Usually Lucia and the players talk to the media after a 10 minute cool down period when the game is over. So I won't get much of a chance to do it this season, but I may give it a try... I would really like to use it during the Final Five. I would love to broadcast things from the X between games.... Like talking live with DHG at the X when his team lost the previous weekend. Or hitting up the Wooger for a quick sound byte. Could be fun.

I love the idea. Like I mentioned, I pretty much always listen to post-game on KSTP, so I wasn't sure how that would work for tuning in. Final 5 broadcasts will work nicely though... you'll need to run at least one from Tailgating, I'm thinking

I just ran a live test with the MIXLR iPhone app. It worked very well. The sound quality was pretty darn good considering it was using my iPhone as a microphone. I did the test while my browser was on the Podcast page and the delay was only 5 seconds. So I am very encourage with this result. Now I just hope that the Verizon network gets a lot better at Mariucci or being able to do something like this will be all for nothing.

Did anyone just hear my test audio on the Portal page? I was trying out the broadcast via iPhone while listening to the hockey tourney on the radio. So you may have heard Hermantown win the game.

I heard it. Was wondering where that came from.

That was streamed with my iPhone. From my car. On the Verizon network.

I think this like audio streaming is going to work..... This could be fun.

I'd have to figure out how to get it working on my phone... and I'd be talking from Green Mill at the hotel just down the road from the arena...

Running a test this afternoon with audio... You should be able to hear UofM Marching Band music on the Portal page.

If you don't want to hear it, there is a volume adjuster that looks like a little black bar in the MIXLR Box at the bottom of the page.

LULZ!!!! Saint Cloud getting beat first round would be epic. There's already going to be an asston of butthurt from Jan fans that you picked against them in the first round. My God, there isn't enough Midol on earth if they actually get beat in the first round again.

Enjoyed listening, I think this was the first time live for me. Appreciate all the effort you guys put into this!!

We'll be recording the 2013/14 season premiere podcast Tuesday night at around 9:45pm. If you want to listen live, I will have the Mixlr (pronounced Mixler) player available on the main portal page. You just need to click play to listen live. I have also made the player available on the mobile portal page as well. Same deal just need to scroll down a bit on start listening.

We plan to take your questions live via twitter, but if you want to leave a question here go right ahead an we will try to get to it.

A way for YOU to participate on the GPL Podcast….

I have setup a Google Voice phone number for GPL. The idea being that you can call that number and leave us a voicemail. In that voicemail you can ask us a question. Suggest a topic for us to talk about. Or even give us feedback…. I would then include those messages in the podcast itself. So your actual recording will be put on the air and we would then discuss what you wanted us to talk about. By using Google voice, it also may allow us to even do like call in shows in the future as well. Almost like a fan line type of show after games. We'll see.

So give us a call and leave us a message, maybe it will make it on to the air? You can call with your phone or through Google Voice on your computer or via mobile app.

I would have to test the actual logistics of it to see if I could pull it off on my computer. But that could be a fun thing to do.

I loved the podcast after the Saturday game at BSU last year. Didn't listen to it up there, but had a blast when I got home on Sunday and pulled that up, all the reactions from the JBSU fans just made my day.

The version that's available on GPL's podcast page right now is a replay of last week, both the version to play through the page, and saving the file.

Works fine for me.

I've got the same issue as Steve. I'll try again at home with Firefox instead of IE here at work in case that makes a difference.

The auto player up top loads 53, the link below in the list is bad and loads 52.

Haha, Dubay was a great guest. The comment about the show "Jail" that people in jail like to watch was the highlight.

One comment--yes, Jeff, it's the internet, but I doubt you'd have Continental Diamonds as a sponsor for long if you equate an underperforming athlete to a Special Olympian. You may be your own boss, but just like any boss, yours might want to keep revenue coming in. If not, more power to you.

Sorry about no podcast this week. Just too much going on around the house/family to make it happen. But Vegoe had a great idea that if the team sweeps this weekend we can do a live post game show like we did last year. So that could be a ton of fun.

There is nothing more entertaining than broadcasting live when your smoke detector starts going off because your 10 year old decided to cook fish!!! Good times indeed!
