Ahhhhh... Give me a bit. I am pretty sure there is a setting somewhere that locks users out from making changes until they have a certain number of posts. I need to find it and change it. We cannot have that setting active because we all went to zero after we migrated in April.

Try now...

The minimum post count to make a change to your profile was 3. So right after you posted, you were good to go. But I changed the minimum to 0 now.

I am logged in and can respond to any thread except the Gopher Football thread.  When I click on that thread it says I must log in or register.  And the last post I see is from a day or two ago.  Yet I see on the right side of the portal page that others are responding to that thread.

What is happening?

I was messing around with some permissions this afternoon and yours had some strange settings. Let me see what is up.

@jupiter Thank you.  Another oddity.  I keep trying to change my avatar, but no matter what file I use it keeps reverting back to the stupid first avatar I uploaded to test the KB limit.

I cleared your cache...  Working now?

I can probably fix your avatar and make it whatever you want.

I gotta be honest... I am completely baffled by this.

UofM Smiley/Icons for the board

I have added UofM centric emoticons that you will find in the secondary smilies area in the bottom right corner where you will the smiley icon next to the Giphy icon. Then you can just click the "UofM" tab at the bottom.

See attached image for reference. I will add more as I have time. Any others that you would like to see in there?

I will never forget that game or that moment...I had never been that excited at a sporting event before!

@jupiter I was able to read the thread on my phone today.  I’ll be curious if I can read it from my PC later.  I had the issue earlier while on the PC.

Sounds like a computer cache/cookie type of thing on your PC. Maybe clear out your history?

Could we get an  that is about the size of the surrounding text? We did on the old board and I liked to use those on occasion.

I added a S all version tab. The add on for this forced me in to another S all tab.

I just did. I used a photo from my phone and it worked. When I used a photo from my laptop it didn't FWIW.

Managed to get @greyeagle new account linked to all of the 1140 posts.... and assign a new registration date vs today for his account as well.

AND.... removed the ability for moderators to delete anyone, even themselves.

The best part is that he initially re-registered as "Greyeagele".... Had to delete it and have him start over. He's having a great week so far!

In all seriousness, glad I did it to myself and not someone else.  I was trying to upload a banner picture from my phone and when I tried to go back to my profile (I think) the delete user button was close to the profile gear icon.  The rest is fat finger by a moron history.  I needed this!

Luckily Jup was able to "Six Million Dollar Man" me back to existence and (more importantly!!) remove the delete icon & access from me!

PORTAL RECENT ACTIVITY:

I have been modifying the code to get a better "Recent" topics on the portal page. So it looks different.

Main Topic Line: Clicking the main topic link will bring you to the most recent UNREAD post. You can see the "NEW" icon for when there is something you have not read. The avatar is based on WHO created the original topic.

By Line: Shows who created the original topic and when. Just after that it shows how long ago the most recent post is.

Recent Post Line: This gives you some copy from the most recent post and tells you who posted it and when. Note that I can have more than one of these lines. So if you want more, just let me know and I can change it real quick.

Pagination at the Bottom: This shows you how many pages are active right now. If you go to another page, you will leave the portal and go to the "Recent Topics" page. But it will populate based on where you left off. I cannot get multiple pages to load on the portal itself, the code was taken from the Recent Topics code and I can only do so much.

Right now this change to the portal can be tweaked. I can show more topics and more replies within each. Just let me know.

If a user posted a url or a tweet as the first part of their post, that info will not show in the copy. it will just say the topic title instead.

I like it, though for me I haven't been using the Portal page like I did on the old website.  I click on the recent topics sidebar to go to my next unread post in a different thread rather than going back to the Portal.  I do like how it looks and works compared to how it was before though.

Quick note... If you visited while I was testing this out, you may see a bunch of extra items that do not belong. I was still tweaking the CSS to hide certain things. So if you clear your cache you should be good to go.

Right now this change to the portal can be tweaked. I can show more topics and more replies within each. Just let me know.

I made it to how the 3 most recent posts in the Recent Post Line area so you can get an idea how it would look.

Is the portal going to keep showing the topic with 3 replies below?  I honestly preferred the very last version without all the extras.
