Refs not calling anything against Warriors. What a SHOCK!

This is a solid ref crew so hopefully we won’t see anything too blatant

I admittedly do not watch the Wolves a ton, but for a team with their size it sure seems odd how little (at least in this half) scoring they have from inside.

Also the refs have been a bit one-sided the past handful of minutes.

Why is Ant complaining about an obvious foul when he’s up by 19? He needs to go to the Jordan school of working the refs, he was the master.

It’s a good thing we had a 20 point lead cause that finish was no bueno even with mostly starters still on the floor.

Ant played only 3 minutes in the 4th quarter and the team got sloppy.

The Wolves dominated the 3rd quarter out scoring Golden State 39-17. The game was tied at 68 with under 8 minutes to go in the 3rd quarter and then the Wolves went on 17-0 run.

The Wolves are now 10-3 on the road in the playoffs over the past two seasons the most wins in the NBA. 6-2 last year and 4-1 this year.

The Timberwolves are the ROAD WARRIORS with Ant and Randle play the parts of Hawk and Animal.

The T-Wolves went 17-4 over their last 21 regular season games and are now 7-2 in the playoffs so combined they are 24-6 over their last 30 games.

LOOK OUT!!!!

NBA you are dealing with a lethal pack of WOLVES!!!!

Twolves showing some killer instinct with Curry out of lineup, very non-MN like! 😂

Ability to hit 3’s & drive to the basketball aggressively, Ant currently stands alone! Even Dramon stipulated!

Tim Connolly moves as Wolves GM…Julius Randle thriving…Donte Ragu good off bench, KAT winning in Big Apple. Trade appears to have worked splendidly for 2 teams!

Rudy ugly offensively but protects the rim from drivers & rebounds on both ends. Helps thou having 23 year old SUPERSTAR to build around! (for Connolly ) 🤠

Curry unlikely for Game 5. Golden State is on a real slippery slope. They need Curry to beat the Wolves to win the series. Though bring him back too soon, and he tweaks the hammy again... he's done for the season. And Golden State still has to beat the Wolves.

Not nationally, yet. There has been chatter, in those particular regions.

That would be great locally.

Really would like the Wolves to close out tonight. I'm pretty sure they'll cover -10.5 win by 20 plus tonight. Should've won by 20 plus in Game 4, though the bench warmers made it interesting. And would be really nice for Denver to force a Game 7 with OKC. The Knicks can win their series tonight in Boston. Little surprise Boston is -4.5 without Tatnum.

We’ve been terrible at holding 4th quarter leads. I could easily see us up by 15+and winning by 7 or 8

When did the Wolves sign Dante Culpepper and Randy Moss?

Jaden McDaniels with a sweet full court pass to Julius Randle for the old fashion 3 point play (bucket, foul, and free throw).

Wolves lead 62-47 at half time.

Randle has 15 points on 6 of 9 shooting (4 of 4 on two pointers, 2 of 5 on three pointers)

Gobert has 11 points on 5 of 5 shooting

Conley has 11 points on 4 of 5 shooting (3 of 4 on three pointers)

Golden State traded for Jimmy Butler in early February and where the best defensive team in the NBA over the 3 months since the trade.

The Timberwolves in the last four games 117 points, 102 points, 117 points, and 121 points.

Randle in the last four games 24 points, 24 points, 31 points, and 29 points.

Draymond Green couldn't guard Randle and Golden State's number one ranked defense had NOOOOOOOOOOO answers for the Wolves offense.

Jimmy Butler had 17 points. Gobert had 17 points and Conley had 16 points.

Jimmy do you still think you are too good to play here?

Although it was a good decision after all you probably wouldn't be good enough to start on the Wolves team. 😉 😀

Wolves need to definitely tighten things up handling the ball, but it’s very encouraging they put the  BOOT to Warriors when Steph went down, that’s what good teams do.

I wish Steph would have been able to play more in this series.

Steph Curry is 37 years old, Jimmy Butler is 35 years old, and Draymond Green is 35 years old. The old timers weren't going to beat this pack of Wolves even if Curry would have been healthy.

The Wolves took out Luka and LeBron in 5 games and since the Golden State vs. Houston series went 7 games the Wolves had almost a week off between games (Wednesday April 30th to Tuesday May 6th).

The Wolves had an absolutely awful game one shooting after the long break going 5 for 29 (17%) on three points shots. They lost by 11 points. They could have won game one by shooting a lousy 9 for 29 (31%) on three pointers.

Curry is great on offense but he is a defensive liability. Teams game plan to attack him especially in playoff series where you have many games to exploit weaknesses. Memphis uses the term pigeon when describing the guys they attack and this includes Steph. The Wolves did it to Luka (who is a weak defender) in the first round.

The only way GS had a chance in this series is if Steph went on an obsolete heater for multiple games but hey we’ve seen that before

In my opinion, the Wolves can beat Denver but OKC is a bad matchup for us. Their bigs neutralize ours and it’s down to Ant and McDaniels

Shaq, Barkley, et. Al seem to think OKC is the best team in the league.

Barkley made an interesting observation about Ant that he gets a little too loose and unfocused when the team has a big lead. He thinks he needs to fix that and finish games in a more professional way.

post Tatum injury, they absolutely are (and likely were before). Their depth is unmatched and they have a star plus all star level secondary options and defend at an elite level. Best team doesn’t always win but thunder, wolves and pacers (in that order) are probably the best “teams” left in terms of how playoff basketball goes

I don't think its isolated to Ant.  The rate of turnovers and fouls have a direct correlation to the size of the Timberwolves's lead.

looked to me GS amped up their defense another level and was determined to go down with a fight until it was in their mind out of reach. I was a pleasantly surprised they gave in with over a minute left though. GS made a good push in the 4th but ran out of time fortunately. They definitely had some serious momentum going for a lot of that final quarter. Agree on the sloppy turnovers but I did think GS had something to do with that too.

The Wolves split 4 games vs. OKC this season.

OKC won the first game on New Years Eve by 8 points.

The other three games were played in February when Randle, Gobert, Conley, and DiVincenzo were all injured.

The Wolves won 2 of the 3 games by 15 points and by 3 points without them (Conley missed the game the Wolves won by 15 and played only 14 minutes in the game the Wolves won by 3 points). The game OKC won was by 7 points (Conley played 31 minutes). Randle, Gobert, and DiVincenzo missed all 3 games.

If we end up played OKC it will likely be a 6 or 7 game series but the Wolves have a really good chance. The T-Wolves are a tough match up for EVERYBODY because they can beat you in many ways.

Denver is giving OKC a very tough series. Denver was up 2 games to 1 with an 8 point lead (early in the 4th quarter) in game 4 at home. In game 5 at OKC Denver was up 8 points with under 8 minutes to go in the 4th quarter.

The Wolves swept the 4 games series (by 3 points, 29 points, by 20 points, and by 1 point) against Denver this season and have a 6 game winning streak (adds wins by 45 points and 8 points) going back to the playoffs last year where they eliminated them.

Kenny Smith last night said OKC or Denver would be a favorite against the Wolves. Denver the favorite over the Wolves. 🤣

In the five game series against the Lakers the Wolves had 10, 13, 11, 9, and 13 turnovers. The Lakers had the Wolves full attention so they kept their focus. The much lower turnovers is an good indication of that. Playing Golden State (without Curry) the Wolves got bored at times. In three of the last four games the Wolves had 20+ point leads which lead to some sloppy play.

Golden State's trapping defense (doubling teaming the ball handler between half court and the 3 point line) did cause some of the Wolves turnovers but it also lead to a lot of open/easy shots for the Wolves so in the end the strategy had very mixed results.

It is similar to a football team that blitzes a lot on defense it will cause the offense to give up more sacks but it will also result in more big plays for the offense (risk/reward).
