Unique visits up a lot again this year...
Washington state jumps from #10 to #2??? Knocking Illinois out of 2nd place after it was there for 7 years.
Had the most visits ever on 4/7 (beating a record from 2011) and #5 on 3/25.
Mobile now is 72% of all traffic.
Firefox and Edge/IE down even more.
I no longer get AWStats on a server level on the new server. So I only have numbers through December 12th. That stat will go away next year.
Another thing is that Google Analytics is forcing us to use their new version 4 come July. I have had it collecting data for a few years, but it really sucks compared to their current version. So getting these numbers next year will be problematic.

Interesting how the audience by state has changed. Interest has become far more national and less regional over time, especially recently. I wonder if that is because of the B1G's doing or whether it is a reaction to it.
This would be the fun part of behind the scenes for GPL. I love numbers and spreadsheets... lol!!!

Washington state seems quite odd. Do the Gophers have players drafted by Seattle? There's no B1G team there. Very interesting.

Do they get classified by a location and could they be the reason Washington is high on the list? Or do you have to be a registered user to be included in these numbers?
I'm 50% factual and 50% sarcastic. When you get to know me, you will know which is which.
Not sure how many regular visitors (vs regular posters) use VPNs, but I know I mostly show up from Chicago, with Kansas City as the main alternate.

Google knows what traffic are bots, so they do not get included in traffic numbers.

I added the top pages for 2022 to the Google Sheet. Getting the forum numbers are not easy since they are unique URL, but I think the numbers are fairly accurate on the aggregate total. We did have 3 message boards this year. (sorry)
The Transfer Portal was a huge addition this year and was very successful!

I was just looking at version 4 of Google Analytics and it says that Washington state was actually #7, not #2... What the hell?
EDIT: I just adjusted the numbers. it appears the newer Google Analytics 4 are more accurate.

It's getting to the point where I may not worry so much about desktop and how it looks. Even though most of my personal usage is still desktop.

Yeah, I don't see those last 2 options on Chrome in Android. When I am reading posts and I hit "Reply" (the button is there) nothing happens. I hit "Quote" and nothing happens. Not sure what is going on. Desktop site works just fine.
I buy cheap "Disposable" cell phones because I'm cheap and have no use for a $1,000 phone. So it is probably a me problem.

Just tested this out on my phone (Chrome on Android). If I'm logged in, the "Login" and "Register" options on the "Community" menu aren't there. If I manually log out, they do show up and let me log back in, so it sounds to me like if you're not seeing those options, it means you are logged in. Don't know why the quote/reply buttons work, they've always been good for me (when I'm logged in).

This is correct. If you are logged in, it doesn’t makes sense to show those links. Just like when you are logged in, the user menu shows up and the logout shows up.

I went back to look what was happening on Nov 5 of 2011 - it was a Saturday night home win completing a sweep of ND. It's interesting that it's the lone regular season occurrence from your first list. Also it's interesting that the 2007 post-season is the only other besides the current one in the top 10 of your other list.

Maybe it's a user like me that has multiple tabs open, but aren't necessarily ON a certain tab at any given time? Example: I'll open Facebook, and have the tab open, but I'm browsing some other tab, or watching Netflix, whatever, and occasionally check in with FB...
