Where did the ball land? Did the defender at any point try to play the ball? I thought it was a pretty easy callAs he’s looking at the ball backpedaling? He’s there first and the guy comes into him. So he has to backpedal faster and let the guy get to it? They’re both hand fighting and he’s backing up. That’s extremely marginal at best
Baltimore may need pj to come by and give a the ball is the program speech.
Saw the replay, and the replay, and the replay, that was a hometown call.
And THE FITZMAGIC IS REAL RIGHT NOW. What a turnover!

ravens season on life support and the Jackson doesn’t perform in the playoffs adage is going to get very loud again
Just remember, they are playing the Bills, who are the AFC version of the Vikes....

Andrews is going to need security detail back in Baltimore.
Going for 2 late in the 3rd is the difference between possibly OT to losing.
Keep your stick on the ice...
I was recently informed by a GPLer that I'm related to Airey
Washington (+4.5) @ Philadelphia
Buffalo (+1.5) @ Kansas City
I want and see both road teams winning.

Buffalo, well, because I know the pain of 4 Super Bowl losses. Their fans deserve a trip back there. Plus, enough KC already.
Washington, because right now they're the fun team to watch. The game yesterday reminded me a lot of Vikings-49ers in the 1987 playoffs. And for all that's holy, no more Nick Sirianni. I'm so tired of that mope.
Idk if it’s really the wrong call with all the talent and different looks they have on offense. Andrews has to catch that 2 point attempt or better yet not fumble, Lamar’s fumble was also brutal as it was basically a seven point swing in the other direction. I thought Lamar was really good in the second half, near perfect even but the two mistakes really killed their chances of winning.Going for 2 late in the 3rd is the difference between possibly OT to losing.
absolutely. Why you chase early I’ll never understand, especially in a game you’re expecting there will be more points.
That was a good game though and basically was AFCCG quality in terms of the teams, unfortunately one had to lose. Faalele looked really good and Bateman had a nice game.
1992 SB Revenge.
Go Bills

Lamar once again loses in the playoffs...you can set your clock by it.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but BUF is 4-0 against KC in the last couple years in reg season, but 0-3 vs KC in playoffs. Set your clock to it.Lamar once again loses in the playoffs...you can set your clock by it.
I hope, and believe, truly believe, this is the year. After that? I dunno.

That PHI-WASH game should be a friendly competition. hee hee

Mark Andrews getting a ton of hate, but it was only to tie and the game wasn’t over. Bills still had 2 timeouts and 90 seconds on the clock. All they would need is a FG. There’s like a 75% chance they get that even if Andrews catches the ball for the 2-pointer.
That certainly is the narrative until if/when he finally gets to a Super Bowl & his team wins it. He’s a REGULAR season MVP only!Lamar once again loses in the playoffs...you can set your clock by it.
Buffalo was just called for roughing the passer on Mahomes. 😉

When I paid attention more I would have been able to answer that...but I watch the Vikings games only (and even then if I have better things to do I tend to do them) unless I am at a bar and it is on so I "have" to watch. I honestly find the NFL boring although less boring than other sports.
Ben Johnson told the Lions he will not be returning next year.

He outplayed Mahomes (who won his game due to a superior defense) and hit a guy right in the bread basket to tie the game. Give him Andy Reid and the Chiefs defense and he has multiple super bowls by now.Lamar once again loses in the playoffs...you can set your clock by it.
Andrews fumble was by far the bigger disaster that half, especially in a game they lost by 2.Mark Andrews getting a ton of hate, but it was only to tie and the game wasn’t over. That’d be a good matchup though I think either AFC team is worthy. Washington has been great so far but they seem like a team that might pull off an upset and get owned in the Super Bowl which I’d rather not see.

I didn't blame the loss on him I just said you can set your clock by him losing in the playoffs. How many times has Lamar made it to the Super Bowl exactly despite being the MVP I believe multiple times? (he did make the AFC Title game once)
The meatball takes are from the crowd that has to make excuses. Yes he put them in the position to tie the game and no it is not his fault the guy dropped it. Sure he outplayed Mahomes, he also outplayed Allen from what the stats say...but remind me which two QBs are still playing and which one is (as per usual) going home?
Lamar is 3-5 in the playoffs, and its not like his team is terrible historically. Sooner or later you have to do more than be awesome in the regular season. Until he at least makes a Super Bowl (let alone wins one) it is completely fair to criticize him no matter what the stats say. Do you think Dan Marino would trade his stats for another shot at a Lombardi Trophy?
And BTW it isn't just Lamar, if Allen loses to Mahomes there will be the same criticism. Joe Burrow...same thing. (hell it dogged Peyton for years until he won one) QBs are the faces of franchises, the league is set up for them to be the stars. With that comes the pressure of being the goat when you don't make it to the Super Bowl. Same for coaches...how many coaches have very good records overall but because of losses in the playoffs (often caused by factors outside their control) lost their jobs are are seen as less than?
You can cite all the stats you want but in the end you either win or you don't and if you don't then you get ripped. May not be fair but he is making tens of millions of dollars a season I think he can deal with it.
I Don’t care what the braindead sports media takes are because I have an IQ over 70 and realize it’s a team sport.
Last year was a perfect example actually, Harbaugh got completely away from the run game that carried them all season and viola they lose a close one to the Chiefs, the smarter coach and deeper team won per usual. Zay Flowers fumbled on the one in a game they lost by 7. For once I’d like to see Bateman and Flowers both on the field for one of these games (Bateman was out last year and flowers this year).
Lamar’s job is to move the ball effectively and he’s done that in these games, if his receivers or TE toss the game there’s not much he can do. Mahomes has the superior record this year to all these QBs despite being pedestrian all year and getting carried by his defense while his teammates don’t make catastrophic errors. Meanwhile a team like Cincy probably doesn’t win a single game without Burrow at QB.
It’s also not like we’ve seen Mahomes lose in some of these big games when he doesn’t have the better team, we all remember him running for his life against Tampa and not looking particularly good that game. I kinda doubt if those teams flipped QBs that game that the outcome would’ve been any different. Burrow beat him straight up on the road a few years ago and if not for some help from the refs that might’ve happened twice in a row.
This isn’t about stats either, wins are a stat if we want to get technical. The other three QBs mentioned are all capable of winning super bowls with better help around them they just haven’t had it and aren’t the sole reason their team can’t beat the chiefs and the refs to get to the superbowl.
Also the funny thing about coaches is that Andy Reid was exactly that coach until recently. Chiefs were getting destroyed by the Titans and Ryan Tannehill in the AFCCG in 2019 and I was thinking “here we go again”. Amazing how perceptions change when you don’t have out of shape Donovan McNabb throwing up in the huddle.

i agree with you. But i think more it is Lamar's splits with how good he is and his seemingly much worse splits in the postseason (which ignores how crazy his regular season stats are, especially the last 2 years as he's started hitting his prime). Lamar made 2-3 bigger mistakes (the pick, the fumble on the sack, and taking the sack when they had 2nd and goal from the 3) last night which is all anyone will talk about. Personally I think that's silly but Allen outexecuted him last night with a worse team though with home field advantage.
Career postseason: 3-5 record (only 4 on of these are on the road), 10TD vs 7 Int, 1753 yards (219 yards/game), 3 TD runs, 7 fumbles. sacked 29 times
Regular season: 74-29 record, 166 TD vs 49Int, 20059 yards (194 yards/game), 33 TDs, 63 fumbles, sacked 192 times
last 2 years postseason: 2-2 record, 7 TD 2 Int, 853 yards (213/game), 2 TD runs, 2 fumbles, sack 10 times
last 2 years RS: 25-8 record, 65TD vs 11 Int, 7850 yards (238/game), 9 TDs, 21 fumbles, sack 60 times
If you like advanced analytics, their offensive EPA has only been a plus in 3 postseason games under Lamar and never in a game they've lost.
The fumble was set up by a horrible snap, it immediately became a blown play and he prob should’ve just taken the sack as that prob would’ve resulted in +3 points instead of going down another 7. That one is really unlucky because that fumble got recovered a long distance to set them up for an easy TD. The pick was set up by immediate pressure as Romo mentioned, prob need to throw that out of bounds as the receiver doesn’t have time to complete that route. Both were costly mistakes by Lamar admittedly but those other factors definitely played a huge role.
Also idk if the Bills are the worse team especially at home. If Zay Flowers wasn’t injured I’d for sure agree with you but that does change their receiver depth chart.
Lamar didn’t have a great first half admittedly but I wouldn’t say it was entirely his fault either with the line play. He was incredible in the second half and did everything in his power to give his team a shot. You do kinda wonder where they go from here, Harbaugh is basically unfireable as he’s been there forever and keeps putting together good teams, I do think he got outclassed by Andy Reid last year and earlier this season though. Lamar isn’t going anywhere, he probably wins the MVP. Guessing they just tinker around the edges and run it back but that sometimes doesn’t go well.
On a side note it was good to see Faalele and Bateman have good games, hopefully Bateman is ok too he got hurt late in the game.

I want a Revenge game WAS-BUF (1992 SB).

Gotta love Bills fans. After Mark Andrews dropped the 2 point conversion to tie the Bills/Ravens game Bills fans have donated over 60k to his charity.
He’s also received death threats from Ravens fans. Which is just sick. I’m an intense fan, when it comes to things I love, but can’t imagine ever sending a death threat.

Barkley's 1st TD would have been a head-scratcher even in Madden.
