Frank Mazzocco returns to the TV booth
For two nights only!
The former long time TV play-by-play voice for Gopher hockey, Frank Mazzocco, will return to the TV booth for the Michigan Tech series October 3rd & 4th on Fox 9/Fox 9+. With Jim Rich heading to Europe to cover the Vikings for Fox 9 during the Michigan Tech series, they needed someone to fill in for his absense. So this is a one time fill in for Rich.
This will be Frank’s first TV play-by-play gig since he was let go by Fox Sports North back in March 2010 after being the main TV voice of Gopher Hockey since the late 1980’s. Frank has been the radio analyst on the Gopher radio call since 2011 with Wally Shaver handling the play-by-play.
Frank will be joined by Pat Micheletti in the booth.
