At what point does a team like the Rams take Sanders? A team with an established QB but who has 2-3 years left? Why not use a 3rd or 4th rounder on him?
As I just stated, I don't pay close attention to football these days, but, there's no way he doesn't get drafted. Someone will take the shot at it with a 3rd/4th round pick (with the much lower money involved than a 1st rounder) and be willing to cut ties if dealing with the garbage is too much.
B1G refs... corrupt, or just incompetent?
He'll get drafted, and as @steve-mn said, the team will use the "round picked in" as leverage for lower pay.
When you tell somebody somethin', it depends on what part of the United States you're standin' in... as to just how dumb you are.
Steelers pass on Sanders again. That has to mean they are confident they are signing Rodgers, but even if you do….don’t you still need the heir apparent?
I mean, say what you will about Mel Kiper but he has him rated as the #1 QB and we’re 86 picks in
Mel is full of hot air. He's the Barry Melrose of the NFL.

Packers take WRs in the first and third round.
erin Rodgers: “WTF”
Warch the Pack take Sanders in like the 6th and Kiper is right about him.
Holy crap the Browns take Dillon Gabriel over Sanders…what is happening?
And the Falcons take Sanders!
JK but that would be great
Holy crap the Browns take Dillon Gabriel over Sanders…what is happening?
Besides having to deal with the Old Man, I suspect teams are worried about character/chemistry issues with Sanders.
I’m wondering if the Vikings were gonna take Watts?
Looks like we traded back?

But how bad could it be? It’s not like Primetime is gonna be in the QB room. At this point dude is gonna be humbled…and not even 1 team is willing to take that on?

media circus as well.
and Deion and his kids won’t ever be humbled. Deion has said as much
There's still 4 rounds (plus a couple picks) left. He'll get picked at some point, I'm sure. Can't see someone with his numbers going UFAHoly crap the Browns take Dillon Gabriel over Sanders…what is happening?

Starting to make me wonder if Rodgers fell as far as he did in the draft because teams are this good at interviewing players and said “he sucks”
Agreed. Someone will pick him, offer some small contract (perhaps heavily incentive-laden) and then say "Prove it, and you'll get paid."

I agree.

I find it "interesting" what NFL teams have a problem with and what they look the other way on.
There are many players who have had issues with the law and/or domestic violence yet teams aren't nearly as bothered by that as they are about Sanders.
How his career plays out will certainly be interesting.

It's a combo of PR, team unity/locker room camaraderie, salary, ticket sales....lots of factors. It's def not like the old days where "I'm the coach, you're the player."

The simple answer? The headaches that go along with that player.
None of his teammates came to his birthday party. #IYKYK

It certainly couldn't have helped when the Sanders camp tweeted that they were going to decide who Shadeur was going to play for (and not necessarily the team who drafted him), last March 2024.

My wife last night, clueless to the NFL Draft said something similar last night when the camera zoomed in on some Raiders fans.

I posted in a group text that I’m getting a funny feeling that there was some kind of owners conference call to black ball Shedeur.

Being Deion’s kid. I’m surprised he didn’t play two way like Travis Hunter or at very least play a duo offense position.

There are certainly things the Sanders camp have done that have hurt Shedeur's draft stock.
He should have beat up his girl friend instead that is ok in the NFL. There are many examples (including in this draft) of that not causing a player's draft stock to go down much.
Cleveland drafts him in the 5th round.

Archie Manning told the San Diego Chargers that his son Eli Manning wouldn't play for them so Eli was traded to the New York Giants for Phillip Rivers.
Eli got drafted 1st overall. Phillip Rivers got drafted 4th overall.
Archie dedicating who his son would play for didn't hurt where Eli got drafted.

The Browns front office is a real head scratcher. I can see taking one of the two. Though to take both and void trying to find another position to draft and fill.

I have nothing against Shedeur but the Mannings have a QB pedigree that worked in their favor whereas SS can’t say the same. I tend to agree that family’s actions worked against them though the media is pretty good at manufacturing outrage too.Archie Manning told the San Diego Chargers that his son Eli Manning wouldn't play for them so Eli was traded to the New York Giants for Phillip Rivers.

We now know who the Vikings top two QBs are after Darnold, Mullins, and Jones all left in free agency.
Sam Howell was drafted in 2022 by Washington with the 1st pick in the 5th round out of North Carolina. He was their start for all 17 games in 2023. After Washington drafted Jayden Daniels last year with the 2nd pick overall they traded him to Seattle where he backed up Geno Smith last season.
Seattle acquired Howell in a trade last March with the Washington Commanders, giving up third- and fifth-round selections in exchange for Howell and picks in the fourth and sixth rounds. The Seahawks beat out three other teams who were also negotiating with Washington, a source told ESPN at the time.
When Archie Manning dedicated where Eli was going to play it was referred to as looking out for his son. When Deon does it all hell breaks lose and Shedeur drops 4 rounds (130-140 picks).
John Elway's father did the same thing to get him away from Baltimore when he was drafted.
NFL owners certainly treat things differently depending on who is doing it.

Eli also interviewed well. I think shedeur was fine until he started tanking the team interviews
It is certainly possible. MLB owners over the years have colluded to hold down (free agent) salaries. In many sports the owners hire commissioners who will look out for their interests.Holy crap the Browns take Dillon Gabriel over Sanders…what is happening?

In the interview with the Chargers I am picturing Eli snapping his gum with his feet up on the owner's desk while his father Archie repeatedly says he will never play for you every time the Chargers tried to ask Eli a question.

There’s definitely more to the Sanders situation compared to Eli Manning
Worst drafted player name:
Aeneas Peebles
Really, you’re naming your kid anus?

The NFL draft is too long. If I wanted to see 32 picks in 3 hours, I'd watch Trevor Lawrence.

That doesn’t sound like it was written by the kid dumb enough to make that prank call. PR person trying to help save daddy’s job maybe?
It was a prank call. If the kid was a no-one, this would be a non-story, as far as "real" news. *shrug* Tampering, etc, gimme a break. The kid thought it would be funny (and it was).

Supposedly the draftee’s phone numbers are only available to each team’s war rooms. I assume the kid somehow got it from his dad’s info. I highly doubt the dad was in on it. I also saw the phone number was leaked by the GMs daughter of the Giants who goes to Ole Miss. Which in the video the kid making the prank call was wearing Ole Miss gear.
