State College, PA – After an uncharacteristically disappointing regular season, the Minnesota Gophers were hoping to turn the page in the one-and-done Big Ten playoffs.

Ann Arbor, MI – In a season of clouds, the Minnesota Gophers continue to show glimpses of potential.

Thursday night at Yost Ice Arena was a major silver lining.

Behind timely special teams, committed team defense, and another steady Luca Di Pasquo performance in net, Minnesota (11-19-2 Overall, 7-13-1 B1G, 25 Pts) knocked off the No. 2-ranked Michigan Wolverines (25-7-1, 16-6-1, 46) 4-2 at Yost Ice Arena. The win marked one of the Gophers’ most complete road efforts of the season and likely put the nail in the coffin of Michigan’s hopes of winning its first Big Ten regular season crown.

Minneapolis, MN – Coming off a sweep of rival Wisconsin, it felt like the Minnesota Gophers might finally be turning a corner as the calendar flipped to February, showing consistently strong play in their first wins since early December.

After a loooooooong January, the Minnesota Golden Gophers (10-16-1 Overall, 6-10-0 B1G) finally found their footing – and did it in emphatic fashion – snapping a seven-game winless streak with a convincing home sweep of rival Wisconsin (15-9-2, 8-8-0) over the weekend. Minnesota took care of business with a 4–1 win on Friday night before erupting for an 8–goal outburst in Saturday’s series finale, delivering a much-needed confidence boost as the calendar turns toward February.

East Lansing, MI – First, some history: Minnesota beat Ohio State on December 4th to improve their record to 8-9-1. After a difficult start to the season, the Gophers had a chance on December 5th to get back to .500 with a win in the final game before the winter break.

State College, PA – Coming off a slow start to the 25-26 season, the Gophers were hoping to turn the season around as the calendar turned the page to 2026.

Javon Moore scored with 35 seconds remaining in overtime and Luca Di Pasquo made 47 saves on 52 shots, as the Minnesota Gophers (7-9-1 Overall) won a 6-5 thriller over #4 Denver University (9-4-1) Saturday night.

Minneapolis, MN – After going down two goals early, the Gophers got to work, and played a full 60 minute game for perhaps the first time all season.
