you need.
34:53
Check them out, cub.com.
34:55
And of course, we've got State 1981, Dreams of a Dynasty.
34:59
And a quick URL there, gopherpucklive.com/1981willbring you right to their Amazon listing, Veegs.
35:08
Yeah, Mark Figuer has all these great dynasties for 35 years of the high school tournament.
35:14
And he writes this one from the South St.
35:16
Paul Packer perspective on their 21st tournament appearance, trying to get that first title.
35:22
Side note, they're still looking for one in real life.
35:24
It's a fun retelling from that viewpoint.
35:27
You know, we're getting to that point of the year where, you know, high school teams are getting ready for sections.
35:32
You know, this might get you in the mood.
35:33
Check it out on our link on gopherpucklive.com/1981.
35:38
Of course, we thank those two for sponsoring the GPL Podcast.
35:42
I saw a comment here from Mote Taylor Kearns.
35:46
Jupe was fanboying Mike Crowley.
35:48
Yes, I was.
35:51
I got to speak to him for a little bit.
35:53
It was the coolest thing ever because I never met him.
35:55
And, you know, all the 20, almost 30 years of him being my favorite all time gopher.
36:01
So, yes, it was very cool.
36:04
So, oh, you know, all else is there.
36:07
Jim Jim was says it was a fun night.
36:09
He was on the bench right next to me the entire night.
36:12
It was a blast.
36:14
And of course, Jim's got another one.
36:16
I think you were still water.
36:19
Yeah, he's right.
36:20
Now that I think of it now.
36:22
Yep.
36:23
That's Jimmy.
36:24
Jimmy was happy because he's like, oh, I'll be able to watch the show tonight.
36:26
I'm like, yeah, we're earlier tonight.
36:28
He's like even better.
36:29
So it's up now.
36:30
We're not too late for Jimmy.
36:33
Veegs, the Badgers are coming to town this weekend and this is not going to be easy in any way for the Gophers.
36:44
No, and not the kind of struggles that the Gophers are having right now.
36:48
Playing a Mike Hastings coach team is not a great recipe for that kind of situation.
36:54
You know, if they don't get good goaltending and they're bad in the faceoff circle, this is a weekend where Wisconsin could take advantage and maybe kick Minnesota while they're down.
37:05
Yeah, I'm a little nervous about the Gophers.
37:08
Right now, they had a bunch of guys who are dealing with illnesses and now some injuries back at Hendrickson.
37:14
August Faloon re-injured themselves this past weekend.
37:18
I know Hendrickson was skating this week, but Faloon was not when I was there at practice.
37:24
So a little bit of an unknown.
37:25
And when you've got guys that are, you know, not feeling well, a little sick, it's like that battle level just drops a little bit.
37:34
And Wally Shaver said on the flight home from East Lansing, it was like a chorus of coughing on the flight.
37:41
So it's just something they're dealing with.
37:43
I know a lot of teams in college hockey are dealing with the same thing.
37:46
It just seems to be impacting Minnesota a little bit more than even their injury struggles in the first half of the year.
37:53
Better now than in March, Veegs.
37:56
That's what I told Wally.
37:57
I was like, you know, on the silver lining, maybe they get through this illness now and in a month, you know, they're totally past it and they don't have to worry about it coming back.
38:06
You just hope they don't get another bug going through the team.
38:10
Yeah.
38:11
And Todd, it sounds like you're not sure if you're going to make it here this weekend.
38:15
Hoping to not going to be having the expenses covered.
38:21
So we're working on some things.
38:25
I'm going to try.
38:26
Got any relatives up here you can hang with?
38:28
You can stay with the eggs.
38:31
I've got a spot, Todd, if you need one.
38:34
Yeah, we'll talk.
38:34
I've got some youth hockey on the weekend, but, you know, you come down to Tria and check it out as well between games.
38:41
Cover the games, you cover the games.
38:46
Get ready for a little junior coverage.
38:48
Yes.
38:48
Oh, boy.
38:50
So Todd, yes, Badgers only have three regulation losses, seven overtime slash shootouts.
39:00
You spoke early in the season they could not score.
39:04
How have things changed in your point of view?
39:11
More people have found the way that they need to play, I think, is really what it's come down to.
39:17
Quinn Finley has been there the whole time.
39:19
He's pouring in goals like they need him to.
39:23
Their first line has been really good, but they've been pretty good the whole season, even in that first 10 games.
39:29
It's the next few guys that have started contributing.
39:33
They're getting more lately from Christian Fitzgerald, who is playing center even though he probably should be playing a wing.
39:38
They'd really rather have him on the wing, but they just don't have the depth at center to put anyone else in there.
39:48
Tyson Dick had a really good game on Saturday, maybe his best game of the season, a goal and an assist and created a bunch of chances.
39:57
Simon Tassi struggled with injury his first half of the season.
40:00
He's finally feeling healthy to a point where he can do what he wants to do, both in kind of being a pest sometimes and in getting the puck to the net.
40:16
They went 20-some games with only having two goals out of their defensemen, and both of those were those overtime goals I was talking about earlier from Daniel Osh.
40:25
Now they've got a few guys that have all had one.
40:29
And it's not much, but it's something.
40:32
And so that's where it's changed a little bit.
40:35
It's exactly that, not much, but something.
40:37
And when they're able to limit the other team's chances, a lot of times that's been enough, at least enough to get to overtime, which is the way it's gone a lot.
40:47
A lot of the times they've been in a lot of close games in the third period, been able to get a lot of them to overtime and win a few of them at the end.
40:55
So that's the change from the first month of the season, is that there's more they can depend on, not necessarily being sure of who it's going to be game to game, other than that first line, but someone's come through.
41:11
And one of those overtime losses was to the Gophers Viges.
41:17
Snuggerud setting Zeamer up in a mid-air, kind of bumped into the back of the net to win it in overtime.
41:24
Back earlier this season, Snuggerud has been playing very well lately.
41:35
He is one of the bright spots in some of the bad games.
41:40
But I am concerned about Mr.
41:42
Lamb.
41:43
He has been quiet for a while and he needs to kind of wake up.
41:48
I think he does.
41:49
But one thing about Lamb is sometimes I don't know if he's so much of a play driver kind of person right now.
41:57
He's looked his best on the power play at winning second chances, at winning out of chaos in front of the net.
42:04
I just haven't seen the Gophers creating that kind of situation for him the last couple of weeks.
42:11
And so he's not able to flash like he was when he was producing for the Gophers.
42:16
And so I do think that's where he's going to generate his offense.
42:20
What I'm looking for out of Minnesota, what I'm a little worried about right now is their defense.
42:26
The first half of the year, we saw a lot of production from Renzel, Chesley, Middlestadt, Thomas, Kester.
42:34
They were all chipping in very consistently, always looking dangerous and closing down plays quickly in their own end.
42:41
They've regressed a little bit over the year.
42:44
Thomas is coming back from his injury, so you can't expect him to be at full speed.
42:49
But the compete and consistency from Renzel and Chesley, I don't know if it's been there the last couple of weeks.
42:57
You know, they've been a little bit of roller coasters on the ice, and that's what they're going to need to be successful.
43:02
They need those players playing at a high level.
43:06
I've been reading, we've been getting chirped live by Pat McAleady on Twitter.
43:10
Veegs, he's a little bitter that we went early this week, but he did tell us that Fox 9 is doing an hour pregame Friday night for the big Gopher Badger matchup.
43:25
So does that make him feel better, you think?
43:27
Is that going to work on him, Veegs?
43:30
Maybe, maybe we're hyping him up.
43:31
He'll appreciate that.
43:32
You know, Pat needs very little hype because he's on all the media all the time.
43:36
Radio, TV, social media, cable, satellite streaming on our show.
43:41
And we we are lucky to have him.
43:43
So it'll be fun to hear his thoughts for the whole hour.
43:47
One thing I'll also be looking for this weekend, does Sully Air get two games?
43:51
Oh, yes, we're kind of at that point of the year where, you know, Airy got his shot to get two games.
43:59
This would feel like a possible weekend where Sully Air maybe would get his chance.
44:05
Now, that being said, I did not think either goalie looked especially good against Michigan State.
44:11
I think that was maybe partially the product in front of them.
44:15
But Airy did not have a good game on Friday.
44:18
It just wasn't.
44:19
There was no defense of that.
44:20
So.
44:22
Well, there was no defense of either of them on Friday night.
44:25
And the guys playing in front of them.
44:27
When you give it up nine goals, it's a complete cluster.
44:34
It was interesting.
44:35
Jack Ramsey broke down some of the PK, save percentage numbers for us.
44:39
I kind of dug in to some instat stuff this week with Josh Kreiser, one of our Gopher friends out west in Portland.
44:48
He was showing me some of the things.
44:50
And one of the things I noticed was how easily Aerie sometimes will lose his crease on net battles and basically give empty net putbacks.
45:00
And that's something that Suleyair isn't doing.
45:03
He's very athletic and he's very active in the crease, but he's able to find his posts again and find his ice and protect the net a little bit better than Aerie.
45:13
Aerie looks like he gets in these scrambles and he's just not in position where the puck can't even hit him because he's so far out of the way trying to find it.
45:22
So I think that's one thing to look for in maybe in a series like this where seasons, they're not teetering, but this is a key moment of the season, I think, for both teams.
45:33
Maybe Suleyair gives you a little bit more of a veteran presence for both games with big crowds expected at Mary G2.
45:39
Yes, Saturday's already sold out.
45:41
You talk about that stat that Jack sent us.
45:44
It was a penalty kill stat.
45:48
This was before the games this past weekend, but he says that the Gophers are 23 of 26 on killing penalties, 88.5% when Suleyair is in net.
46:03
They're 23 of 34 at 67.6%.
46:10
The safe percentages I saw were Suleyair's penalty kill save percentage is like in the 90s, like 90, 91, and Aries save percentage on the penalty kill is like 78%.
46:22
Okay.
46:24
So that's, that's a pretty significant difference in your goal tending.
46:27
And you know, some of it is the structure in front of them, but a lot of it is those scrambles in front of the net where the goalie loses his ice.
46:35
How's Wisconsin goal tending there, Todd?
46:37
Rough weekend last weekend.
46:40
We know what that's like.
46:41
Yeah, right.
46:43
Shared experiences here.
46:44
Tommy Scarifoni started Friday, gave up four on 14 and got pulled.
46:50
That's the game they came back to win five, four.
46:55
And William Gramma came in and stopped all 80 faced the rest of the way.
47:00
And Michigan really did not have much of a push after they scored their fourth.
47:05
And so that was part of the reason why.
47:07
That sounds familiar.
47:08
Yeah.
47:10
Wisconsin was able to get back in that.
47:13
And then they gave Gramma the start on Saturday, and he gave up three on four.
47:20
So and got pulled and the Scarifoni went back in.
47:26
It it and that has not happened a lot since Hastings has been here.
47:34
I felt like we saw that a lot, that kind of the golden carousel in the Grado years.
47:41
I mean, really year to year and in game a lot, because it felt like there were 30 different goalies in Grado seven years.
47:50
And it just was a kind of a revolving door at some point.
47:54
But the what happened last weekend, I think was, they wanted to say it was an aberration.
48:05
It was not, this is not something we're expecting to happen again.
48:10
But you've got to go out and prove that.
48:13
And Tommy Scarfone has been a lot better the second half of the season than the first half of the season.
48:20
But I'm interested to see whether, you know, a couple of bad bounces.
48:24
And there were a few of those kind of, you know, reorient his thinking or get him off his game at all.
48:32
And they need them.
48:33
They need him.
48:34
They need the defense to be strong.
48:35
That's, you know, what my casing teams are always built around, is being strong in the defensive zone and building out of that.
48:45
Then, when you're playing like you feel like you need to be perfect in the D-Zone, that makes it hard.
48:53
And that was really the trouble the first part of the season, right, is that they weren't scoring enough.
48:57
They knew they needed to be almost perfect.
49:00
And that's not a good way of playing.
49:01
You're not playing very free.
49:03
You're not feeling like you're locked, locking the chains on.
49:08
And there's been a lot less of that lately from the Badgers.
49:13
So that's, I feel like that's one of the things they have to emphasize to themselves is that we've seen how this works and we've done it against really good teams.
49:28
And yeah, it hasn't always ended up with the win, but the process of it has led to some pretty good things.
49:37
I'm taking a look at a couple of comments.
49:39
You mentioned Josh there.
49:41
He's thanking you for the shout out, Veegs.
49:44
And then of course, we got Tim Hapke, which has got probably a good question for Todd here.
49:48
Is Hastings still closing practice to reporters?
49:52
That is correct.
49:55
Oh, he thinks you're going to snitch and tell all the secrets, isn't he?
50:01
I got a big mouth.
50:08
All right, Todd, what happens this weekend?
50:12
What are your predictions?
50:14
What do you want to see?
50:16
I want to see the game in person.
50:18
I want to see the game in person.
50:20
All right.
50:20
That's that starts that.
50:22
I think so even when things were going terribly for Wisconsin early in the season, they still got some points.
50:30
They have gotten at least one point out of every series so far.
50:33
And that's not easy to do.
50:38
Especially when you're having as rough a ride as they did early.
50:43
However, they've also not gotten six points as I mentioned earlier.
50:47
Every series has been either one, four or five points, I think.
50:53
There might be a three in there.
50:54
I'm not completely sure.
50:55
But so I don't think they end up with no points this weekend.
51:00
But I have a real hard time saying that they're going to get a straight up win too.
51:07
I feel like they're maybe getting an overtime win.
51:12
Maybe a shootout win.
51:14
It seems like maybe more likely the boundary is so good here, right?
51:19
Badgers can't win an overtime game.
51:21
Gophers can't win a shootout game.
51:23
That's how it ends up.
51:25
But I think that's that that would be I mean, they'd love to get a win.
51:32
They'd be over the moon with two wins like they were last year.
51:36
But I think they need something out of this weekend.
51:39
I think they get a little bit of something.
51:42
For me, I'm thinking it's a three point weekend.
51:45
So a split right down the middle.
51:47
Veegs, I don't know what team is going to show up for Minnesota.
51:52
You know, we've had it all season.
51:54
That's the Minotaur team where we don't want to see that's that's the team.
51:58
And then they're like, oh, this is the worst team ever.
52:00
Fire Mots go.
52:02
It's been so up and down until they kind of prove something to me.
52:05
I'm picking to split.
52:07
What do you think?
52:09
It definitely feels like the Gophers inconsistency will keep going this weekend.
52:15
I actually think maybe their shootout luck will change if they get into it after the practice I saw Wednesday.
52:24
You never know.
52:26
But I think five points for Minnesota this weekend.
52:29
Oh, getting that overtime shootout win on Saturday.
52:38
That's a prediction.
52:41
That's a prediction.
52:42
I like it.
52:44
I like it.
52:45
But this very easily could swing the other way.
52:48
You never know.
52:49
I mean, six guys were sick last week for Minnesota, at least maybe a few less this week for Minnesota, but still important players are coughing and hacking out there.
52:59
So we'll see.
53:01
This is kind of a big stretch, I think, for Wisconsin after Minnesota.
53:03
They get Penn State, Ohio State, Notre Dame, and you could kind of consider that easier games.
53:10
Yeah.
53:10
I mean, they have, we were looking at this last week comparing them to Michigan, and they have an easier road through the last few weeks.
53:20
If you're thinking about who gets the last home ice spot, and it's tough to look much past that because it felt like one and two were in a chase for one and two, and then Ohio State was in its own level and third, and then it was fourth, fifth for Wisconsin to Michigan.
53:40
But yeah, there's a lot to be decided in those few spots now.
53:50
All right, either of you have anything else for this week?
53:54
Figs?
53:54
Todd?
53:57
I'm just really interested to see if Sully Air is the first goalie out on Friday.
54:01
I think that's the biggest thing for the weekend and see how he handles it for Minnesota.
54:07
He likes to perform, likes to put on a show, likes to be active.
54:13
Wisconsin likes to dump pucks.
54:15
This could be an opportunity for him to handle a puck behind his own goal line and maybe have a little bit of flair.
54:21
Could be a fun hockey to watch for Minnesota fans.
54:26
I will say we had Edina's Ben Dexheimer in the media room this week and he threw some spice into our usually pretty quiet press conferences.
54:37
Really?
54:38
Talking about hatred, talking about wanting to be the bad guys.
54:41
And so I'll have that in the story on our website, madison.com, badgerextra.com, Thursday morning.
54:49
Let's go.
54:50
Come on.
54:51
And you know, it needs some blood on this.
54:53
It feels like that's been quiet for a while.
54:57
That used to be the thing.
54:59
Everyone, at least on the Wisconsin side, talked about that because they didn't really have a whole lot else to talk about for a lot of years, other than that hatred and not wanting to lose again.
55:12
It's moderated a little bit in the last decade, I guess, but it is a little bit, like I said, a little bit spicy or a little bit nicer to have some passion going into things.
55:26
And you talk about how much they love having, you know, the student section going to be there an hour and a half early and right on their backs and warmups and how much they love that.
55:35
And they, you know, the Coles Center was great on Saturday night.
55:40
The announcement of 13,000, the student section was just about full up to the top of the third level.
55:46
And it was just like that energy is, you know, for a lot of for a pretty good amount of time at Wisconsin wasn't there.
55:55
And so it's good to have that back.
55:57
It's good to go into these buildings where you know it's going to be there when it's a border battle.
56:02
That's fun.
56:03
It's that's that's what I love to see.
56:05
Todd, do you get the sense there's going to be a good travel crowd from Wisconsin for the series?
56:10
You know, Minnesota sometimes their sell outs haven't happened early in the week this year.
56:15
And so when I see that kind of happened for a weekend like this, where they announced the sell out on like Monday, that to me tells me visiting fans are going to be coming to the series.
56:26
Yeah, it could be.
56:26
I don't know that I haven't like gotten any sense from people that like, oh, this, you know, something we've got to go to is, especially after, you know, basically a month after the the Wrigley thing that everyone put a lot, you know, if you're going to go away for a game, that might have been the one.
56:43
Right.
56:45
But easy trip, easy enough trip here.
56:49
Not as easy as Chicago, but but still pretty easy.
56:52
And yeah, I I know I'm not the only one that loves going into that atmosphere at Marriotchi and seeing, you know, even as someone who's just there once once a year, kind of experiencing that as a, you know, just a person who's been around College Hockey this long, knowing that that atmosphere is one of the purest in our game and accepting it and loving it for knowing that it was kind of down for years and it's back again.
57:23
And it's one of the coolest things to hear when that building roars.
57:29
And we had a couple of those at the Cole Center last weekend, and it was fun to hear that.
57:34
And it's fun to go on the road, Todd.
57:37
It really is.
57:38
It's fun to go into somebody else's bar.
57:40
You know, so many times, you know, I've been to the Ralph, I've been to the Cole, or St.
57:45
Cloud and Duluth.
57:47
When those places are rocking, Veegs, it's a good time.
57:51
It sure is.
57:52
It should be a great weekend.
57:54
Be aware, women's team plays Ohio State on Friday.
57:57
So we got two games at once.
57:59
So get there early if you can.
58:01
Saturday, the women's are at two.
58:03
Yep.
58:04
There's a lot of events going on Saturday, too.
58:06
So plan ahead.
58:07
And I've heard a rumor that they might be doing something for Frank Mazzocco Friday night.
58:16
I haven't confirmed it.
58:18
I should probably do that.
58:19
But I wanted to get it out there just in case.
58:22
You're starting to make my decision here for me, Jupe.
58:24
Oh, wow.
58:26
I need to be there.
58:27
Yeah, you might need to be there to see Frank.
