After the last 3 games it begs the question, how did the TWolves win games 1 & 2? Their confidence appears absolutely shattered by the Jokic & the Nuggets. I’ll be shocked if Nuggets don’t repeat as Champs, the way they’re playing now. So MINNESOTA pro sports team to crash & burn like this…or said differently…to have the unfortunate luck of jump starting a RED 🔥 🏀 opponent

The 5 day break between game 2 and 3 allowed Murray to get back to close to full health which was a huge factor, and the NBA's unwillingness to suspend him for his egregious actions in game 2 played a huge part in it as well. That, combined with Jokic being the best player on the planet right now makes the Nuggets a very tough out.

The series isn't over but the Wolves certainly have an uphill battle now. The Wolves bench has been outplayed by Denver's bench and the officiating has definitely forced the Wolves defense to be a lot less physical in the last 3 games than they were the first two. When you can't be physical against a team with the offensive weapons that Denver has it's going to be really hard to beat them.

Joker has badly embarrassed Rudy , KAT & Naz…none of them can come close to guarding him. lol...Ant needs to (literally) score 50 tonight & Connelly must play to have any hope…

Evidently…Connolly is (still) questionable for tonight. If he doesn’t play…TWolves will get blown out (again) 🙁

The Timberwolves are favored by 2.5 points. They have a good chance to win this game. Hopefully Conley is able to play.

Minnesota Timberwolves Logo history 500x394

The original Timberpuppies logo is hands down their best. Good to see it on the center court and jerseys.

Den shooting 31% and 19% from 3

oddly both teams 100% on free throws

Can't agree more. The white jerseys are fucking hot. I grew up watching them when Harlan did play by play and they were terrible. Those jerseys tho....

Denver waves the white flag with 10 minutes left in the game pulling their starters while down 30.

The Wolves pull their starters with 8.5 minutes left while up 36.

The Wolves with a 20-0 run in the 1st quarter, a 13-0 run in the 2nd quarter, and a 24-0 run in the 4th quarter.

The Wolves are now up 50 points it's 114-64 with 4.5 minutes to play.

DEN bench looking so disappointed, they def thought they were gonna win.

Per Twitter (not my post)

Per my buddy

… Game Seven / MIN @ DEN - Sunday: 2:30 ABC IF Knicks win tomorrow. If Pacers win, 7p start.

When you tell somebody somethin', it depends on what part of the United States you're standin' in... as to just how dumb you are.

Probably a 7pm start. The Knicks have like 3 starters out. Pacers at home should win at -6.

I checked the lines with about 5 left in the 4th and Denver was -4.5. Shortly after the game I saw it moved to -5

Typical MN Sports team luck, they blow out the Nuggets by 45 & the only thing the sports world is focused on is a 👮losing his cool this morning and handcuffing Scottie Scheffler for driving on the median to get out of gridlocked traffic at the entrance to the golf course this morning, ya can’t make this 💩up! lol

About as flawless an effort as you can ask for from the Wolves last night.

Denver got up 9-2 early in the game. I believe it was KAT said post game that Micah Nori and Finch called them over in the huddle and said "This is it. No more wiggle room, no more mistakes, no more time for error." The Wolves came out of that timeout on a 20-0 run, pushed the lead to 31-14 and Denver couldn't get anything going after that.

Fantastic effort defensively again. Denver's two lowest scoring outputs of the season have both come in this series. When KAT has been able to play defense the way he has been against Jokic without getting into significant foul trouble the Wolves defense has been absolutely suffocating for Denver.

Jaden was the game changer last night IMO. When his shot is falling it forces teams to stretch outside to defend Ant, KAT, Conley AND Jaden and opens up a lot of lanes for backdoor cuts, Ant driving the lane (where he's virtually unstoppable because he's so explosive), and the drive and dish to guys on the wings for open 3s. KAT's game last night was great. He didn't light up the stat sheet scoring but he had 10 points, 13 rebounds, 5 assists, and the biggest thing: 1 turnover and only 3 fouls while being tasked primarily with defending Jokic. It seems like when KAT's shot isn't falling (he was 4/10 last night but 0/4 from 3) he tends to get a little out of control and turn it over and/or commit dumb fouls trying to make up for his misses. Last night he was locked in. If he missed a shot he got back on defense. If he didn't have a great look he was able to find an open man without panicking.

For a 7 game series, most of the games haven't been very close. The Wolves won by 7 in game 1 and Denver won by 8 in game 4. The rest of the margins: 26 (Wolves), 27 (Denver), 25 (Denver), and 45 (Wolves).

Gonna be interesting to see if we get a dramatic game 7 or if one team dominates again.

Murray has a bad elbow and seemed to take a hard hit in 1st quarter.  That must have affected his shooting significantly.  I think he was 1-11 at one point.  Not like his normal sharp shooting self.  He had that elbow wrapped in ice at the end of the game.

If I was on the wolves, I would give him a couple of hard fouls to start the game on Sunday.

It should be noted the refs for last night's game were the same as the refs for Game 2.  We won't likely see those refs for Game 7.

Hopefully the Wolves can still play physical defense.  Hopefully Jamal Murray's arm doesn't heal in time.

What is weird is how easy it is to get Denver to stop caring.  In the second quarter when Ant was out resting and Denver made a bit of a run all it took was a couple of baskets by the Wolves and Denver looked like they wanted to be anywhere else.  When McDaniels hit the shot right before the half the game was over and not because it was like 17 Denver has the guns to come back from that.  No they just didn't want to put up much of a fight and were content to go home for Game 7.  I was watching the game at a bar with a friend (who hasn't watched basketball much in the last 20 years) and even he noticed it.

I don't know if the Wolves will win game 7, I think a lot of that will be decided by how much defense the refs let them play.  That said though in the games the Wolves have won Denver has looked easily rattled if a couple of things dont go their way.

@handyman I was JOKING around…but now after further reflection…the muffled media attention today…I’d say that’s a good thing.. when they went up 2-0 and everyone talked them up as the next great thing they dropped 3 in a row 🙁 They have more than a chip, chair & a chance Sunday, but they’re definitely the underdog.

I hadn't watched the Wolves in 20 years until last night, and I forgot how fun it can be when you have some good players--I used to watch the Wolves ALL the time in the KG days...  And for the first time in 20 years I'm actually kind of excited to watch, even if they lose.

That was the basis of my refs post earlier in the thread. The more the refs let stuff go, the more it favors the Wolves.

Dallas thru to the conference finals, I feel like the Wolves matchup well against them so even more incentive to win Sunday night.

That said, I want to like Donkic as a player but he is the whiniest player in the history of the league. It’s unreal….most players would have been T’d out of their win tonight but of course the ref couldn’t do it and Donkic knew he couldn’t. He’s somehow worse than KAT at his worst.
